I had a conversation with a stranger… so she transported me to a magical world and left me on a cliff, waiting for a werewolf to come and claim me as his mate. I'm not even sure what it means to be claimed, but it has to be better than the life I was living. When the massive werewolf finally finds me, he bites me. Then, he tells me he's never going to leave my side, no matter how many times I reject him. So, I'm in a mountain range called the Fractured Peaks, being carried toward a forest called the Broken Woods, wondering how I can convince my new mate that we'd be better off as friends. Little Red Riding Hood has nothing on me…Because this big, bad wolf has his heart set on love. *Each book in this steamy new adult fantasy romance series follows a different couple. They all have their own happily ever after, and can be read in any order
Hi, I’m Lola! I’m a book lover with a *slight* romance obsession. My books are all steamy romantic fantasy or paranormal romance, and there is always a happily ever after.

This reads like the outline of a great story. It’s mainly internal monologue and very little dialogue or plot/character development. It’s frustrating because there were so many opportunities to deepen/develop the story and instead it either tells it through internal monologue or skips it entirely with a fast forward. It makes me sad because Lola used to/can write such great and well developed characters/relationships. These last few books of hers have been flops to me. The ideas are there but they need to be worked out/developed more.
After I read the first book, I couldn't wait for this one to be published. The first was absolutely perfect, so I started this book with high expectations, and I'm grateful to say that I was not let down. This book, as hard as it is to believe, was even better than the first, and I loved it. I enjoyed reading Rory's and Rok's adventure and their mating journey. I'm also currently failing to design a single word that describes this book, because its multiple things, I mean there are a few parts in the book that are not exactly my favorite, however the amazing parts (I'm attempting to make this a non-spoiler review) overview all the negative things in this book. I loved this book, and I hope every single person who reads this review and decides to read this book enjoys it as much as I did. :) I truly recommend this book!
Part of the Claimed by the wolf series each can be read as a standalone yet connect with a certain pack and find their mate. Now with the witch cursed them to only give birth to male children thinking she would undo the curse but learned that she couldn’t feeling bad she has taken it upon herself to go to earth finding female mates to keep them from going mad due to not mating but never really explaining to them what to expect or about supernatural world. Rory has been through so much finally able to walk away from an abusive relationship but no before it took its toll on her, she had no confidence in her strengths, her abilities, and runs from any signs of controlling in anyone really. Rok sexy as all get out shifter a very patient man especially meeting his mate who has a few issues his gentleness with her never changes and through is patience he shows her that relationships without abusive is possible but will she trust him enough to see something different than what she is use to, will he continue to be patient with her is what she keeps thinking to herself, and can there be something more to them like completeness?
DNF 90% This book is pretty blah. I didn't care for either of the MCs, though Amarok can't really be faulted for anything, he was pretty decent, if boring.
Gleeful Goblin Review: I had a bit of a struggle with this story, especially at the start. For one, I feel like I would have wanted just a little more time on Earth for FMC before she's taken to Evare because it feels like we don't have much foundation for who she is before the portal and meeting MMC. That being said, there's certainly some twists on typical tropes that are fun and interesting which is always cool: "He told me why the werewolves needed mates from Earth—because Serae had cursed the wolf shifters to only have male children, assuming she could undo it, and then failed. The shifters had been dying out ever since because of some kind of insanity that came with immortality, called immis. Immis could drive them mad if they weren’t mated, and there were only fifty surviving unmated wolf shifters because of that. All of them were in his pack. He explained that mated pairs were more like friends or partners than lovers. That sex was involved much of the time, but not always. That fate sometimes decided two people just needed to be tied together as friends. That last bit of information relaxed me, unlike everything else I learned." As a monster romance fan I do love me some fated mates so seeing that concept presented as the possibility of platonic-ish was new. Definitely not going to be the case for the MCs here of course but still an interesting twist!
There's also this human side transformation I don't recall seeing before that was interesting as well: "During the next day, I noticed that my hair looked different. The blonde Allen had insisted I needed seemed to be pinkish. I thought I was going crazy at first, but resigned to ask Amarok about it when it looked darker by the time we stopped for the night. “Does my hair look pink to you?” I asked him, as he plucked massive fruit from a tree for us. We’d made it out of the Fractured Peaks and into the Broken Woods, so my back was to a thick, black tree’s trunk. “Yes. My magic has begun changing you,” he admitted. I blinked. “What?” “The way Serae explains it, humans from your world are magical… sponges.” The way he said sponges told me it wasn’t a word he used often. I wondered if he’d picked it up from one of the Earth humans, as he’d called them. “Okay,” I said, prodding him to continue. He handed me a piece of fruit, and waited until I took a bite before going on. “You soak in the magic of whichever beings you are surrounded by or connected to. So, even if our bond breaks, your body will have internalized my magic, and you will be a wolf shifter. It seems to take most of the females a month or two to shift, but in theory, they could do so much sooner.” I blinked again. And again. Part of me was scared to death by the thought of transforming into a wolf. Another part of me was thrilled, because it meant I would never be weak or powerless again. “Alright. And that’s why my hair is pink?” He nodded. “You’re in the process of transforming, and female wolf shifters aren’t like the males. Our coloring is mist and shadows; yours is bright and alive.” Well, then. “So you think it’s going to be hot pink?” I checked. He lifted a shoulder. “We won’t know until it’s finished changing.” I picked up a chunk of it and studied the color closely. The pink was definitely getting richer. “Your eyes are changing too,” he added. “They’re looking purple.”
The story is single POV from FMC and I enjoyed seeing her journey of recovery from trauma throughout this book.

Lola Glass delivers an engaging and intriguing tale filled with a unique world and a story that captivates readers' interest. The anticipation for more from this author is palpable after experiencing the compelling narrative.
The protagonist, Rory, finds herself grappling with the aftermath of enduring an abusive relationship that persisted for over a year, leaving her scarred and apprehensive about commitments, especially those entangled with the possessive nature inherent in shifter mating. Upon arriving in a new environment, she resolves not to succumb to another controlling relationship.
Enter Rok, a character whose patience becomes a guiding force in unraveling the complexities of Rory's apprehensions. His gentle approach in showcasing the differences in their potential relationship stands out amidst the turmoil. Glass skillfully navigates the delicate nuances of their interactions, showcasing Rok's understanding and respect for Rory's boundaries.
This narrative strikes a deep chord, evoking a sense of heartbreak that resonates all too realistically. Glass masterfully portrays the intricacies of trauma and the struggle for autonomy after enduring a toxic relationship. The story's portrayal of these challenging themes might hit uncomfortably close to home for some readers, offering a poignant and genuine exploration of difficult, yet crucial, subjects.
While the story delves into heartbreaking realities, it is ultimately an immersive journey that sheds light on the complexities of love, healing, and the intricacies of inter-species relationships. Glass adeptly weaves a narrative that balances the weight of emotional turmoil with glimpses of hope and resilience.
In conclusion, Lola Glass presents a thought-provoking narrative that resonates with authenticity, offering readers an engaging tale that lingers long after the final page. This story is not just an exploration of romantic dynamics but a powerful reflection on personal healing and the complexities of love in the face of adversity. Anticipation runs high for future releases from this talented author.

Lost in the Fractured Peaks is the second book in Lola Glass's Claimed by the Wolf series and this book's featured couple is Rory and Amarok. Rory was okay, a bit self-centered but not purposely. She's been through a lot I like the fact that she's self-aware of most of her faults and her issues. She needed to heal and was open to it so I cut her some slack. There was a lot of healing, overcoming fears, and learning to be free.
This only being the second couple in Evare that I've read about I can't really make this blanket statement but I'm going to anyway, the wolves of Evare are a dream. After reading about Amarok in this book and Ivaylo (the first book's love interest) they have to be. Amarok is sweet, patient, considerate and so much more, he was there for Rory in any way she needed. The way he took the time to interpret what Rory wasn't saying and reinforce the good stuff had me swooning. He had my heart so easily.
Surprisingly enough, things were a little different in this book, a lot has happened between the first book and this one. There are new characters and new situations, Saere, the witch who had casted the curse has been busy. This book was different, it was like visiting old friends and while away they've been living their lives, I liked it. It was good seeing Ezra and Ivaylo (from the first book) again. More about the wolves was revealed, the past and what they had been suffering through before the human women came. Also, the eclipse is a whole event and I don't remember that little tidbit from the first book.
Lost in the Fractured Peaks was a good read and once again Lola left us with the best epilogue. I'm still wondering if this is the same universe as her Wild Hunt series just from the wolves' perspective. Maybe I'll get that answer in the next book.
3/5 ⭐️ ISTG, if Rory mentions flags one more time…
•••
Possible Triggers - Fantasy standards (fated mates, death, injury), primal, domestic violence, depression, implied suicide
•••
Tl;Dr - The wolves need women because the witch cursed them. Why did the witch curse them? We still don’t know. She feels bad about it though, so she swoops up humans and brings them to Evare. Rory is the latest winner of this weird lottery. She was in an abusive relationship so being absconded to Evare is exactly what she needed. Upon arrival, she finds that she is mated to Amarok. He, in his infinite wolf wisdom, intuitively understands that she has TRAUMA, and gives her the space she needs to heal and thrive. He’s a good boy.
•••
The Characters - Rory: The latest of Serae’s human “rescues”? She was in an abusive relationship and had completely lost trust in herself. Rory is naturally kind, but guarded due to her traumatic past.
Amarok: A SIMP. A very respectful wolf SIMP. You say “Jump,” Amarok will build a rocket to get as high as you need him to.
•••
My Thoughts - I can always count on Lola Glass for a good time. Nothing crazy or amazing, but consistent, low angst, fantasy fun.
Amarok and Rory were enjoyable mains. Their relationship was in the “friendship stage” for most of the book, which is not what you would expect from a fated mates story. It worked because it felt natural given Rory’s past.
Rory’s backstory, while not detailed, provided a very strong foundation for her character thoughts and actions. Later in the book, we get a bit of information about Rok’s past. This is where the book was at its best, in my opinion. I wish we saw more of that.
It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. This series has two books. Each book in this fantasy romance trilogy follows a different couple with their own happily ever after, and the stories can be read in any order. This is the second and final standalone book in the Claimed By The Wolves series. This a story about a woman named Aurora (Rory) and male wolf shifter named Amarok (Rok) who is one of the betas of the pack. She had a conversation with a stranger, so she transported her to a magical world and left her on a cliff, waiting for a werewolf to come and claim her as his mate. She’s not even sure what it means to be claimed, but it has to be better than the life she was living. When the massive werewolf finally finds her, he bites her, and then he tells her that he's never going to leave her side, no matter how many times she rejects him. So, she’s in a mountain range called the Fractured Peaks, being carried toward a forest called the Broken Woods, wondering how she can convince her new mate that they’d be better off as friends. Little Red Riding Hood has nothing on her because this big, bad wolf has his heart set on love. So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. I can’t wait to read her next series (Wild Hunt). I highly recommend to everyone.
This is book two of the series, and like the first book it's of a young woman who is taken to Evare.
This story was heartbreaking and unfortunately too real for comfort.
Aurora "Rory" was not in a good place on earth and when Sarae finds her and delivers her to Evare she's more than grateful but she is not ready to trust or believe anything yet.
Amarok is completely different from what she experienced in her relationship on earth, he is patient, kind, thoughtful and truly tries to make sure that Rory is happy and taken care of.
Rory is so in her head that she doesn't even realize that she has been taking advantage of Amarok and when she is basically told that she isn't the only one who has had a rough life, she has to try and fix what she wants and needs with no clue how to really achieve it.
This is a hea book that for some may be just a little bit difficult due to the nature of Rory's story.
I know that I will be waiting for the next book in the series especially when I would love to be lost in Evare for a day, and then feel good about being able to enjoy it.
Lola Glass has done it again and I for one can't wait for her to do it again and again lol.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Rory is wanting to escape an abusive relationship when she meets Serae who tells her she can help and then takes her to Evare. Rory's told that she needs to stay where she is and the wolves will find her soon. She's stuck on the side of a mountain so can't go anywhere and waits until Amarok climbs up. He's angry she'd been hurt and promises to protect her before biting her.
Rok is one of Ivaylo's Betas in the pack and has been waiting in the woods, hoping since his Alpha found his mate, Ezra. He believes in fated mates and knows that Rory is his, that and he's decided he's hers. He now just has to be patient and wait for her to accept him, which he will do for as long as it takes; "you make the rules… I will never push you". The more time Rory spends with Rok, the safer she feels with him, but can she let her walls down?
Another fantastically heartwarming story by Lola Glass; full of deep emotion, brilliant characters with great chemistry between them, plenty of humor and spice. A lovely story based round the line "she says no, he says ok". Great for a cozy read & I would strongly recommend.

I really have enjoyed this series so far and am excited to read more! They are lighthearted reads that have cute doting MMCs to the FMCs!
It is cool to see/learn more about the world and seeing how it has progressed from the first book. I wonder if we will get more books in this exact world with different ‘species’?!
These are just fun easy reads that don’t truly have any heavy plot point or any stressful major issues. Since they are lighthearted it is nice to get right into the plot within the first chapter of the book, not any slow build up. When I read these books I can’t put them down until they are finished!
⚠️ There is mention of domestic abuse in the book, nothing detailed but just as a warning. ⚠️
I thought Rok was soo cute! He was so sweet and caring and patient with Rory. I did appreciate that because of Rory’s background she does seem to take the space to relearn herself and let Rok know that she will need time. I do think that she does kind of abuse it though and I’m glad she did have to do a little groveling. I will state that I did enjoy Ezra from the first book a lot better than Rory, especially since she didn’t always treat Rok great. BUT I am glad she turned it around and saw her errors and I loved their ending and am happy with their HEA! 💕
Rory is stuck in an abusive relationship with nowhere to go when she meets Serae who transports her to Evare and tells her that she will be found by her fated mate, who will be a wolf shifter and that he will mark her. When Amarok finds and marks her he takes her back to his pack, but Rory doesn't want anything other than friendship. Worried she might find herself in another abusive relationship and concerned about Amarok's possessiveness, she keeps her walls up. But as time passes and Amarok shows her that he will do anything for her and will never hurt her those walls start to drop. Both of them though will have to deal with the issues of their pasts to have a future together. A beautiful and heartwarming story of endurance and understanding, with lots of drama and some angst, you won't fail to be captivated by Rory and Amarok's story.

Serae is making good on her promise to the last 48 wolf shifters that she cursed by bringing them unmated females from Earth. After an emotionally abusive relationship for 3 years, nurse Aurora was ready for freedom and was calling it quits on men. The fae witch had plans for Aurora that would give her at least half of her desires…freedom. After she transports Rory to Fractured Peaks, she lets her know that a wolf will come for her to be his mate. Might as well wait for the guy, she couldn’t return to Earth, and wasn’t sure she wanted to. Amarok finds Rory and knows that she is his fated mate. The rest of the story is about two people getting to know each other, and how they convince each other that they’re meant to be together. This story is without upheavals, twists or turns…its simply calming and sweet. I have received an ARC via Booksprout and I am leaving an unbiased review voluntarily.
This is the second installment in the 'Claimed by the Wolf' series. This story follows the mate bond between Rory and Amarok. Rory is saved from an impossible situation on earth and is brought to the Lost Woods. Rory has waited patiently and faithfully for his mate, helping keep as many of his brothers sane for a very long time. It is a very sweet romance, filled with chemistry, sizzle, and a very sexy patient man. Who could want more? I really enjoyed the chemistry and emotional story between these two. I also loved how although this is the second book in the series, she is not the second female who has been brought to this work - Lola transports us further in the timeline where there is a society for the female established, it was wonderful to see what 'human' elements and traditions have been incorporated.

This was a super sweet pallet cleanser and one of my favs so far from Glass! Loved Rory and Rok and their individual stories and how they showed each other patience and understanding. Their love story was super sweet and Rok is seriously so dreamy and yummy I just want to hug him!! I liked that Rory wasn’t perfect and made some “mistakes” but was also very human in her need to heal herself and figure out who she is after leaving her Earth life. That felt more real to me than blindly trusting Rok right away simply because of magic etc. I won’t say more to avoid spoilers but this honestly could have been 5 stars if it were longer and we got more details/depth on their histories and more of their life together than just a couple pages in the epilogue! But if you like low-stakes love story, some angst, dreamy patient men, wounded but strong FMCs, and a friendship to lovers HEA than I’d say you’d enjoy this one.
Rory was a really broken women who was saved by being transported to another world. She was physically and emotionally abused by her fiance. Amarok was a strong and patient man, with his own hidden pain. This was a kind of slow burn. Really, Rory kept Amarok at arms length through most of the book. This was not the exciting nor heated story like the first one. Although it may be considered a two pov,it was more like one. There were five chapters only, including the epilogue, that gave Amarok's pov. That is a shame because it would have given the reader more insight into him and made the story better. It was also a shame how much the human women changed the way of life that the shifters had. That was a nice little surprise at the end. I would like to hear the story about the last woman that was brought there.
I really liked this book! I loved Amarok and his gentle patience and I love that Rory didn’t feel like she was being rushed to have to make any decisions while she was healing and finding herself.
It gives the same vibes as “Ice Planet Barbarians”, in that the women are taken from Earth and end up in a magical land where the males have given up hope of having a female mate due to the gender disparity, but with a werewolf/ shifter twist, rather than aliens.
I enjoyed the more “docile” possessive vibe of Amarok and appreciated that he understands that even though Rory is his mate, she is not inhibited by this possessiveness and doesn’t fit the “caveman” style alpha males that are often the love interest.
A nice comfort romance story that guarantees a happy ending in more ways than one!
So this book was fantastic because it was a slow burn shifter romance. The slow burn was due to the dark past of Aurora or Rory, the female from earth. She was in an abusive relationship and was looking for an escape. Luckily for her Serae found her and brought her to Evare where her fated mate found her. Rory has to learn to what it’s like to be free so she can start to trust herself, and then she must learn to trust her fated mate Amarok!!! Once this goal is completed the book turns super steamy and spicy and their HEA becomes their reality. I loved this book because of the issues Rory and Amarok face together and the fact they come together stronger because of it. Great book. 👍👍.

This is the story of Aurora and Amarok. Aurora lands in the fractured peaks after wishing to escape her relationship with a narcissistic boyfriend who is abusing her. Wounded and severely unsure of herself, after that abusive relationship, she needs time to find herself and learn to trust again. And Amarok, waiting hundreds of years for his mate, understands and gives her just what she needs. And lots of pleasure along the way.
Like always, the story is well written and easy to read, low angst and with nice, loveable characters. Also, with lots of hot scenes which are very detailed in their descriptions, so you can use them to get in such a mood yourself. 😉
This book is perfect for readers that prefer a docile man. I did enjoy this book more than the first book. This book makes me want to go back and reread the first book and see if I still have the same feelings I had when I first started this series. The story is well written and I was intrigued in their story. I personally do not like submissive men, but all in all, I still felt and loved Amarok. I enjoyed the back story and where Rory was when she was brought to the new land. This was a cute story and all need to read it. Lola Glass is a great writer and writes about different men's personality and I did like the new approach to a softer man!
This one frustrated me a little. In the beginning Rory was looking for red flags, which due to her past wasn’t a surprise, but she almost labelled everything Amarok said or did as a red or green flag which got old really fast, eventually she did stop, but the distance in their relationship pulled me away from enjoying the story. Once she tried to fix things it just all happened so quick and it was the end. I just needed more. In saying all that, the characters were great and I liked what the author was doing with her past and showing she could heal and grow, and Amarok was a beautiful soul who gave her room to do just that. He gave her the freedom she needed.
I really liked Amarok, he was such a good man & friend. I wish he got a better fated mate.
Rory was a selfish b***h. I understand that she was abused by her previous fiance & I can get past the not wanting a relationship. But what I don't forgive was her being the WORST friend ever. All she cared about was herself. Amarok was the best friend anyone could ever want & she couldn't even be bothered to see if he was okay. She didn't give a shit if he was suffering because she didn't even bother to see if he was suffering.
Apart from Rory, this was a good story. But she let this story down.
I think that there is something very powerful about a person who is looking for love and is willing to wait for it. They don't push but they also don't pretend that it is not what they are wanting. In this case Amarok will settle for nothing less from his mate. Aurora, or Rory, needs to find her equlibrium first before she can truly allow herself to consider being with Rok. He is possibly the exact thing she has always needed. I loved his quiet respect or Rory and her choices. He didn't hide but he will willing to take things at her pace. Just a wonderful story and I loved it.
Rory and Rok had a good story. It felt a little slow at times but overall I really enjoyed it. Rory is a woman with a history of being abused by her partner. She’s naturally very wary of men so when she gets transported and meets Rok, a huge wolf shifter, she’s understandably afraid. Rok was so understanding the whole way through, letting her set the pace. I liked the moment when she realized that she needed him and needed to be there for him too. All in all I thought this book handled trauma very well.
This book had a different twist on the others in the series I personally believe that it made it a more thoughtful and patient story. Aurora has endured heartbreak and needed more time than other to acclimatise to the new world. Amorak was the perfect person to her her as he has a caring and nurturing soul. I though that Amorak was lovely and one of the sweetest characters that Lola has ever crested. This is a lovely story about second starts and is perfect story to read in a New Year!
Tired of being in an abusive relationship, Aurora took a chance and was transported to a new world and was introduced to her fated mate. Amarok knew his mate needed time to adjust especially coming from a bad relationship. Together they forged a beautiful relationship built on trust. It wax a pretty sweet and steamy story.

Lost In The Fractured Peaks is Rory and Amarok's shifter HEA. Rory's life is her nightmare. Bad decisions and loneliness have brought her to this point. Until a woman holds her hand and she's taken to another World. A world of werewolves and mates. I LOVED it! I'm a sucker for a good shifter romance and this one was so good😍.

I loved this book. I have read it twice trying to find the words to explain what I loved about it. I am not that good with them, but here goes. I loved that Aurora and Amarok didn't give up when it would have been easy to and just move on. I liked how they both had insecurities and self reflection that helped them try to work better for each other.
