The Crown’s Soul Prophecy

Rate this book
There is no way to keep love imprisoned.
When Anima Soleri moved back home after her parents' passing, all she had in mind was getting away from a toxic ex-boyfriend, opening a photography studio, and maybe buying a book or two at the cozy neighborhood bookstore, dear to her since she was a child.

But what if Forestiero isn’t just a bookstore?

Owned by a curiously enigmatic family who know more about her than they should, this portal between worlds holds dazzling mysteries, many of them about Anima herself.

As secrets come to light between the shelves, Anima finds herself nestled between two enigmatic brothers who have devoted their lives and hearts to her cause—and she comes to realize just how much her parents hid from her when she finds herself facing a world she never expected, a crown she's not ready for, and a curse that must be broken.

Tormented by a recurring, cryptic dream, Anima must find a way to fulfil her destiny and save them all. If her stalker ex-boyfriend doesn't get her first. Or one of those creepy figures that keeps popping out of nowhere . . .

The Crown’s Soul Prophecy is a story about dreams, magic, betrayal and fate.

Letizia Firmani is an Italian author with an incurable obsession for anything fantasy or romance-related. After majoring in Photography while consuming a very healthy amount of fan fictions, Firmani finally decided to give novel writing a go when the world shut down. Letizia spends most of her time daydreaming about fictional characters, putting hot sauce on things that definitely don’t need it, and crafting your next favorite book boyfriend. She splits her time between Italy and Canada with her partner and an ever-growing number of cats who may or may not be plotting world domination.

I was the alpha reader of this babe, and I love it and charish it like it's my own.
It helps that the author is also called Letizia.

Anyway, Anima & Dionisio 4evah and Svetlana takes the crown.
Figuratively, because the crown technically isn't hers.

Cover reveal tomorrow, and out on December 12th!
Fantasy-romantasy girlies, this one's for you!

Just finished this one a few minutes ago and 😱😱😱 THAT ENDING!!

And the plot twist 🤯 I must say I didn’t see that one coming 🫣

To be honest, it took me a while to really get into the story at first! Everything was happening so fast and I’m a slow burn girlie so I did feel a little bit rushed, at first. Butttttt the plot was so good and once I was hooked, I couldn’t stop reading 🤭

I had so many theories and I’m glad to say most of them were right 😏 I love when that happens !! It makes me feel smart 🧠

I don’t wanna say too much because I don’t wanna spoil it but when a certain character was told to f*ck off and get out I almost screamed !! It felt so good 😍

I cannot wait to see more of Dusäiga in book 2 🏰

Letizia!!! My friend 💜 thank you so much for the copy!! I truly cannot wait for book 2 🫶🏼

edit 2/3/24: i usually come back to books a few months later (or sooner) if i’ve been thinking about it a lot. and i’ve been thinking about this one a lot. not in a good way :(

my critiques hold true - admittedly i haven’t gone back and looked to see if the author has made any edits post publishing. if she didn’t, i strongly suggest she does. unfortunately i will not be spending money on purchasing a book full of typos, and if i did do that it was outside of the return window that author would automatically be on my “don’t buy again” list. unfortunately this one isn’t for me, and unless some decent edits are made, i’m not sure i can recommend this one. it needed a *lot* of work.

i’m very forgiving when it comes to indie authors, so at first i tried to be as forgiving as i could. i wish letizia the best of luck in the future, and if this receives the edits it deserves then i can see it being a 3-3.5 star.

of course goodreads crashed and i lost my entire review, so if this seems discombobulated, it is.

first of all, thank you so much to letizia for the arc. i love being an arc reader and supporting indie authors, and so this is incredibly special to me.

here’s the good:
- the magic system and other world letizia creates is incredibly interesting from page 1. you’re given a prophecy, some bad guys, some good guys and you learn about this world alongside the fmc, amina, and it’s truly done so well.
- an extension of that point is how well i think firmani did with amina’s character. she’s so fun to watch learn and grow and stumble into this new world. she wrote one hell of a badass character and i cannot wait to see where she goes. she also has DEPTH which is wonderful to see.
- the PLOT ???? WOW. i mean ASIDE from the magic stuff, you get sexy men, a hilarious best friend, drama, a love triangle. seriously so good and kept you interested.
- seriously i love svetlana she’s the best.
- and dionisio. god i love him.
- speaking of. CAN SOMEONE SAY TENSION. PLS.

the critiques:
- first and foremost as much as i want to give every indie author 5 stars, i am a reviewer first and that means being honest about what made this book not that for me.
- there seemed to be a lot of repetitive phrases throughout the book.
- amina gives a couple of short monologue recaps of what’s going on, and i think it was a bit much. giving the recap to her friend would’ve worked just as well as the other two.
- i’m not COMPLETELY counting this as a pitfall for now, but i really hope to learn more about the magic system in book 2.
- some of the dialogue was very stilted (I am vs I’m) and seeing as the first part of the book takes part in a would be modern day world, it felt very “this is my first day on earth and this is how i feel like i should talk”
- the rock climbing scene. LOOK. i’m a rock climber too. DO NOT GET ME WRONG. I LOVE TO SEE THE REPRESENTATION. HOWEVER. i wonder if to non-climbers, this scene is clear enough. to a climber this scene makes perfect sense. (she talks about a sloper hold, a common bouldering hold, and there was very little description as to what that is, same w “beta”) and honestly i would’ve loved to see more detail written into the training scenes as a whole. talk about the training of the breathing, the sweat running down her brow. the brush of her hair on her shoulder when she tilts her head up to see the top.

First of all, FUCK EROS. 🖕🏻
Second of all, FUCK EROS. 🖕🏻
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now that that’s out of the way,
Hi, my name is Sara, and I don’t really like fantasy, BUT THIS BOOK, JESUS. This book had me in a chokehold. From the first to the last page, it has been a pleasure to read.
Anima, the girl I want to be when I grow up. She is kind and gentle, righteous and brave, pure and loving. The way she acts, the way she talks, the way she loves, it’s all perfect. It’s all beautiful. And for some strange reason, in my mind, she looked like Letizia. I just couldn’t separate the two.
Dionisio, the man who has me wrapped around his finger, my newest book boyfriend. He is the most beautiful person in the world inside and out. Yup, you heard me right. He is that. Pure perfection. I was under his spell since the first time he popped into the book, with his “hello, brother” BDE. Yes, I am the biggest Damon Salvatore fan, and yes, Dionisio has that vibe to me. And don’t get me started on his green eyes. In my mind they were as green as Irish fields. GORGEOUS. I loved how gentle he was to Anima, but at the same time, he empowered her. Made her feel strong. What a man! 🤌🏻
Svetlana. My soul sister. The best friend in the world. The most amazing woman. I love how blunt she was, how she always said what’s on her mind, how she never let a certain beautiful face mess with her thoughts about the person it belongs to. She calls people out on their bullshit, she has no time to fuck around. And she is a Dionisio stan. I’m forever team Svetlana! 👀
The plot twist in this book will hit you like a truck! Are you ready for it? Because I most certainly was NOT.
Letizia did an amazing job, the world building is on point, the characters are deeply developed. I felt love, I felt lust, I felt disappointment and disgust.
I’m so proud of you, L! And so happy to be in your corner! 💛💛💛
5/5⭐️ from me!
I was going to give this a second try, but I have to be honest and admit I’m never coming back to it. I also want to preface with the fact that this review does contain spoilers, but I’m not checking the box because I really think people need to see this.
First off, THANK YOU heavily to Letizia for the ARC copy of this. Unfortunately, this fell very flat. Majorly from a technical standpoint.
Pros: I’m genuinely intrigued by the idea of hiding a girl in the mortal world until “it’s time.” The characters are also not annoying (from what I read), which is huge for me if you know me.
Cons: as much potential as this has, it desperately needs an editor. A professional editing of this book would take it to a completely new level. The prologue was confusing, and the writing was choppy. It felt very juvenile in writing style in a way that made me unable to digest it easily. I felt like I was losing brain cells from the inconsistencies. That being said, I can feel the potential. What I really can’t get over is the incest. That’s right! You heard me!! The FMC’s BLOOD BROTHER FUCKED HER. AND NOT ON ACCIDENT. HE WAS DRUGGING HER WITH A LOVE POTION SO HE COULD GET WITH HIS SISTER. I’m all for the fucked, dark, and twisty, but knowingly sleeping with your full blooded sister after essentially giving her GHB is BEYOND.
I want to support my indie authors of course, especially on a debut novel, so this is really painful for me to do. I’m also only giving this 2 stars instead of 1 because it appears the author has been deleting 1 star reviews, which really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I’m super sad about this, but what can you do.
I was a beta reviewer for an advanced copy of this book. This was not a paid review. Thank you to the author for the advanced copy. This was a fast read. I enjoyed the overall story and the characters. It made me more interested in reading more fantasy. The pacing at times felt off, especially the last 10% of the book was too quick compared to the rest.
I think my biggest complaint gives a way a huge spoiler, but I did not like the sibling reveal. It was very uncomfortable for me. I think especially since they slept together. If they had just spent time together but nothing sexual happened, I would have found the twist shocking and would have rated the book higher, but this particular trope isn't just for me.
I did love how Dionistiero encouraged Amina to be strong, independent, and not belong to anyone. I enjoyed their relationship. I also loved her best friend Sveltana.
I think if it wasn't for the sibling relationship I would have enjoyed this book a lot more. The ending cliffhanger was brutal. I really want to know what happens next and especially see if they go into the other world.
I loved this book! I had to force myself to stop reading so that I could savor it, otherwise I would have powered through in just a few sittings. TCSP is a fantasy romance but the author has created such a unique experience for the reader in a real world setting of northern Italy (which I want to travel to now), mixed with a fantasy world that one could only dream of.
The FMC, Anima is so relatable. She’s strong and very likable. Everyone deserves a bestie like Svetlana! Personally, I’ve claimed Dionisio as my newest book boyfriend 😏
I’m so grateful to have been able to beta read for Letizia! And no spoilers. But I highly recommend reading this book if you like a fantasy romance. You won’t be disappointed ☺️
You can find this review of The Crown's Soul Prophecy on my blog, Heart's Content!
A big shout out and thank you to the author for providing me an Advanced Reader’s Copy in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!
I’ve truly been on a spree of signing up to review so many books recently. Usually, I’m to blame, but this time around, I shall confidently point all fingers to the authors who are putting out books that are so interesting that I wouldn’t be a book blogger if I didn’t sign up for them. When I read the blurb for The Crown’s Soul Prophecy, I was immediately intrigued. I had recently learned the difference between a fantasy novel and a novel with magical realism. Magical realism is a genre that “depicts the real world as having an undercurrent of magic or fantasy” (google) and it was clear TCSP fell into this category, and having had some good experiences in the past with this genre I wanted to try again.
I would say TCSP starts off at a good pace before it takes off running—the reader equivalent of letting a fish adjust to the water first. I personally loved the way the beginning of the book packs a lot of emotion, sets up the heroine’s reality, her situation, her occupation, her connections and then goes on to shatter a lot of that as the plot unravels. So essentially, the fish adjusts for about a minute before it’s on zoomzoom mode.
This book is the author’s debut if I’m not wrong and the writing is testament to the new voice of the author. I do feel with the book, the author grew too and I would truly love to see how the author’s style morphs three books from now. Circling back, the writing does have a youthfulness to it but I would not call it a deterrent, it’s noticeable but it doesn’t get in the way. Additionally, it’s also rather easy to read. Ahana had the zoomies reading this book; had I not had to take a few breaks because…. well, life, this book would’ve been a strong candidate for a two-sitting-read. Despite the nature of the author’s voice, I would say the content is adult, the matters dealt with are heavy and can hurt and disturb, please exercise caution.
The plot was such a strong point in the book. I could tell the author really knew what she wanted to do with the story and I loved watching it unravel, clueing us in and taking us for a ride at the same time. I loved that she warned us it was a love-triangle and I do think Firmani has done justice to that trope. To everyone out there that hates a love triangle like me, I think the author has done a great job writing it and she’s pretty clear about who the hero is and having that puzzle start to fit together and become real is definitely a daunting task that Firmani pulls off. Yowza, the plot twists are … *eye-swirling-emoji*
The book is written in first person single POV and I definitely enjoyed being in Anima‘s head. The poor girl has really been pushed against the wall with everything that happens to her in a span of six-odd months and I think she does her best from page one to come to terms with it. My heart really goes out to her. But she’s smart, she’s got help, her intuition is top notch and I loved watching her come into herself slowly but surely through the course of the book. The world-building is tied in with the FMC’s narration and I think it was done rather neatly. There’s of course still a lot more to go but whatever was introduced in this book was just right and a perfect set-up to build on for the rest of the series.
The secondary characters are so important to the story and I’m surprised how well they were threaded into the FMC’s life and future. I loved watching each relationship go through the test of time and magic. No character is introduced as an accident and all of them have their own plot-purpose. Also! There’s a prophecy for all those that love watching how these things unravel.
4.5 stars! The book is a nice little stressful escape with humour and magic for anyone looking for a good read that’s available on Kindle Unlimited. The Crown’s Soul Prophecy has released and is absolutely free for you KU subscribers. Check trigger warnings please and happy reading.
Astounding Debut!!!!OMG! I lovedddd it!!!!! Where to begin without spoilers?! Letizia did a wonderful job on the plot with all the twists and turns. Slow burn, found family, fated mates, chosen one are some of the tropes included in this banter filled steamy romantasy. The worldbuilding, italian setting, and magical elements were descriptive.
The characters were extremely likable (except 2 who shall not be named!); their development and growth were relatable and believable. Anima is dealt with a lot of changes throughout the story that, despite her anxiety and PTSD, she works through with grace and strength. Dionisio is so damn swoon-worthy, he’s so protective, understanding and doesn't want to own Anima or change her. He can call me Little Ninja anyday! Svet is my spirit animal, she deserves her own crown and some card lessons (hehe)!
That cliffhanger tho, I need the sequel immediately! Add to your TBR like right now!
Where do I even BEGIN
Romantasy fans PLS don’t sleep on this.
Getting to be part of the group to read this book before its release date is so special, this book has me feeling so many different things. I can’t believe I have to keep my mouth shut about how I feel on the plot twists bc I am SHOOK.
This was a ride from start to finish, obsessed with this story and I need book 2 immediately.
- I love men written by women.
- Svet is a real one, she made me laugh so many times
- Dionisio reminds me of Damon Salvatore SO much and we all know how I feel about him so 👀
- almost all of the characters are so loveable (u know who I don’t think is loveable hehe) and I want to visit this stunning town SO badly
WHAT DID I JUST READ. This book was seriously so wild. I was a little confused at the beginning and for a bit I wasn't sure how I felt about the book but once you get towards to the end, you find out it's all for a reason. That twist was INSANE. D...my man. I love him so freaking much. The book never dragged one bit. Once I got to 35% i couldn't put it down. I need to KNOW.
Evidentemente chiamarsi Letizia, essere italiane e vivere all'estero fa dare il meglio di sé in fatto di libri! (looking at you Letizia Lorini).
Quest'anno ho letto molti "primi libri" di scrittrici emergenti, e devo dire che ogni volta sono rimasta sorpresa e deliziata dalla loro bravura e dalla bellezza della loro scrittura, da cosa erano in grado di creare e far vivere al lettore. Ecco, Letizia Firmani non è da meno, anzi, è proprio l'ennesima conferma di quanto sia importante supportare in ogni modo possibile queste prime opere, anche solo decidere di leggerli, dando loro una possibilità.
Ho amato questo libro, il setting (è ambientato in Italia!), i personaggi (incredibilmente Letizia è riuscita a de/scrivere dei personaggi in modo tale che quasi nessuno di essi possa risultare al lettore mancante di qualcosa, anche in un ruolo antipatico, con lei un personaggio riesce comunque a brillare), la magia (di cui spero di vedere ancora di più nel secondo libro), la trama, tutto ha reso questa lettura piacevole e impossibile da abbandonare!
I am writing this review as an arc reader. I am also writing this as soon as I finish the book. I am reeling from what I have just finished.
The Corwn’s Soul Prophecy sent me on an emotional rollercoaster. From the beginning to the end, I was enthralled with the book, and if I was not working or driving, I was reading this book.
The setting was so pretty! I have not read a book in so long that was based in another country like Italy. I loved it and now want to move there. I love the small village that they are in. It's so cute and unique. The details of Villacrosia brought the town to life. I loved learning about the place that Anima was raised in.
The characters were very well written. They enthralled me. Anima change though the story was terrific. From the beginning of the book with her to the end, she changes so much, and I love it. In some parts, I wanted to say, “TRUST YOUR GUT, GIRL!” Thinking about it now, I can see where she is coming from. When in a toxic relationship, you miss the red flags. With her learning about her past, she was coming away from a poisonous relationship and learning to control her power. The poor girl is overwhelmed. I could feel for her and was rooting for her. With other characters, I love all of them except for the ones I hate with a thousand suns. You will have to read to find these characters. All of them were full of personality and quirks.
The only thing I struggled with was something I loved simultaneously. The details were great, and I loved it. Some things became too much. In some parts, the story slows down a lot due to things being so detailed.
Overall, this is a book you need to read for yourself. Suppose you want something with magic and modern with a twist to soulmates. I highly suggest reading The Crown’s Soul Prophecy.
This was such a fun read and I really enjoyed it.
The plot was super original and that’s something I truly appreciate given how many fantasies I’ve read lately with recycled concepts. The author pulls from her Italian heritage with this one and brings the reader into the most wonderful Italian setting without overcomplicating anything.
The romance in this story is interesting. And not in a bad way, but it has you second guessing everything, which I suppose is normal for a love triangle. The love triangle in question is between two brothers and very much gives off the whole Elena/Stefan/Damon dynamic. Not mad about that at all. I was back and forth the whole time like “ok who am I rooting for now!?”.
The magic system is extremely simplistic and easy to digest, and as someone who struggles to keep up with magic systems in books sometimes, this made the reading experience a lot more enjoyable for me.
No spoilers here but the plot twist!? I was caught extremely off guard and all I can say is holy moly. The gasp I gasped.
A couple of small critiques for this debut novel is the grammar is sometimes a bit confusing. There’s a lot of places where the wording can be adjusted to match the setting. “I am” is used a lot instead of “I’m” while other contractions are used. The formality was a bit inconsistent in that way. HOWEVER, I am fairly certain English is a second language for the author so it’s not enough of a problem for me to completely change my rating. Another thing is one particular section where the characters are climbing. As someone who has never gone climbing in her life, I had zero clue what was going on due to the verbiage used. It would be beneficial for the author to include small descriptions for each term in the future.
Overall, I really enjoyed this one and I can’t wait to find out what happens after the crazy cliffhanger I was left with.
5⭐️ 2.5🌶️
Wow!! I absolutely had a blast reading The Crown’s Soul Prophecy. Definitely goes in my top reads. Letizia did a great job in hooking me in immediately and keeping my interest high throughout the whole book. All the mysteries really worked well and I had so much fun trying to connect the dots and making up my own theories while reading. I really did not see the plot twist coming the way it did and all I can say is, wow! It hits, hard. I truly didn’t expect it, not like that for sure lol you need to be able to stand a bit of disgust.
The fmc and the love interest were perfect! I found Anima really relatable and with a realistic and believable arc, the love interest is perfect, so loving and empowering, and damn hot (keeping this spoiler free so no names). The fmc’s best friend, Svetlana, was such a refreshing and beautiful character to read. I loved her so much too! It was refreshing to have a fmc have a real and wonderful friendship. The antagonist omg absolutely disgusting, and I’m so looking forward to book two to better understand them and the plot. I’m so curious to see what’s gonna happen!
I totally recommend this book, especially if you wanna read something a bit different but still within the fantasy romance genre!
💚contemporary world
💚love triangle (a bit different than the usual and I really appreciated it!!)
We start this story with a scene that sets this book’s tone. Two children playing and suddenly their world changes with little details about what’s going on. we then get transported for what’s considered today, and we’re introduced to Anima the FMC. We get a little background about her life and a traumatic experience that led her to flee yet another life. Anima is in her early 20s and trying to figure out her life after loss, we then meet 2 MCs. The story has elements of magic, parallel universes, soul mates. I found some parts to be repetitive, some reactions to be far less dramatic than it should have been (if someone tells you that your whole life is a lie, you might react differently?) one element could have been avoided completely (you can create an evil brother without this one thing that happened between the siblings) and the characters’s reaction to it was terrible I was expecting total breakdown!!! My thoughts were that the author could have easily eluded it to or just made it that one character tried and the other refused to go through with it? Having it detailed on paper was too much? And for one character to not have enjoyed it was this supposed to be the saving grace? I hope this is just setting up for what’s to come? Do I want to know what happens next? Yes. Will I seek it? I don’t know!
The good: This book is a great read. We’ve got two brothers fighting for the FMC: Anima’s attention. The sassy best friend Svetlana is in peak performance and does her duty as a best friend. The story is great and intriguing and the magic system is well thought out, even if we only see a little bit of it. Anima is the ruler of a town called Dusäiga. She has to regain her memories with the help of two brothers in order to retake her crown and save Dusäiga. There are baddies and love triangles, twists and turns, sassy comments and sarcastic comebacks which all make a great story.
The badish: some of the language was very elevated when it didn’t need to be. Trust me I love $10 words as much as the next person, but sometimes the use of them took you out of the story. The other thing is there is a scene about bouldering, and I am not a climber but I understood some of what was happening until the talk of betas. While I’m sure readers who are climbers understood that scene clearly. I did not. I also wanted more montage of the training both in magic and physical training.
The NOT ugly: Dionisio’s arms…. Dionisio’s abs….. Dionisio’s body… Dionisio’s face…. What was it described as….Godlike??
All in all I very much enjoyed this book! I recommend you go out and read it! It will keep you guessing and wanting answers just as much as Anima does.
I received a copy of The Crown’s Soul Prophecy as an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy). This review is based purely on my own opinion.
The Crown’s Soul Prophecy is a fantasy story about a young woman who lives a pretty mundane life. Her parents have passed away, she has a toxic ex-boyfriend, she is the owner of a photography business and loves to read books that she gets at her local bookstore. However this bookshop is not your typical store. It is actually a portal between the modern world and a magical realm. When she receives a book with more intrigue about the magical realm, she discovers secrets about her past and two brothers who know more than they should.
There is a strong FMC and an equally strong side character who happens to be the FMC’s best friend that has a witty and charismatic personality. The dialogue in the story has wit and banter, with the two brothers adding admirable traits and serious flaws. They gave off character vibes of Stefan and Damon Salvatore.
Although I enjoyed the dialogue, I felt the story was a bit rushed and would have preferred more character development. I also would have preferred to dive more into the world building to accompany the dialogue and enhance the storyline.
I loved the way the book built up and the twists and turns in the plot. I still give this a 3.5 ⭐️ and look forward to continuing the story in the second book.
This debut is incredible, refreshing, and something everyone needs on their bookshelf. The book is set in Italy, and I absolutely love the descriptions that really make you feel like you are in such a magical place.
I find this story to be quite unique with its fantasy elements and have not read anything like this which is both riveting and exciting, while keeping the mystery and intrigue for the sequel.
Let's talk about the characters for a moment. Anima, is a fierce, strong and relatable FMC that you will love. Svetlana, the best friend that everyone needs, her wit and sarcasm bring a lightness to the story. Dionisio...as much as I wish I could gatekeep and keep him to myself, he deserves to be loved by all. He has been permanently added to the list of book boyfriends. The chemistry between these characters is *chefs kiss.
There are many twists, turns, and loopty loops that have you questioning everything, but the tension and surprise were very well executed.
The book ends on a cliffhanger that leaves you aching for more.
All in all, this is a solid debut full of magic, intrigue, humor, the perfect amount of romance and spice and so much more. I can't wait to see what else the author has in store!
This book is incredible! I had so much anticipation to read this book while hearing about it from Letizia during the writing process, and was so happy to be able to beta read it and already can’t wait for the second book!
If the FMC Anima doesn’t sound like you, I bet she sounds like someone you know. She is so incredibly understandable, strong willed, and very witty. All of the characters have amazing humour and so much passion which made me constantly want to keep reading. The book touches on relationships and romance that I’m sure everyone has or will experience at some point which is very relatable. I’m sure you will fall in love with characters, and be clutching your pearls to find out where the story takes them just as I did!
If you like fantasy romance books infused with magic that will give you goosebumps and butterflies like ACOTAR, & From Blood and Ash, you will absolutely love this book!
I absolutely loved "Crown's Soul Prophecy"! It's a magical story set in Italy, mixing real life with an amazing fantasy world. Anima, the main character, is strong and relatable, and her best friend Svetlana is awesome! And let's not forget Dionisio - he's become my new book crush!
The story has everything: secrets, magic, romance, and unexpected twists. The way the author describes the Italian setting and the magical elements is so vivid and cool.
The characters grow and change throughout the story, especially Anima. And that cliffhanger at the end? It made me so excited for the next book!
Even though I don't usually go for fantasy, this book grabbed my attention from beginning to end. Anima's bravery and the charm of characters like Dionisio and Svetlana made it a fantastic read.
" Crown's Soul Prophecy" is a book I'd recommend to anyone who loves romance mixed with fantasy. It's a must-read, and I can't wait for the next one!
Right, wishing I was back in Italy. This has an Italian setting and now I'm missing Italy.
I loved this! This is my first book by this author and it won't be my last! I can't wait to read more!
This captivated me right from the start and I had to pace myself so I wouldn't finish it in one go!
*I received this as an ARC, and I am leaving an honest and voluntary review*
A fantasy romance about a Princess without memories of her previous royal life and land, who returns to her home town and slowly comes to terms with who she is whilst being romanced by some gorgeous men who are also not who they appear to be.
I enjoyed this story, it was well written and beautifully descriptive, I could really see the picturesque Italian town. It felt like a nod to a Grimm's fairy tale. It was fast paced with some enjoyable scenes with the bad guys.
The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that for one, I guessed all the plot twists beforehand so no real tension for me. And secondly it was simply too Young Adult for my tastes - lots of gorgeous people, sex and yearning! So if that's your bag you will love this book.
I normally don't bother writing reviews, but I feel like this book deserves one (and a good one of course).
Look, I'm a 30 year old guy who loves a fantasy book, but more the Tolkien kind of fantasy. I think I'm clearly not the target audience for this.
And yet, I really enjoyed it! I loved the characters, the twists, the setting, and I found it very easy to read, I couldn't stop reading it: the story really engaged me and I was always very curious to discover what would happen next. So of course I can't wait to read the second book of the duology.
I would definitely recommend this book!
Letizia, you've got a new fan :)
Dionisio and Anima have such a special relationship, on the other hand I was very annoyed by Eros. Since the beginning I was quite suspicious but the end got me completely disgusted.
Dionisio is my new book boyfriend, thanks!
Svetlana is such a great best friend.
Considering the fact that I love fantasy books, I enjoyed this book but I wish we got to see more of the magic. I guess it's only the beginning, Anima just started learning how to control her powers.
I like the fact that the story is set in Italy. 😁
Could not be happier for my friend Letizia on the release of her debut novel.
This fantasy romance is like a grown up adult version of the pagemaster with plenty of slow burn spice thrown in. But seriously? A hidden world through a bookstore? Love it! This book shows that the love triangle plotline isn't dead and Dionisio? Sir, I'll be your little ninja all day and night.
So if you're looking for a cozy fantasy romance to snuggle up with that boasts a stunning Italian setting, hidden powers and worlds, lots of tension and make your jaw drop twists and turns? Grab this book!
