It's Halloween and things are going wonky as ancient ghosts are trying to warn Chantilly to save someone still alive, but who? Chantilly needs to figure it out quickly or she may lose someone close to her! I love the characters and the author truly brings them to life so that you feel like you are visiting old friends. The plot is well woven and entertaining, leaving you wanting more, more, more!!! I can't wait to see what happens in the next book!
I enjoy the Chantilly Adair books. I love the way thing are progressing. Chantilly and her friends become more dear to me with every book. Her friend, Thelma, has captured my heart so much so that I’m worried about losing her. She is an older character whose husband has passed on. One part of me wants them happy joined together again. The other part of me wants to keep her alive. In this book someone in Chantilly’s circle needs help. Because of my growing feelings for her friends this book felt a bit personal. I’m not going farther in. This is a quick book to read so spoilers are easy to accidentally write. You can read this story by itself. I would recommend reading them in order for maximum enjoyment.
Castleberry, NC. Halloween. Present day. Carolyn Ridder Aspenson’s Haunted Hooligans (Chantilly Adair Paranormal Cozy Mysteries, #3.5) is a short novella in the series that has Chantilly seeing and talking to spirits in Castleberry while she continues her job at the historical society and taking her haunted historical tours around Castleberry. The haunted historical tour following Halloween has more significance than the previous tours. As Chantilly and her assistant, Olivia Castleberry, begin the day, Chantilly is visited by a spirit who states, “There isn’t much time. To save her. You must hurry.”, and then the spirit promptly disappears, leaving Chantilly wondering to what and to whom the spirit is referring. This Halloween set story puts Chantilly and friends in a perilous position. Does Chantilly save the person in question? Will more spirits chat with Chantilly? How will Chantilly find whom she must save? A Halloween tale for anyone who has an interest in talking with those who have passed on! 5 stars.

This little Halloween novella is part of the Chantilly Adair Psychic Medium Cozy Mystery Series. Though short, it is definitely not lacking in quality and is one of the most entertaining holiday novellas I've ever read! Chantilly sees ghosts, and interacts with ghosts, ever since taking a fall and hitting her head back in book #1. Through each book in the series I've developed a fondness for the characters, and in this book Chantilly's friend and colleague is in grave danger, making this one a page turner until I've finished it kind of book. Chantilly received warnings by a couple of spirits her friend's time is running out if Chantilly doesn't save her but she has little information to go by to figure it all out! Suspense, danger, and the power of friendship fills this wonderful story, and Chantilly is able to realize her true feelings about her special ability.
This is the 4th Chantilly Adair Psychic Medium Cozy Mystery by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson. I really enjoyed reading this story that falls on Halloween. Chantilly is the Historical Society Manager in Castleberry Georgia and has been seeing ghosts since she took a tumble down a flight of stairs and got a bump on her head. Two ghosts: Nellie Clementine and Andrew Castleberry, the founder of Casteberry, decided to visit Chantilly while she is at home getting ready for the treat-or-treaters! They tell Chantilly to save "her" before it's too late. Though Chantilly has no idea who "her" is. Chantilly finally figures it our that it must be Olivia since Chantilly can't get Olivia to answer her phone! Olivia never goes anywhere without her phone. Can Chantilly save Olivia before it too late? Can she finally help Nellie Clementine have peace?
Chantilly’s 1st Halloween since she began seeing spirits proves to be an interesting one for her. She is putting together the Haunted Tour and getting some new insights from several spirits. While passing out candy to Trick-or-Treaters and trying not to eat a whole bag of Snickers bites, multiple spirits tell her she needs to help someone before it’s too late. But she doesn’t have much information to go on. Aided by her good friends, Del and Thelma, Chantilly tries to find and save their good friend Olivia before it’s too late. Kept me on the edge of my seat. I love that the spirits do their best to help and also that they give information about themselves for the tour. This is definitely a favorite series of mine.
My favorite series Chantilly Adare psychic medium cozy Mysteries Book 4... Chantilly is still seeing ghosts the afterlife is still here something she is able to see because of a fall down some steps she had a while back a gift that she doesn't mind having. When I read this author's books I feel like I'm actually in the story in the cemetery with the actual ghost behind the headstones it pulls me right in. I actually recommend this book and every book in this series to you the person reading my review I love this author's books she's one of my top favorite authors... Thank You Caroline Riddler Aspenson fabulous books keep them coming....
A short read, a novella, where the previous three books in this series were much longer. But don’t think for one moment it wasn’t a well-developed story, because it was! It was so good! Very entertaining!
This time, Chantilly gets to ‘meet’ a town celebrity. Someone - but who? - is in danger. She has to hurry, or it’ll be too late! But who? Where? What? How? There’s not a lot to go on! It’s not a whodunit, but more of a search. The ghosts play a big role and I loved that. Chantilly is really getting used to seeing ghosts. A fun story!
Haunting Hooligans is Book 4 in the Chantilly Adair Psychic Medium Cozy Mystery Series. This is a fantastic halloween novella that packs the punch of a full length book.
As we know, Chantilly sees ghosts since she fell down and banged her head. I love the characters in this series, they are so well developed.
This author writes paranormal so well that it feels like it is real.
I do love novellas! They are really one of my favorite things to read. I really enjoyed this great addition to the series and look forward to reading more of Chantilly!
Halloween comes to Castleberry, bringing ghosts seeking help for someone in danger. But, the ghosts don’t know who needs help or where they are. Chantilly and her friends set out into the night to learn what they can. This short novella packs a whole lot of story into a quick read, which requires a great deal of skill. I love these characters. Thelma is my favorite, but don’t tell the others! I received this book free and chose to make a voluntary, unbiased review.
Chantilly Adair is approached by two different ghosts telling her someone is in trouble. It winds up that Olivia, her assistant at the Heritage Society is in danger while celebrating Halloween with a friend, and she may lose her life if she's not found quickly.
This is a fun Halloween novella. Grab it to get in the mood for a little spookiness. Chantilly is approached by a spirit saying “hurry, help her” but never knows who to help where. As her day as the town historical society manager goes on, she runs into another spirit with the same message. Finally, Chantilly grabs Del and Thelma and goes off on the mad chase.
Ghosts are coming to Chantilly with a message to help someone, and quick! She isn't sure who needs help or why, but when she discovers the meaning behind the messages she is fast to do what she can to help save the person in need. This is a short but captivating read. Love the characters in these stories, so friendly and always wanting to help!
I really enjoyed Haunting Hooligans. It is a great Halloween story. This is a fun, quick read. I just love this series. Chantilly is such an interesting character. This story was interesting and kept me reading to the end.
This is a quick and fun book to read. Chantilly is back and still seeing ghosts. This time several of them are trying to help her save one of her friend's life but she needs to figure out how the two ghosts are connected.
Chantilly has another mystery to solve in order to save someone she loves, and the race against the clock is on! A fast-paced short story that does not disappoint. This is a suspenseful book that highlights the precious nature of close friendships.
Love this series. The characters and back story are great. I learn more about them with each book. This was a cute short story that can be read quickly. Looking forward to more in this series.
I loved this one. Chantilly's life is evolving and I like that. This book had more action, a little more urgency to it. I found it very satisfying to read. Highly recommended.
Chantilly is the woman that can see ghosts and Emma is one of her neighbors. Olivia is a co-worker at the town's historical society.
Chantilly can see ghosts but they don't always communicate in a clear fashion as in this case where one tells her that there's not much time to save her.
Save who? From what?
There's a car crash and one person dies.
Overall it's a pretty standard fare for this type of book and that means it's good with interesting characters.
A cute, fun and very enjoyable short story that is short and very easy to read. The characters just add another wild dimension to the storyline. Lots of chuckles and out loud laughing at the antics that were pulled off by Del & Thelma. A light easy reading experience that will leave you with a smile and a chuckle!
Enjoyable short story about Chantilly Adair being new to seeing ghosts things & the historical society manger for her small Georgia Town starts a haunted historical property tour and with Halloween coming, the new psychic medium is in for a surprise. Two ghost visit her and she doesn't understand them. This has me intrigued.
I really enjoy this series! This Halloween episode is fun , spooky and touched my heart. I always feel happy reading and this one gave me goose bumps and a happy ending smile.
A great read. One of the author's best. Okay the mystery wasn't really a mystery in the way we normally expect our cozies to be but it was a great plot of ghosts trying to help the living even though the clues they gave were more oblique then most. Halloween should be a fun time but being told that 'she' is in danger isn't much of a clue. Who is 'she' and where is the danger coming from. As she tries to sort out what she knows, get her two friends helping and enlist the ghosts to tell her who and where she becomes aware that Olivia is nowhere to be found. Will she find her? Will it be too late?
I love this Chantilly Adair Psychic Medium series. The characters are described so richly and are likable; this story was entertaining, as all of the ones in this series have been. It wasn't extremely Halloween in the setting and would be fun to read any time of the year. I don't want to give any spoilers, but this story really tugged at my heart emotionally. I love the southern setting and the colloquialisms--they're very authentic to the south. I highly recommend this series and book and everything else I've read by this author thus far.
There are ghosts coming out of the woodwork in this story. Chantilly gets a message "you hurry and save her" but didn't say who 'her' was. Chantilly thought she knew, but she found out she was wrong. It is someone that is close to Tilly that needs saving, but she can't figure out the connection with her the Castleberries? Another great cozy ghost story from Carolyn Ridder Aspenson. I enjoy this series a lot!
