I thought that this was an okay if undemanding light read. More of the story relates to the setup rather than the search, but the pace is okay and the story entertained me.
Nicholas Foxe and the Lost Diamonds of Brazil” is a fast-paced, smartly written adventure that pulls you in from the very first page. Jackson Coppley does a fantastic job creating a lead character who’s both brilliant and deeply human Nicholas Foxe isn’t your typical action hero; he’s a cryptologist who uses logic, intellect, and curiosity to navigate danger and deceit.
The story weaves together historical intrigue, exotic settings, and just the right touch of romance. The atmosphere of Brazil during Carnival feels alive vivid colors, pulsing energy, and shadows of mystery around every corner. The clues, codes, and twists keep you guessing, while the emotional stakes give the story surprising depth.
this was nice short adventure novel that introduced us Nicholas Foxe. It definitely reminded me of Indiana Jones and I'm excited to keep reading the rest of the series.
I'm giving this four stars because the ending felt a little rushed. but other than that it was good.
