Usually at any con there are a few authors promoting their book or books. Which is why I picked up this, and the companion volume this Spring. The book is a good witness to booksurge and their ability to bring forth quality vanity press. And perhaps if I liked Dungeons and Dragons I would enjoy the books themselves more? For the sad truth that is exactly what this book reads like..a transcript of an RPG with only the dice rolls removed to protect the innocent? Perhaps the second volume will be better? Perhaps. But I think I need to take a break first.
