Kendall Williams has done something truly extraordinary with THING: Between Two Worlds. This is not just a science fiction novel; it is an intellectual odyssey that dares to ask the biggest questions about existence, human nature, and destiny. The story follows the aftermath of humanity’s first contact with an alien intelligence—the Ark, a mysterious entity from interstellar space that has fundamentally changed the course of history. But where most sci-fi books might focus on the spectacle, this one goes deeper.

Williams crafts a brilliantly layered narrative, blending philosophy, theoretical physics, and gripping storytelling into something that feels both deeply personal and universally relevant. The characters—especially Jason Hall and Becky Sorensen—are richly developed, making their internal struggles as compelling as the intergalactic intrigue.

If you are looking for a book that challenges your perceptions, captivates your imagination, and refuses to let you go, this is the one. A mind-bending, emotional rollercoaster that will stay with you long after you turn the last page.

I don’t even know where to start—THING Between Two Worlds completely messed with my head in the best possible way. I’m a huge sci-fi fan, and I’ve read plenty of stories about first contact, but this book? It’s on another level.

Kendall Williams doesn’t just tell a story; he builds an entire reality that pulls you in and makes you question everything. The way he blends philosophy, time travel, artificial intelligence, and deep human struggles is nothing short of genius. I felt like I was floating between dimensions right alongside Jason Hall, caught between the human and Arkinian universes. And let me tell you—the stakes feel so real. It’s not just about aliens arriving; it’s about what that means for humanity, for destiny, for free will.

The writing? Absolutely immersive. Every page made me feel like I was being sucked further into this cosmic mystery. The themes of time, existence, and human destiny will stay with me forever. If you love books that challenge your mind while keeping you on the edge of your seat, you need to read this.

I didn’t expect to cry while reading a science fiction book, but THING Between Two Worlds hit me hard in ways I wasn’t prepared for.

Yes, it’s a story about aliens, advanced technology, and cosmic mysteries, but at its heart, it’s a deeply human story. Jason Hall’s journey isn’t just about first contact with an alien intelligence—it’s about his struggle to find meaning, love, and purpose in a world that suddenly doesn’t make sense. The relationships in this book—Jason and Becky, Jason and Arkan, the tensions between humans and the Arkinians—felt incredibly real.

I think what touched me the most was how the book explored the cost of knowledge. Imagine knowing things no one else believes. Imagine being the one person who can change history, but no one will listen. That’s the weight Jason carries, and it made me ache for him. This book made me question what I would do in his place, how I would handle knowing the fate of humanity.

If you want a book that doesn’t just entertain but moves you, this is it.

It’s not every day that you come across a book that manages to break new ground in science fiction, but Kendall Williams has done exactly that with THING: Between Two Worlds. This is more than just an alien encounter story—it’s a deeply intricate web of politics, philosophy, and human emotion.

What struck me most was how Williams creates an entire universe of ideas. The story seamlessly blends historical narratives, futuristic dilemmas, and deeply personal struggles, making it feel like you are truly living through these moments with the characters.

Jason Hall is one of the most compelling protagonists I’ve encountered in a long time—his journey is filled with pain, discovery, and profound transformation. And the way Williams tackles the philosophical implications of first contact? Utterly fascinating.

If you love stories that push the boundaries of what sci-fi can be, this book will leave you in awe. An instant classic in the making.

THING: Between Two Worlds is a rare gem in the sci-fi genre. Kendall Williams has taken the classic themes of first contact and interstellar exploration and elevated them into something entirely new and unforgettable.

The book’s philosophical depth is matched only by its thrilling, page-turning action. One moment, you’re caught in an intense political battle, and the next, you’re contemplating the very nature of existence and human consciousness. The balance between intellect and emotion, action and reflection, science and spirituality is absolutely perfect.

The writing is immersive, the characters are unforgettable, and the world-building? Jaw-dropping. This book deserves a spot among the best sci-fi novels of our time. If you want a story that will ignite your imagination and leave you forever changed, you NEED to read this book.

Rarely does a sci-fi novel come along that is both profoundly philosophical and utterly thrilling. THING: Between Two Worlds strikes this perfect balance, giving us a high-stakes narrative that is just as much about human destiny as it is about extraterrestrial encounters.

From the very first page, I was hooked. Williams has a gift for creating tension and suspense, weaving a story that feels eerily real despite its cosmic scope. The way he tackles time travel, consciousness, and even the fabric of reality itself is nothing short of breathtaking. One moment, you’re racing through political intrigue, and the next, you’re pondering the nature of the soul and human consciousness.

The writing is sharp, the pacing is perfect, and the twists? Unforgettable. This is the kind of book that makes you think, keeps you on edge, and leaves you yearning for more.

I’ve always been fascinated by existential questions—what is time? What is consciousness? Can destiny be changed?—and THING Between Two Worlds tackles all of them in the most mind-expanding way. Williams takes ancient philosophy and smashes it together with futuristic technology, creating something completely unique and thought-provoking.

Plato and Kant are literally referenced in the book, but beyond that, the way the story unfolds makes you think about what it means to be human. The Arkinians don’t just communicate with humans—they embed themselves into our very existence, forcing us to confront who we are and what we believe in.

At one point, I had to put the book down and just think. That’s how powerful it is. If you love books that make you question reality and stay with you long after you finish them, you need this one on your shelf.

Right from the start, THING Between Two Worlds grabs you and doesn’t let go. There are high-stakes political tensions, world-ending dilemmas, secret intelligence moves, and reality-bending revelations. Jason Hall is thrown into an impossible situation where everyone has an agenda, and the deeper he goes, the more tangled and dangerous everything becomes.

And let’s talk about the action—from shadowy government meetings to cosmic-scale events, every moment feels urgent. There’s a constant ticking clock, and the suspense is just perfectly executed. And the time travel elements? Brilliant. It’s done in a way that doesn’t feel like a gimmick but rather a natural part of a much bigger, mind-blowing puzzle.

If you love books where every chapter feels like a cliffhanger, trust me this one will keep you turning pages late into the night.

Kendall Williams doesn’t just create a sci-fi world—he builds an emotional journey that makes you think, reflect, and question everything.

The protagonist’s journey is filled with moments of triumph, heartbreak, and raw humanity. The way Williams explores the impact of first contact—how it affects the mind, the heart, and even the soul—is incredibly moving. I didn’t expect a sci-fi book to make me this emotional, but here we are.
