The first time my mother told me that, it didn’t resonate. I’d made it a point to always tell the story that suited me in the moment. Truth or fiction. Except… I didn’t count on the lies I told myself. Or the woman who held up the mirror so I could see them.
I'm Tristan... and I got next.
IT'S NOT FOREVER, IT'S FOR NOW is book five in the Young In Love Series, featuring the very large, very fun Young Family. If you love romance with layered characters and laugh out loud moments, snag your copy. This novel contains sex, profanity, and sensitive subjects that some may find triggering.
Born and raised in Southeast Michigan near Ann Arbor, Elle learned the importance of reading from her mother. It was also her mother who, later on in her life, gave Elle her first romance novel: Indigo by Beverly Jenkins. From that moment on, Elle became a fan of Ms. Jenkins for life and a lover of all things romance. An old journal she wrote back in college became her first book (which she still wants to publish one day).
Finally I understand Tristan better. He hasn’t been a favorite in the series. Loved his story and his behaviors make more sense to me. I’m not sure if the series is done because that cliffhanger was not cool.
A man with a body can have my attention all day long, and this cover did it for me. I am delighted Tristan's story delivered a solid addition to the Young in Love books. I am not sure how I knew, but I did not expect Tristan and Demi to be together, I did not see them fitting like interlocking pieces of a puzzle. Demi always seemed forced into his life. Oh well, any way, the way Tristan met Sasha and their years together flew by. Sometimes, I could not reconcile the time timeline. How old were Tristan and Sasha? Their kids to YA too? Other than those glitches in my head, I enjoyed seeing Tristan finally settling down with his family issues and accepting the love they always have him. Having Tristan accept Sasha as his person was a miracle. A good read... 4.75 stars!
I have been wanting Tristan’s story from the beginning. The wait was worth it. Fifteen years is a long time, but sometimes it takes that time to heal and come terms on life and what it throws our way.
I'm so in love with this series 😍 this family brings the heat amazing characters ❤️ and the chemistry 🥰🥰🥰🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾I can't wait to see what happens 😍 next loved it, loved it
I listened to the audiobook. It was good, but I did have a little problem with the male narrator. Sometimes it was hard for me to tell which character was speaking.
I would also suggest that a reader start with book 1 in order to get the full Young story. I enjoyed this book, but I think Blake's book is still my fave.
I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about Tristan after he kept stringing Demi along. This book explains how hi demons affected him which in turn and an effect on others. Even with all of that, it didn't excuse Tristan us behavior, just explained it.
Tristan and Sasha fit so well together. I liked the way he embraced and cared for her, Ashlyn, Leah, and Ola. I thought it was sad that he couldn't release his demons enough to feel part of his family, and that it took him so long to get there. It was nice when everyone started making amends.
After taking that ride with Tristan and Sasha, that ending did me in. Oh no she didn't! So I can only wonder where we go from here. I know there are at least one or two Young siblings that need a story. Guess we will just have to wait and see what happens with.that ending.
This story about Tristan and Sasha was unexpected but welcome It was great seeing Tristan find himself overcoming his demons and finding peace and live in Sasha Throughout all the previous books he was a lone wolf struggling The reason for the 4 star rating is the unfinished ending to this story I understand the weaving one story to the next but this book left too many unanswered questions and resembled a cliffhanger that was unexpected When u know there is one you go in knowing you are not going to get an end so be forewarned I love your writing Elle but this was wrong, just saying…
Elle took us on a wild ride! There was so much to this couple in this story. If you want to be able to get work done, and other things, do not open this book. I could not put it down.
Tristan was worth the wait I had already read Dukes book and forgotten how that went. so for a moment there I was still stuck on the triangle of Tristan and Demi and Sasha. I’m not gonna give any details from the story because that would totally spoil it but I cannot wait for the next installation or for Asa’s story.
What a story! I think you made an excellent choice, to pair Sasha with Tristan! Demi was right for Duke, but not for Tristan. Tristan and Sasha both have issues with their past, but they synced with each other. Tristan was a hard shell to crack, but he let Sasha in. After 15 years, they finally came to realize that they should be together. I’m dying to know what Britt found out at the end of the book! I guess I’ll just have to wait for the next book. What a cliffhanger!! Thank you Mrs. Wright!! ❤️🔥
Tristan's story was so painful, at least until he connected with Sasha.
Hurt people hurt people and I hated Tristan for hurting Demi over and over again. Yet she allowed him to. They both had something horrible in common. Both were rejected, in person, by their mothers. And their fathers weren't much better. Demi saw Tristan as her hero, when she should have run far, far away!
I loved how Sasha held Tristan accountable for his "mess". And he respected her for it.
I still don't like Tristan. I understand more about why he is the way that he is, but I don't care for him. I still think he's selfish. Plus, he and Sasha just didn't make me smile or like them as a couple. I liked Sasha...I really did. I just never rooted for this couple.
I love the Young family though, and I can't wait to read more of their stories. I'm really hoping that Bliss is up next, but I'm betting that it'll be Asa. I wonder if it'll be Asa combined with Britt since we know there's something about to pop off with her story. Hmm. Either way, they're my favorite fictional family LOL.
Tristan could not love his self because of how his mother gave him to her brother to raise, but they love him and he was harboring so much anger he could not see it. There comes Sasha and she had issues to and she knew his brother Duke so for fifteen years they had a thing going on and she was what he needed . They are together and now they find out her daughters father is alive
COME ON ELLE WRIGHT! This was such a good read and I was so very glad that Tristan finally realized he was deserving of Love and the He and his brother finally talked, along with all the other wonderful things that took place in this story and then you hit me with a cliff hanger 🤦🏽♀️ 😳
I enjoyed Sasha and Tristian’s story but obviously it’s not finished. So once again I well be anxiously waiting for the next book in the “Young in Love series ❤️
As the eldest of the Young siblings, Tristan had a pretty big role in the family but due to late discoveries, he neglected his duties and his family. Not one to stick around, Tristan burned bridges & dug a few holes, but are they unforgivable? Tristan is selfish & flawed and can easily be hated but you have to read his story to get satisfaction. This was a good read from cover to cover.
I really enjoyed this story from beginning to end. I loved reading how Tristan and Sasha’s love story developed. These two are so much alike but seemed to balance each other out and provide each other with peace and a safe space. I can’t wait to see what happens next especially with the way this story ended.
This one honestly wasn’t my favorite. I’m not a fan of Tristan and I found myself confused throughout the story. I still have lots of questions about him and Duke and Sasha. I feel like the romance between the two was underdeveloped and I would’ve like to see more without so much backstory. Still a great series overall, looking forward to the next story!
Dark, mysterious, scary, and many more adjectives to describe this book. Not sure I could say it was a love story, a mystery or just a gloomy series. Finished it but still not sure where its going. Both people have a history, both have secrets, just not sure what to rhink.
It is finally time for us to hear from Tristan Young and the “why” behind his actions. Tristan, despite being a man of few words, had a lot to say.
Tristan now is a successful P.I. I thought that was perfect for him based on his nature. He has had a couple of encounters with Sasha Williams and was drawn to her because she was bold, feisty and sexy. Sasha was attracted to Tristan and also studied him, the occupational hazard of her time working as a bartender and studying Psychology. She started out hiring Tristan, but he met other needs as well! After they connected over ten years ago, when Sasha called, Tristan answered. They were addicted to each other and became “semi-friends”. They had a lot in common with troubled pasts, being closed off and they each had a daughter they loved dearly. Could they be honest with themselves about their true feelings?
Ms. Wright pulled back the layers to let us get to know Tristan better. We also learn about Sasha’s background and support system. There was a pivotal moment where Tristan was finally the big brother that his siblings needed (instead of being the “fun-killer”). As in previous stories, there were touching scenes with Ma and Pop Young.
Ms. Wright also re-introduced a character that fans of her work remember and I look forward to this character's redemption story. I wasn’t expecting the element of intrigue and suspense, but thoroughly enjoyed that part of the story line and can’t wait to learn more. The Young in Love series gets better with each book and this is my new favorite! I highly recommend It’s Not Forever, it’s for Now.
I'm so excited about Tristan's story. It was well worth the wait. I'm also glad he got his happy ever after. And definitely happy that he repaired his relationships with his family, especially Duke. Now I guess we wait on Asa's story. I absolutely love the Young family!!!
Excellent read, I loved the characters and storyline. Tristan and Sasha both had troubled past and a lot of emotional baggage to overcome. They are a great match. This is their journey to love. It was great catching up with the Young family, as well as, characters from other books by this author. The ending was unexpected, I look forward to the next installment.
Well, I must say this book was fantastic and I enjoyed it immensely. Tristan was a determined not to love or be loved. Sasha was just what he needed and he to her. The Young Family will have you on your toes. The family unity is strong and one that everyone should have. Love this series and I can’t wait to read more!
My goodness what a beautiful way to tie it all together. I have been waiting to really see why Tristan was so wound up but I realize he took in so much that he had to let it out somehow! The ending has me shook! I need more ! And what the hell has Asa gotten himself into 😫
I did not like Tristan; he basically led two women on for over a decade. Yes they were dumb for letting him but he was terrible for doing it. I thought there was more of a connection with Demi than Sasha. It was like one minute it was Demi then it was Sasha full steam ahead. This book in the series just wasn’t for me.
I like this book because it's about family dynamics and love. There wasn't anything that I disliked. I would recommend this book to everyone who is a fan of ride or die families and the partners that love them.
So worth the wait. I think this is my favorite Young in Love story. Tristan and Sasha are perfect for each other. And that ending has me sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book!
A great story of family, trust, love and lifes up,downs and commitments. Finding someone who takes the time to understand and calls you on your stuff is premium.
Now if you’ve been following the series you expect a nice segue to the next book, but this time OMG! Tristian and Sasha need another book for themselves. Waiting and hoping for more!
wright left us hanging on the edge of a steep cliff😭😭😭😭. anyway i still loved Sasha and Tristan’s story. it was not your usual romance cutesy story but it was very entertaining and the plot twists were plot twisting!!!
This right here is by far my favorite. Tristian and Sasha are so good together although I really did believe that Demi was for him. Love the blended family and love that Sasha got to be with her family as well.
