I devoured this in one sitting. There’s a reason that Margot Scott is one of my go to for comfort reads. She always just hits all my buttons, just right.

Now that’s not to say that this story is cozy and sweet because it’s anything but.

It’s the last summer for Willow to spend with her dad before she’s off to the other side of the country to attend an Ivy League college. Her and Erik try to hit up all the national parks and this year it’s Yellowstone.

After a long hike, they’re both excited for a hot spring to relax in but that special moment is annihilated by the appearance of 4 men that make them both nervous.

They’re instinct we’re right as these men proceed to SA Willow. If that wasn’t bad enough they hold Erik at gun point to take his own daughter’s virginity.

From there it’s a crazy ride as these two not only fight and try to escape these awful men but fight the growing chemistry between them.

This was dark, entirely f’d up but also the love these two held onto as they endured the unthinkable made it all worthwhile.

There is pretty hard core sexual assault scenes that they do to the heroine in the book that turned my stomach. The 4 men in the book grope and assault the h. Finger her and make her give a blowjob to one of the men. They then force her father to take the h v-card.

Willow is eighteen years old. She was raised as an only child by her father, Erik after her mother died in childbirth. Having completed her secondary schooling, Willow is preparing to leave home to attend the Ivy League school she has been accepted by.

Willow and Erik try to take a camping trip every year. For what might be their final trip, they are revisiting a favourite site at Yellowstone National Park.

They stop to soak in a hot spring along the trail to their campsite. They haven't been there long when four men approach and join them in the spring. Erik is uneasy and decides to move on with Willow as soon as possible.

They reach their site, strike camp and are settled by their campfire when the four men show up. Their intentions toward Willow become more apparent, and Erik is calculating his chances if he needs to take on all four when one pulls a gun.

The men overpower Erik and assault Willow. When it is revealed she is a virgin, they decide Erik should take her virginity - at knife and gunpoint - after which they will all use her.

Margot Scott pulls no punches and leaves nothing to the imagination in her description of the assault and of the anguish experienced by both father and daughter, who relay their story in alternating chapters. The story deals with the assault, the victims' subsequent escape and the retribution visited on their assailants, and the rebuilding of their relationship in the aftermath.

There is a lot of sex in this story. Some of it is violent; more is non-consensual. It is all very "taboo" or "forbidden" and squirm-inducing on multiple levels.

I thought it was a great read. Uncomfortable in appropriate places. I quickly became attached to Willow and invested in her future, with which I was satisfied.

Recommended if the subject matter appeals and you have read the author's trigger warnings.

Eric and his daughter, Willow, had a yearly camping trip to bond with nature and each other. What should have been a routine tradition turned into a nightmare when they were accosted by four strangers. To survive, they are forced to face consequences neither of them was prepared for.



Eric was caring and protective, while Willow was young but still too naive for her age. I felt both of them could have done more to fight external and internal forces that would help add
intensity to the situation. The four men added action and suspense to the storyline, making it more interesting.

Could I forgive my father for hurting me if it meant saving me from an even more devastating fate or saving our lives? Could he forgive himself?

Force of Nature is a story of trauma and overcoming adversity. It would appeal to readers who enjoy dark, taboo romance.

“Was this survival mode or was I always a little bit twisted?”

Narrated in dual POV, Willow is dependent on her father for protection and Erik is always there for his daughter. Being forced into a tragic situation, Erik makes a decision that he hopes will save the both of them. As the plot progresses, the bond Willow and Erik share becomes even stronger.

Needless to say, the taboo factor is high and it is cringeworthy. Surviving is their priority and these characters quickly learn how to endure.

I loved Force of Nature so much! This story has it all, an awesome plot that sucks you in, suspense / tense situations, out of this world taboo love, and an ending that has the main characters fighting for their lives!

Highly recommend reading this story if you love taboo stories!

I loved the plot and the taboo/steamy scenes but I just wish there was more of them, and longer, especially because some of what is included is told over shown. I guess in general I wish this was a longer, full book that really went in depth in all ways, because I loved what there was so much.

Willow and her dad (Erik) are on their yearly camping trip to Yellowstone. But this trip is a little bittersweet because it's the last trip they will take before Willow leaves for college across country. She doesn't want to go that far, but her dad wants her to go so she can be more independent.

But their camping trip is ruined by a group of predatory men who target them for their corrupt games. Which ends with Willow and Erik's lives and relationship with each other forever changing.

REVIEW:

This was a pretty dark one. Definitely heed the warnings. There is no penetrative rape by the men who attack them, but they do sexually assault Willow in other ways. And they force Erik to have sex with her at gunpoint. So this one will not be for everyone.

I personally found the story gripping and exciting. It was absolutely awesome how Erik and Willow took all the guys down (especially Erik). I loved seeing them come out on top as far as that goes.

In regard to their relationship, it was well transitioned I think. But it was a little different than other taboo romances since their sexual relationship begins due to the trauma they go through together. Before the incident, they seem to have a fairly healthy and normal relationship. After that, they sort of cling to each other in a new (taboo) way. The steam between the two of them was super hot though.

I liked both of them, especially Erik. I liked how protective he is and how he steps up to the plate to get rid of the bad guys.

The story really hooked me in and I was pretty much glued to the pages until I finished it.

I think it would've been a 4 star read for me if not for the end, which I felt fizzled out a little. I didn't necessarily understand how they ended up getting into CNC (con-non-con) after what they went through. I suppose it's possible, but it felt kind of random to me and didn't flow with the rest of the story.

I did like how she decided to stay with him and they both moved somewhere they could be together. That part was nice.

Overall it was a good taboo read. On the dark side. So if you like that, then you'll probably enjoy this one. If not, then steer clear.

Lo raro es que no fue un caso mediatico y por mas que murieron 4 hombres de una manera bien fea nadie se entero de lo que paso en las aguas termales, en el bosque y en a estacion de bomberos, nadie.

I love that this author did not shy away from the taboo but emmersed you in along with societal judgements and natural aversion to incest between father and daughter.

The triggers are high but when get past the idea when introduced you see that it trauma bonding. Willow and Erik are all each other has ever has since her mother died so their aversion to the idea is natural but this was forced until it wasn't.

They clung to what the knew...each other..and created a life that noone needed to understand but them

Heed the trigger warnings, this book is definitely a little messed up but if you’re into books that push boundaries then you’ll love it.

Short read about a father/daughter duo who come across a group of miscreants who delight in raping the daughter and forcing dad to partake. How do they escape and what is their life like after? It's actually well written and has a bit of a plot that kept my interest. Obviously trigger warnings, but really well done.

Sooo no plot here it’s as expected and as described - the dark parts weren’t terrible but i did find myself hoping to get through them fast the rest is as you want and as you expect I will say no more. The writing surprisingly not bad hence the three instead of two stars . That is all 🫡
