As a teen, Sun watched as the man he was madly in love with be marked with a stain no one thought he could get rid of. And once this man was gone—no matter how far or how long Sun searched, he was unsuccessful in finding him. Years later, and purely by chance, they come face to face again. Sun can’t help but push for forgiveness and maybe something a little more.
Kingston always knew his presence in Thailand was an anomaly. Over the years, he’s managed to build a little bit of a family, a rag tag bunch of souls who cares for him. Then Sun is thrusts back into his life and he finds himself slowly losing a grip on the happiness he’s found.
While he just wants to Sun to go away, he cannot ignore the dangers that lurks in the dark, determined to destroy both of them.
What started out as doing the right thing, quickly snowballs into trying to keep himself from being drawn back to a place where he desperately yearns for someone he can never have.
This is the most frustrating couple that SusuKhaa has written to date. Sun & King needed to just sit down and TALK TO EACH OTHER. They are both having important conversations with their friends and mothers, but not with each other! GRRRR!!!
Even though the miscommunication and misunderstandings were running wild; they were absolutely adorable with their pet names and when they were taking care of each other. Once they were officially together their communication greatly improved. I just wish they could have gotten their ish together earlier in the story.
As with all SusKhaa novels, the found family and friendships were top notch. The villain was more obvious in this story, but still had a satisfying end.
