Aric Sundquist is an author and editor of speculative fiction. His stories have appeared in numerous publications, including Fearful Fathoms Vol. 1, The Best of Dark Moon Digest, Night Terrors III, Evil Jester Digest Vol. 1, and Attic Toys. He is also the owner and editor of Dark Peninsula Press, an indie publishing company specializing in horror and thriller anthologies.

Like everything dark peninsula puts out this collection is a winner! Some of my favorites are "twelve miles two hours," "S.A.L.E," and "master of the house." DPP hits it out of the park again! Go read it!

Definite surreal, some kind of weird dream/“The Twilight Zone” vibes in some of these tales which was great. As with I think all “The Cellar Door” issues so far, the very first story became one of my favorites with “S.A.L.E”and the featured author’s tale “Master of the House” is definitely another. “Twelve Miles, Two Hours” and “Unwanted” to round off my top 4 picks. All the other stories were great additions to this issues theme as well though. Well done on another one DPP

Dark Highways: The Cellar Door Issue #3 is a collection of tales set on the road in one way or another where everything from your Uber driver to yard sale signs is to be feared.

When I received a review request for Dark Highways from the publisher, Aric noted, “It’s a quite different anthology than my previous ones; I think it’s a little darker in tone, and the stories are much more unusual and open to interpretation.” I was even more excited for the collection hearing that!
