Hiding their magic
This is an action packed adventure in a world of magic and shifters. Magic has been banned for years with shifters and those with magical abilities being hunted and killed. Killian has changed his name and gone into hiding since losing all of his family, getting manual jobs where he can, but with winter approaching he finds work at the manor house of Lord Adams. Here he sees Claire, the Lord's daughter, and is drawn to her. As they spend time together and become closer he learns she also has magic which the family keep hidden but they realise that there is more going on than magic just being forbidden in the kingdom and the lives of everyone are at stake with a war coming.
A beautifully told story from the POVs of Kilian and Claire, full of fast paced action, drama and romance.

Magical and inspiring.
I really enjoyed this author's h last book but this one is even better. The story is amazing, capturing my interest from the start and making it impossible to put the book down. The main characters, Claire a noble women with hidden magic and Killian a wolf shifter hiding his identity are courageous and determined to help all in their realm. They come together in love, genuine caring and the join with others to take down ruthless King Alder who intends to take over the realm. He uses it's citizens as experimental subjects in order to produce vampires and damphirs to wage war on the innocent people in our to expand his power and territory. Killian and Claire's love is beautiful, and passionate. What a book!

Protecting the Realm
The love between Claire and Killian is forbidden since he is a servant and she is of noble blood. However, the realm is at stake and only by working together can they save everyone even at the cost of their secrets which could change everything. This was an excellent story full of excitement.

The forbidden romance between a noble and servant is super sweet, and the fact that they are both involved with the hidden secret that they carry adds a level of drama, which will keep you hooked!.
