About the author

With a background in journalism and military research, Terence Strong wrote the manuscripts of two action adventure thrillers before WHISPER WHO DARES was snapped up by Hodder & Stoughton and became an instant bestseller in 1982.

That first authentic SAS thriller was followed by three more about different activities of the Special Air Service Regiment.

Really good classic spy thriller. Doesn't fall into the common trap of action for actions sake.

Let's be clear this is not a great book is it. Political manoeuvring regarding a democratic take over of China for hundreds of pages, then not even a particularly satisfactory or exciting conclusion.

John Dancer is the main protagonist but even then there is not enough going on to make it interesting although he does have a fairly interesting back story.

Hasnt made me want to read any others by this author.
