The only thing Juliette can't find is the one thing she craves.
Juliette is on the verge of accepting that she'll never have a traditional family of her own when her magic upends her life once again.
As her vision for the future grows ever murkier, Juliette is forced to battle her ever-present anxiety to make the hardest decision of her life.
The wrong choice will affect more than just her, and the right choice could transform her life, she's just not sure which one is which.
Join Juliette,Harvey, and the rest of the Portney gang in Spells & Spice & Everything Nice as she once again dives into a life changing adventure like the ones she used to only find in her beloved books. Like the first two, the third instalment of the Wyrd Words & Witchcraft Paranormal Women’s Fiction series is set in the same quaint beach town as Jessica Rosenberg's delectable Baking Up a Magical Midlife series.
Jessica Rosenberg is the queen of cozy witchy #FriendshipCore fiction that makes readers feel like they're having coffee with their best friends. She lives on the foggy Central Coast of California with her two wonderful teens, two playful dogs, and a mischievous orange cat named Persimmon for obvious reasons.
When she's not weaving magical tales or getting lost in a good book, Jessica can probably be found strolling along the beach, searching for sea glass treasures even though she should probably be tidying her office.

Likes -Wishes I was apart of the Brewhaha’s -This book was going to be Meh for me but call me a softy when it comes to kids + Tybalt! 🥰
Dislikes -Juliette has always been my least favorite character, which I hate to say bc I feel like there is some major childhood trauma there. -I needed more book and pastry talk, a little less magic fingers. lol
Overall Rating This series is a continuation of the “Baking up a Magical Midlife” series in the POV of a different character. I LOOOOOVED “Baking up a magical Midlife” series so much! But the Wyrd words series isn't my favorite, because the MC, Juliette, was my least favorite character. She’s overly anxious, nervous about everything and it drives me crazy. I really did want to love her. I kind of wish it was about a different character because there were so many great ones, and if the author continues the series in a different POV I’m here for it! Still highly recommend this series, if you're looking for a feel good, magical story about delicious pastries and books!
**Side note: I really enjoyed the little bonus chapter (link at the end of the book) ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✨ (3.5) Rounded up to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love this series. However, I have seriously mixed feelings about this book. I feel like the love triangle that seemed settled in book 1 came back into play and don't love how it ended. However, I love that Juliette is changing and growing. She really had quite the arc in this book and the whole series. I also love that other characters in the series show growth and change, even if they're not front and center. I didn't like how one love story ended in this story. The fact it ended when I don't think it should have and the way it happened just... not my favorite. Knowing this was the ending to the whole series too, while the book ended well, Juliette's story just feels unfinished to me. I really don't know. It's a great series and a great book, I just want more I guess.
I loooooved this book! It has all the feels, i am sooooo happy Juliette finally got her happy ending with Tybalt and is a mom now. I can't wait to read the new series
The third and final book of Juliette's story. Her magic finds missing items and people. Thought the end would give her all she wanted, but not really, although it's a possibility. The bonus chapter also didn't give the hea. Her family and friends are great as always and that's the point at the end. Maybe in the next series set here, we'll see that she has gotten her hea. Still cozy, great read.
I took off a star for the cliffhanger introduced in the last 2 pages of the book! Authors - take note - if your book is good enough then I will read the next one. If you throw in an unnecessary cliffhanger, then I'm done!
Amazon synopsis: For months, Juliette’s new magical ability has compelled her to return lost objects to their rightful owners. The fragments of longing left in lockets, grimoires, and forgotten letters guide her to where they belong. The challenging missions are usually fulfilling, but, with her love life in tatters, Juliette’s latest assignment stings.
Between her demanding magic, her colorful friends, her rascally foster raccoon, and her thriving bookshop, Juliette’s heart and hands are full. Yet the convoluted mystery of a bedraggled teddy bear, a smudged birth certificate, and a missing witchling stirs up the deeply buried desire for a family of her own.
Despite the grief weighing her down, Juliette is drawn from the safety of her cozy bookshop and into a panic-inducing race to locate the missing child by the unexpected support from her unlikely business partner, Tybalt. There’s no telling how many people could be hurt if the witchling’s powers emerge before they arrive.
With her friends casting the perfect spells at her side, Juliette could right the ultimate wrong and possibly gain what she yearns for. But with a child’s future resting on her shaky shoulders, will her friend’s unwavering encouragement and Tybalt’s growing devotion give Juliette the strength she needs to overcome her ever-present anxiety and make the right choices for everyone involved?
Before this review sounds too harsh, I will say that I got a ton of enjoyment out of reading this book!!!! It’s just that the author’s writing has such easily fixable mistakes that I wish I could jump in the book and edit it myself. Juliette’s character- although she’s still wonderful- often has a hard time getting to the point. Sean, on the other hand, is my biggest issue with this book. The narrative acts like there is something appealing about him, but when you take even a single step back you realize that he is extremely manipulative. I do not think the book is trying to romanticize this at all, rather I wish the main character- considering her past experiences with trauma- was able to recognize this about him (I know anxiety could be blocking her from doing this, but my word this man is the worst)! Lastly, I genuinely don’t mind books with ambiguous endings. However, the way this one was written left it feeling unresolved… There just wasn’t enough falling action to wrap things up, even in an intentionally mysterious/“the story continues” kind of way. Overall, I’d say it’s an enjoyable, heartfelt read with occasionally irritating writing.
What a really great 3rd book in the Wyrd Words & Witchcraft series you just can't put down. Juliette's magic has her compelled to find missing objects and return them to their rightful owners. In this third book, she finds a teddy bear and a birth certificate at an estate sale and she is must find the owner who seems to be missing: A young witchling who will need Juliette's help. There is laughter, smiles, cheers and tears in this book that keeps you turning page after page with a surprise ending! In this book we find a Juliette who seems to actually find herself and realizes she is surrounded by people who care about her as she helps the witchling, Emma. I really love this series and want to see more of the developing characters and relationships and where Tybalt will continue to fit into Juliette's life. I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
I feel like I’ve been waiting my for this book for so long but it was definitely worth the wait! I really resonate with Juliette and the struggles she goes through with her anxiety and it’s such a joy to watch her grow and learn more about it and work on herself. In this book we really see her almost embrace her anxiety and learn to work with it. We also get to see her ask for help from her friends the brewhahas which not easy for her and by the end of the book she’s finally starting to listen to herself about what she wants and needs which made me just want to give her a big hug!
I have no idea what’s in store for Juliette, Cassie or the town of Portney but I am eager to find out more. I will eagerly read any book that Jessica Rosenberg creates, my first ever favourite author!!
Juliette and Tybalt have settled into a comfortable partnership through their online auction business. And Juliette is getting more skilled in her spirit magic. Life is opening up.
Then, Sean panics that their relationship is leaping ahead into permanence, when Juliette’s finding includes a child’s dresser. He fears she is pregnant, and that causes a secret that’s been festering to be lanced - Sean is accepted into an overseas EMT position that comes with a two year stint. He really wants to go.
But, he leaves the choice in Juliette’s hands.
Jerk.
Especially since that particular finding reveals a kidnapped child, who was never recovered. Until now.
Juliette’s magic allows her to find lost items and reunite them with their owners - actually, it compels her to do that which isn’t very comfortable. But even so, now that she’s opened her own bookshop, starting dating a wonderful man, found friends, and her pet raccoon, her life is much better than it was. But when Sean leaves for a two year stint abroad, she’s left with deep sense of grief for the family she hadn’t really dared to hope for. Then her magic prompts her to find a lost child.
I very much enjoy Rosenberg’s cozy witchy books set in a small town. This one is particularly wonderful as it’s about finding your place and your people. There’s a lot to like about these cozy contemporary books, but my favorite parts are the loving and supportive found family and (my favorite!) the sentient house.
We are back with Juliette Matthews and the Brewhahas. Juliette has tingling fingers from the beginning of this book. What will the objects lead her to this time? This book goes a little deeper than the previous books in the series. Readers will get more insight into Juliette and her many quirks. People leave and people come. Things change drastically for Juliette and she is having trouble dealing with the changes that are happening so quickly.
Don't worry all of are favorite characters are still around. A few might have a role change though. I was very excited to see another installment in this series and jumped on reading it right away. I knew it had been a while and I was afraid I would not know how to pick the storyline back up. No need to worry. Ms. Rosenberg gives readers what they need to fall back into Portney with the Brewhahas. I feel like this book had a lot more witchy things going on. Readers will definitely feel like they are getting to know all of the characters on a deeper level.
I love love love this book, I've laughed and cried to it, sometimes both at the same time, I was on the edge of my seat with everything crossed that it worked out as it should and then with a satisfied sigh, I'd finished it and was immediately waiting for the next book.
Jessica's books always make me feel better no matter what is going on in real life and I've grown to love each and every character, even the one I hated in book one. I can't wait to see what happens in the next chapter of Juliette's amazing life, but I know she'll get through it with the rest of the Portney crew. I received a free Arc copy of this book and am giving my honest opinion.
I was fortunate to receive an ARC of this book and I quickly devoured it. Juliette is such a complex and fascinating character that you never know what’s going to happen next. There are times when I want to reach through the pages and say, “You’ve got this Juliette.” This story threw a curve ball that I was not expecting and it was a good one. Found myself doing a lot of smiling as I read. It was so hard to put down. There are a couple of clues as to what may be coming next from Jessica Rosenberg if you pay attention. I’m already looking forward to the next installment.
Spells & Spice & Everything Nice is book #3 in the Wyrd Words & Witchcraft series by Jessica Rosenberg.
Wow! I never would have guessed the changes that took place in Juliette’s life. Coming upon multiple items calling to her at an estate sale led to life changing moments not just for the owner, but for Juliette as well. I liked seeing the change in her as she is really starting to realize that she isn’t alone. I can’t wait for the next book to see how things are going!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Love this story!! Such wonderfully described characters make this story unputdownable! I love that Juliette’s magic helps her find items that need to be reunited with their owners! Her searches make for very interesting mysteries. Harvey is adorable! Loved meeting the new character in Juliette’s life as well as the surprise ending! I can’t wait to see what happens next! I received a free early copy of this book and these are my personal opinions.
First off, I want to say that I loved everything about this original and magical world. Juliette is a FMC that is relatable and a joy for me to read about. I love this wonderful world and it's Characters, the good and the not so good. I recommend as a Great Read! I Love It!!! No Spoilers!!! I received an ARC and I am Leaving this Totally Honest Review because I Choose to and think that the story is Wonderful!!!
This third book has opened a lot of feelings. The questions Juliette has about her life, magic and love seem to fit everyday life. Between the laughter and tears the saying it takes a village to raise a child comes to light. Juliette’s ability to find things and return them to the owners has led her down a path she questions she is able to handle. Can’t wait to read more
Juliette's newest 'found' item doesn't involve guns, knives, or evil grimoires. Instead, this one forces Juliette to face some of her emotional trials in her past and redefine her dreams for her future. The Brewhahas and Tybalt continue to remind her that she isn't alone anymore and that the hiding she has always used as self protection is no longer necessary or even helpful.
Can this series stop getting better ?! This literally pulled me out of my reading slump. This is my comforting series to be honest. This book made me feel all type of way again, it made me cry, it made me proud of J, it gave me joy! I can’t think of a better cosy comfort series and mystery than this 😍
I read this book as I was hoping that by now she would have pulled herself together, but her anxiety was just annoying me. Then another irritating child was thrown in. Arghh. I read these books about older women so as not to have to deal with kids.
Lots of books describe the joys of parenthood leaving out the exhaustion, frustration and confusion that comes with those small people. I loved this story about the ups and downs of being a foster parent. I'm looking forward to more peeks at this family as it grows.
Everytime these books get good, all of a sudden, the book ends! You have to go to the next book in the series. I'm all for book series, but these are so short it's like you're reading a bunch of novelettes. It's annoying. Love the books otherwise.
Jessica has a way of writing that pulls you into the story and makes you want to be apart of the characters lives. The bonus chapter still leaves you wanting more! I highly recommend reading ALL of her published creations. If you are looking for adult relationships mixed with special abilities and true unwavering friendships, look no farther!
I must say this series was a very good read. The problems that Juliette comes across in the run of her Estate Sale hunting can be quite overwhelming for her and these two new ones fit that problem to a tee. I also read the Bonus Chapter and was pleased with the way it kind of filled you in to what her life would end up being like. Go grab this series you will be happy you did. Happy reading.
Another cozy book in this wonderful series! There were definitely times where it felt perilous, but the ending couldn't have been better! I love how things worked out, and I can't wait to read future books in this world!
Juliette, her friends and her lovely raccoon try to solve a mystery. This is a lovely book. Very enjoyable, fun and easy to read. I want more! I received an advance review copy for free and I’m leaving a voluntary and honest review.
This book was great. When your 5 and mom and dad died and your finding that you are special, and your magic is hurting people and you're not quit sure how to deal with it, you run. When someone is determined to love you and protect you, that is home.
I have read this series, finding each one better than its predecessor. I really love Juliette's magical talent, it's so out of the ordinary, as are the talents of the other characters in the stories. From the first paragraph to the last, the story had me hooked! I'm so happy that there will be more stories from Portney.
