Falling in love with a guy like this is easy. Finally meeting him is a different story in a funny, flirty, and emotional romantic comedy about celebrity, secrets, and plus-sized dreams.

Olive O’Brien is a plus-size influencer with half a million followers and big dreams. And she’s feeling the pressure to stand out while staying true to herself. To cope, Olive finds solace in an unexpected the DMs of Jasper Rafferty, the world’s hottest movie star, where she feels safe to share her hopes, fears, and secrets because it’s not like he’ll read them. Until he does. Kind of.

Career-wise, Jasper’s younger brother, Jude, is in free fall. After an interview gone wrong, Jude now has the thankless job of managing his brother’s social media accounts to help reboot his own image. Olive’s messages are unexpected, and her wit and vulnerability catch his interest. How can “Jasper” not respond? And how long can Jude keep up the ruse?

As the DMs get flirtier and more personal, the bigger question is what’ll happen when Olive finds out she’s fallen for a fraud. It might not be what either of them expects.

The DM Diaries was a fun and flirty rom-com that kept me smiling throughout listening to the audiobook. Teagan Hunter always does a great job at balancing being funny, but also putting depth and emotion into her books and as always she did it seamlessly with this one.

Jude and Olive meet for the first time twice and both times are memorable and different from what they seem. I loved both their in-person and online meeting. Their banter was fantastic and I adored them both. This book was a good time and even though this was written as a standalone, I would love a book about Jude’s brother!

This was okay, but the pacing was too slow for my liking. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind slowburn when I'm in the mood, and I've been looking for books with this pace for the past few days. But in order for the slowburn to work for me, the MCs have to give something to make it worthwhile. Like a buildup for the anticipation of when they finally become a couple.

Sure, they have chemistry, but it's not as palpable as I'd hoped it would be. Also, the fact that most of what they did was call and text because of their busy schedules wasn't doing it for me. There was more telling than showing in this story, and while I know that works for some readers, it's just not the case for me. 🤷‍♀️

Don't get me started with the two separations that happened here. Any third-act breakup is bad enough to sour my mood. But to have two?! Yeah, that's the absolute worst! I think they should be banned from any romance books; why do the MCs have to break up anyway? But whatever, I'm just being testy. 😑

I don't appreciate characters who would rather run away than deal with their problems head on. I mean, they're in their mid-twenties; why can't they freaking communicate with each other? Had they talked and made a plan instead, they wouldn't have to be miserable for two weeks. Ugh, now I'm getting annoyed again. 🤧

Anyway, it wasn't entirely bad, even though my initial reactions were rants, but there's something about the story pacing that felt too dragging. And the slowburn didn't work out for me. Also, that ending? What was that? They just got back together, and that's it??? What is this? A tribute to early 2000s rom-com movies? The ending was soooo unsatisfying! 🥴🤧

Book info:
- Celebrity x Model
- Hidden identity
- Stangers to lovers
- No cheating, OMD
- No V (both have been for a while)
- OWD (not really, he was setup for a date with another celebrity, for publicity only, and this OW caused problem for the h)
- Separation (4 days, 2 weeks)
- HFN (in a relationship)

PS. I'm never gonna read Jasper's book. Look, he's a good brother, no doubt about it. But as a romantic partner, I don't think so. He's a shameless manwh*re and is really proud of it! 🤮 Yet he is still loved as a celebrity. I think it's safe to assume he's going to be paired with Dylan, who happens to be his brother's publicist and someone who has seen his harem of women. Yeah, fxck just no! Dylan should really run away, like, far, far away from this hoe. 🤢

This book was so much fun! It had me smiling ear to ear with the adorableness. Olive and Jude have the cutest banter.
Jude was the sweetest cinnamon roll MMC ever! Olive was a fun and strong FMC. I loved the depiction of a curvy FMC being at the top of her game! She held her own ground and I loved her for it.

Both Olive and Jude had the best support system around them! Annie and even Remi were amazing. Annie is the bestest best friend you could ever have. Jasper and Cait were amazing siblings to Jude too. (I’m really hoping Jasper will get a book with a certain someone too.) They each had publicists too who were always looking out for them.
I love when a book can be entertaining without any toxic or horrible behavior by someone close to the main characters. They were all beautiful and great.

Overall, this book was a lot of fun. I truly smiled so much while reading it. It was a whirlwind of a relationship but really cute. Jude is honestly one of the sweetest MMCs I’ve ever read.
Recommended if you enjoy a celeb romance and how all the drama with fame can affect a relationship, plus some spice!

Thank you to Montlake and NetGalley for the eARC. I’m leaving this review voluntarily and all thoughts are my own.

I'm a big fan of Teagan Hunter. Her hockey romances are great, but I had forgotten how much I've enjoyed her non hockey romances.

This one is about Olive O'Brien. She's a plus-size influencer (and model!). She's got a half million followers and really tries to influence things she believes in. Olive also has a secret diary that's in the DMs of famous actor Jasper Rafferty. Which was pretty neat. I'd never heard of that before.

The problem? She wrote them and never thought anyone else would ever read them. Someone does, though, Jasper's brother Jude. And he replies.

Jude and Olive chat back and forth. There's some mistaken identity here, and you wanna get mad at Jude, but he's a really great guy. Teagan writes some very funny passages. Jude isn't a stuck-up Hollywood guy. The relationship he has with Jasper and his sister (and honestly, his whole family) is really great.

Olive is awesome, too. She stands by her convictions and is a great friend. This book doesn't fall into the trap of how some mistaken identity books go.

I really enjoyed it. I laughed a lot, and I loved the MCs relationship.

Olivia is a NYC influencer who uses Jasper’s (a famous actors) DMs as her digital journey thinking he will never see him. So when Jasper’s brother Jude stumbles on the account and starts to respond as if he were Jasper, it is only a matter of time before Olivia realizes who she is talking to.

Teagan always has a knack for banter and of course, this was done so well. I loved how close Jude was with his siblings as well as Olivia’s relationship with her roommate. The influencer angle felt realistic and complimented the celebrity component, as both MCs were used to being in the spotlight. What I did not love about this one was the third act break up situation. It seemed kind of immature from Olivia’s part just because she did not give Jude a chance to talk it out. I also thought the couple did not have date for a long time before this happened! Still, I will continue to read all of Teagan's book and am excited for the next one.

Read if you like:

This book was awesome! I loved the cute banter between Jude and Olive. The fact that they didn’t know who they were arguing with over coffee added a layer of anticipation that had me deliciously anxious how their true identity would be revealed. And holy heck! It was more than I expected.

I loved that this was a mishmash of humor, drama, and emotion with fantastic secondary characters making up this couple’s friends and family. This is a quick paced read that never slowed down, holding my attention from the first page to the last. As someone who rarely reads rom-coms, there is only one way to describe this…utterly delightful!

4⭐️ I had a really good time reading this book💫

It was refreshing and funny. I understand how Olive and Jude wanted to find someone with whom they could be real. They just wanted to let their guard down with someone who will value and love them for who they truly are. Both had worked hard and have been persistent and resilient to accomplish their goals. I love that about them. Also, I love the bonding between the Rafferty siblings and the friendship between Olive and Annie✨

What I didn’t quite like was the whole third-act breakup situation and how they managed it. In the first sign of trouble, Olive breaks up with Jude without thinking twice or without giving both the chance to talk it through and work on it as a team. But at the same time, I kind of understood why Ollie did what she did. She worked so hard to get where she is right now in her work and being with him could jeopardize all of it. Also, she was scared of her feelings towards him. On the other side, Jude also worked so hard to rebuild a career by himself. After the breakup, he left it without caring at all. It didn’t feel like him. But, at the same time, I kind of understood him. Depression hit him hard, and everyone deals with it in their own way. I was glad they had the time to think things through and that they were able to accept that they were in love.

Anyway, besides that, I really enjoyed the book. I am a clumsy person! A lot of embarrassing things happen to me because of it. The fact that Olive and Jude were just like that was something I related to a lot. It was funny.

Thank you Montlake & netgalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!

This book was cute! The first 50% had me really intrigued as to what would happen next and how the couple would progress! I loved the banter between Jude and Olive! It was so fun to read their constant back and forth, whether in person or via DMs. My only issue with this book was the third act break up. I dont particularly enjoy third act break ups to begin with but when the characters choose to flee at the first sign of trouble in the relationship, it makes me dislike it more. I understand wanting to flee because it may be easier, but communication in a relationship is so important and I feel like the third act break up could have been resolved if they would have just talked to each other in the first place. That's the only thing that stops me from giving this book 5 stars, because other than that I really enjoyed it!

This was so darn cute! Finished it in one sitting because it was that catchy!

I needed something easy to read in between all the fantasy and heavy stuff. I am so glad I picked this one out of my TBR jar.

It was the perfect cheesy romance novel. Had the meet cute, the flirting, the fluff, the “oh shit something has to go wrong” moment, and the cutest ending. The writing was easy to read and I really enjoyed the characters! I’m hoping she has another book for Jasper!

Seriously though if you want a rom com with super sweet moments and laugh out loud comedy this is for you.

2.5 stars. The premise was innovative and the protagonists’ career context was interesting to read about. Overall, though, this didn’t do it for me - it was pleasant but I wasn’t engaged in the storytelling and I became less and less invested the further in I got. The characters seemed like nice enough people but fairly two dimensional, so it was hard to feel very strongly about them or what happened to them. I did like the epistolatory element of the book but once the protagonists met in person, their ‘banter’ was often pretty dull. Also, it seemed to me as though a lot of their inner monologues in the first part of the book were whining about the publicity demands of their chosen professions. There were certainly valid points being made here, but they were made repeatedly and this repetition did get annoying and made the characters appear somewhat out of touch.

A further round of editing would have tightened up the writing and caught some errors.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC.

The DM Diaries tells the story of Olive and Jude. Olive is a plus size model and influencer with big dreams. Which cause a considerable amount of stress. She copes by sending all her dear diary thoughts to The DM of jasper Rafferty-a famous actor, thinking he will never see them anyway. Well turns out she's partially right, because it's not Jasper who finds them.. it's his brother Jude. And when messages are exchanged, a connection is felt, but it's only a matter of a time before Olive learns she's talking to a fraud.

Well, I am not sure what I can say. I just didn't like this story. Not the plot. Or the way it was told. Where was the romance? It had some playful banter near the start so I kept reading, hoping it would get better and I'm sad to say it did the opposite. Nothing drew me into this story or it's characters. I've read a handful of the author's books-this did not feel like her writing to me. I'm going to leave it at that. Just did not work for me unfortunately.

Teagan Hunter's "The DM Diaries" is an absolute delight from start to finish. As a contemporary romance and romantic comedy, it delivers on every front, combining humor, heart, and heat in a way that is both refreshing and deeply satisfying.

**Plot Overview:**
The story follows Olive O’Brien, a plus-size influencer with a substantial following and even bigger dreams. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she finds solace and excitement in the DMs of Jasper Rafferty, the world's hottest movie star. The twist? She’s actually messaging Jasper’s younger brother, Jude, who is struggling to manage his brother’s social media accounts while trying to reboot his own career. The mistaken identity trope is handled brilliantly, making every interaction between Olive and Jude (posing as Jasper) increasingly engaging and endearing.

**Characters:**
Olive is a wonderfully relatable heroine. Her insecurities, dreams, and witty personality make her a character you root for. Jude is equally compelling, with his vulnerability and dedication to helping his brother adding depth to his character. Their chemistry is undeniable, and the progression of their relationship from playful banter to heartfelt confessions is beautifully portrayed.

**Writing Style:**
Teagan Hunter’s writing is sharp and witty, with dialogue that feels natural and humorous. The pacing is perfect, and the alternating perspectives provide a comprehensive view of both Olive and Jude's thoughts and feelings, enhancing the emotional depth of the story.

**Themes:**
The book touches on themes of identity, self-acceptance, and the pressures of social media, all while maintaining a light-hearted and fun tone. The exploration of Olive’s journey to stay true to herself in a world that demands perfection is particularly poignant and inspiring.

**Conclusion:**
"The DM Diaries" is a must-read for fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. It’s a story that will make you laugh, swoon, and maybe even shed a tear. Teagan Hunter has crafted a gem of a novel that is sure to resonate with readers long after the final page.

This was a cute story. Good standard romcom; relatively low angst.

💔- third act breakup - this one was completely unnecessary and honestly didn’t make sense.
🗣️ communication - the first premise is a basic miscommunication with the MMC (Jude) pretending to be his brother, but it’s not annoying and handled well. There wasn’t any other big miscommunication.
👩🏻‍🤝‍👨🏼. Jude is a famous actor in the middle of a PR situation. He’s a nice guy and struggles with the trappings of fame. He meets Olive, a plus size model and influencer while on line for coffee. Her career is on the rise. She’s been leaving a diary of sorts in his brother’s DM’s that Jude finds and starts responding to. Neither realized that their coffee line ‘buddy’ is also the person they’re talking to online.
🫣. No OM/OW drama. He has to go on one date w female actor as a PR move, but he hates it and only kisses her on the cheek; which causes some issues later.
🌶️. Fairly mild. It starts w lots of hand holding etc and they wait a little bit to have sex.
👥. Dual POV; HEA; no epilogue

The second part of the book is them together, his movie premieres, and how they handle it when things go sideways.

What I liked:
- the banter was cute
- I liked Jude and his family
- the premise was fun and I liked that she was the one that discovered that he wasn’t his brother; it was handled better and differently than in other books.
- his nickname for her was cute - Sunshine.
- I liked this author and her writing is easy to read and not filled with unnecessary drama, generally

What I didn’t like:
- the third act break up was dumb. It made no sense for her to leave him. It would have been better for both of them to stay together thru the media frenzy
- after the breakup she showed no awareness that the incident also affected Jude and his brother. He groveled far too much for no reason.
- Jude was living a bit in his brothers shadow and also worries about being loved for himself and not his fame. I would have loved Olive to be more supportive of him and make him feel that she really loved him FOR HIM. I don’t think that came across well and affected their chemistry together.
- I wanted an epilogue

Overall, a solid good story with a bit of a different plot which was fun. With some minor changes it would have been a 5 star read.

“I’m tired of pretending. Tired of hiding. But I’m scared the real me isn’t enough.”

Booksta made me read this one! Olive O’Brien is a plus size fashion influencer. She has a small following, but big dreams. She writes messages to Jasper Rafferty about her life and thoughts. Basically, it’s her journal and because he is so famous, she never expects him to read it. After all, after tons of months of doing this, nothing has ever been read. Until Jude, the lesser famous brother, see Jasper’s DMs and answers Olive. Only, he doesn’t tell her that it’s not Jasper. But what happens when she finds out.

I’m always honest in my reviews. The first 100 pages weren’t great – it took too long to set up the premise. At that point, I was wondering why everyone gave this book such great reviews. But then on page 102-104, things changed and I fell in love with this book, and I fell in love with Jude. I laughed while reading this book, and I cried while reading this book.

I love Olive. She has so much confidence to be who she is, and doesn’t beat around the bush. She is unapologetically herself (something I wish I could be). It’s her personality that really give such great banter between her and Jude. Jude can give it back as well, but she definitely steals the scenes in terms of personality. Hunter also handled the plus sized representation well. It was mentioned in the book, but it wasn’t at the forefront and it was nice to read the FMC not have so many insecurities about her looks. Jude on the other hand is the cinnamon roll guy that I love. I wanted to be like “Pick me, choose me,” if he was real haha.

The “side” characters were also great. There was Cait, Jude and Jasper’s sister, Dylan, Jude’s publicist, and Annie, Olive’s best friend. They all added value to the plot line.

This was my first book of Hunter’s but won’t be my last.

Screaming, crying, throwing up

Honestly this book had me giddy and kicking my feet the whole way through🤣

I absolutely love the idea of this book! I really enjoyed that the mistaken identity trope didn’t go on for too long, as soon as she was suspicious she questioned it, figured out what was going on and confronted him! I loved this because then we got so much content of them once they knew who each other were!
I’m so in love with Olive and Jude! Both as their own characters and together as a couple.
Olive is such a strong & likeable FMC and Jude is so adorable and funny!

This book was exactly what I needed and I could go on and on about how much i love it!
I love all her books so much but I think this is my fave book and couple by Teagan!! She really knocked it out of the park with this one🤩

I genuinely laughed out loud throughout this whole book, especially during Daphne’s scene! She’s so cute and absolutely hilarious!

Hoping we get to see more from these characters, loved every single one!🤞🏻

This was such a fun audiobook to listen to. One brother responds to DM's in his celebrity brother's inbox and eventually falls in love with the girl. But what happens when the truth gets out? The narration of this story was fantastic. I loved that Olive, our female lead, was a curvy plus size model and even though she was used to the limelight, she didn't expect to be thrust into the tabloids the way she was. Highly recommend this book if you want something light that will put a smile on your face.

Guess who stayed up all night reading?...
.
Yes, a vice, I couldn't put it down.
.
This book people!!...this type of incredible books, impossible to put down is why I love reading
.
My last five stars, and wow it's worth every one of them.
It's been a long time since I read a star/famous romance, much less with a curvy character so well written.
.
I am also very used to reading her sport romances, of which I am a big fan.
.
Olive and Jude were perfect for each other, and the premise of it being epistolary even through dm was what first attracted me. But I couldn't put it down until I reached the end and then I was left thinking and wishing that it was the first in a series because there are so many characters that I want to continue reading.
.
Jude is an actor like his parents and grandparents before him and also like his successful brother Jasper, but after taking some time he is ready to return with the great success he has been recording for the last few months but when the first interview comes out very bad and his agent determines that he needs his brother's help to rehabilitate his image, he ends up entering his dms and is instantly brought in by the person who seems to use his brother's dms as a personal log
.
Olive O'Brien has been writing small daily entries for some time, only instead of having a notebook she sends them to an actor she admires in the hope that he will never read them. Until suddenly she gets an answer and her world turns upside down. What seems incredible turns into a small friendship but Jude doesn't know how to get out of the lie and confess that he isn't Jasper without losing her.
.
I really liked that it is located in New York, and how both characters found themselves in the middle of a city so full of people running from one side to the other, the chemistry and banter in every dialogue was exquisite, not to mention that I love the Rafferty brothers and Annie, excellent characters.
.
Another wonderful book by Teagan Hunter that I will re read soon.
.
Thanks to Teagan Hunter and Montlake for give me a copy of this beautiful book in exchange for my honest and voluntary opinion

2.5/5 spice

Teagan has become one of my favorite authors and this book is no exception! Olive and Jude have an adorable meet cute and seeing their relationship blossom over the course of the book was so great. I loved all the side characters, especially Daphne! This book has great plus size representation and the struggles that come with being a plus size woman were shown in a way that I relate to. Jude is an absolute cinnamon roll of a MC and he would do anything for Olive. Seeing Jude’s family rally around him during the third act was such a heartwarming thing. It showed that family has your back no matter what.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book so so much and am hoping there’ll be a book for Jasper and Dylan in the future.

The DM Diaries is a witty pen pal, secret identity rom-com!

Olive O'Brien, a plus-size model and Instagram influencer, never expected that sliding into Jasper Rafferty's DMs would lead to a digital connection. As Jude Rafferty takes over his brother's social media, he's intrigued by Olive's authenticity amidst Hollywood's facade. When their relationship deepens, secrets unravel.

I love a good secret pen pal trope and Teagan Hunter does it well with The DM Diaries! I loved the banter between Olive and Jude. Their DMs made me laugh out loud--from aliens to chicken puns! I also found that Teagan did a great job with body self-image and sustainability representation. I loved how true Olive stays to her mission and beliefs.

Besides Olive and Jude, the secondary characters truly made the book enjoyable. Olive's best friend is someone I'd love to have on my side and Jude's love with his siblings makes me think of my own.

This is a 4/5 recommendation for me!

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for the ARC in return for my honest opinion.

This book was a sweet, heartfelt romance that had me swooning and falling in love right along with our two quirky characters!!

Jude and Olive cross paths by chance and it ends in disaster, but unbeknownst to them, fate has more planned. When Jude comes across his brother’s Insta DM’s he can’t help but feel a connection with the beauty on the other side. A friendship quickly starts and an undeniable connection made. The only problem, she doesn’t know it’s Jude she’s talking to!

I absolutely love Jude and his crazy family. They balanced one another out and I love how they had each other’s backs. Olive, her roommate and Mrs. Hammish are a hilarious trio and I loved everything about them.

The storyline, characters and overall plot was original, and refreshing! I laughed so much and enjoyed this book. There isn’t a lot of spicy time which I didn’t mind because I love that these two were building something and you could feel they had a solid foundation.

A must read romance to warm up the spring!

I have a deep appreciation for the narrative; the protagonist is attractive, and the characters are truly remarkable. I'm enamored with the storyline, finding the main character charming and the supporting cast of characters truly compelling. The friendships depicted in the story add an extra layer of richness, making the overall experience thoroughly enjoyable. The author skillfully weaves an engaging narrative, demonstrating a mastery of storytelling and character development. The writing style is both eloquent and captivating, keeping readers hooked from start to finish. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone, as it offers a delightful blend of charm, well-crafted characters, and a narrative that is bound to leave a lasting impression.

Loved every minute of this book, I don’t think i have loved so many characters in one book, Jude and Olive there were perfect Main characters the chemistry these two had from their first meeting.

The family dynamic of the Rafferty’s with Jasper and cait and their parents 💓.

Olive best friend Annie she was what every girl needs in a best friend and i can’t not mention Mrs Hammish the next door neighbour she did make me lol.

The DM Diaries had me hooked from the start it’s a slow burn but once you’re in your in, I don’t do spoilers as the blurb of this book gives you enough.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did 4 1/2 🌟

This was a pleasant read but I didn’t really get it. I found myself struggling to finish (sitting it down and not wanting to pick it back up) and when I was reading I kept checking the percentage on my kindle to see when it was over.

I just didn’t get it. The idea had promise (I guess?) but it was a bunch of dialogue wavering on their careers. Then she decides that despite being a model trying to make it big, she can’t handle being in the spotlight?

I like this author a lot. I’ll read Jaspers story when she releases it but lordt I’m hoping it’s better than this 🤞🏻

yeahhh no. and call me immature but books where they’re an established couple by 50% are so boring. plus this third act breakup wasn’t even juicy 😴 miss teagan imma need you to stick to writing them hockey boys...AND THAT’S OKAY!

also “sunshine” as a nickname makes me eye twitch so badsjsjh like you are too grown to be saying this. be serious.

i rlly want to bump this to two stars which is my “i didn’t enjoy this BUT someone else will” pile….but i literally cannot name one thing i liked rn

Maybe don't use the DMs of a famous person as your own digital diary…

Plus-size fashion influencer Olive looks like she has it all - she's living it up in New York City, she's hit half a million followers, and she's working with brands she loves. But behind closed doors, there's worries, fears and losses she's working to overcome. And one of the coping methods she's chosen is using the DMs of Jasper Rafferty as her own personal diary. Jasper's a heart throb film star and he's never going to reply, let alone read, her messages. Until one day he does. Never in her wildest dreams did Olive expect to strike up a DM friendship, with a little flirtation, with Jasper, but here she is. Only, it's not Jasper she's talking to, it's his younger brother Jude, who has been given access to his brother's socials in order to help salvage his own image after an interview gone wrong while promoting his newest film. In a sea of fakery, Olive's messages are a raw and real connection that Jude craves. As their messages continue, it becomes harder for Jude to admit the truth about his identity, a choice that could blow up in his face if Olive ever figures out she's not actually chatting with Jasper.

A moment to celebrate that this is Teagan's first traditionally published book! I adore Teagan's books and I honestly can't believe it's taken this many releases for her to be picked up traditionally! And Olive and Jude were a fun and sweet couple to debut with - it took me back to the Texting series, which was where I first discovered Teagan's work. As always, Teagan dishes up a sweet and swoony romcom filled with humour and heart.

Secret identities and texting/DMing strangers is always a fun trope, and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to follow Olive and Jude's relationship develop through their DMs. They have fun and flirty banter while also deepening their connection as they shared their vulnerabilities with one another. Their relationship is on the slowburn side of things, but their chemistry was is evident from the get-go, especially in-person when neither realise they have actually already met IRL.

Balancing out the romance are the family and friend connections surrounding both Olive and Jude. I loved Olive's friendship with Annie, and in turn Annie's relationship with her boyfriend Remi (these two totally need their own book because they are so fun from what we got to see of their dynamic). Meanwhile it was really nice to see Jude's sibling bonds with Jasper and Cait, as well as his relationship with publicist Dylan.

As someone who devours companion novel series, I am a little bummed that there isn't going to be a follow-up with Jasper, because y'all know I'm a sucker for catching up with previous MCs as the series progresses, but I also kind of like leaving Jasper to whore around NYC, living his best Hollywood party boy lifestyle. Although, there is definitely potential of a story with Dylan…

Now, I'm not saying you can fall in love with a celebrity (or their slightly less famous sibling) by sliding into their DMs, but this book definitely tempts you into having your own DM romance with somewhat well-known person and happily ever after… But before you start your own digital diary in someone's DMs, give this beauty a read and soak up the fun and flirtiness of a romcom.

LOVED. IT!

This story had everything from strong main characters, a deceiving online relationship, banter in the coffee line and sibling antics to public humiliation and heartbreak.

I loved the back-and-forth between Jude and Olive both online and during their unknowing interactions in the coffee cart line. Jude may have come from an acting dynasty, but he is still just a goofy guy who wants his privacy in a world where his life is very public. Olive comes from nowhere, Iowa but her big dreams have led her to success in the big city. The drama when Olive realizes Jude isn’t who he says he is was perfectly written and the fall out and subsequent acceptance was amazing. When Olive’s world blows up, the way that her and Jude’s heartbreak is portrayed was perfectly written. Teagan was also able to give us a famous hero who would do anything to protect the woman he loves, and she did it while also making him humble at the same time.

All in all, Teagan nailed it with this novel. I cannot wait to see what she gives us next.

Olive is a badass model. She has excepted her self completely, and has broken into an industry where she is not the “norm”. Taking advice from her therapist, she seems sliding into a celebrities DMs it’s harmless. But what happens when she gets a response out of the blue? When the truth comes out about the identity of the person she has been chatting with, she makes the decision to jump in with both feet. Media attention is bound to cause trouble, but can olive get past it to get her happily ever after?

After a brief hiatus from the acting world to attend college, Jude has just completed a movie in which he hopes will kickstart his career. When is publicist, ask him to post online, he has no idea that he’s going to come across a beautiful, witty model, who has been sliding into his brothers DMs. Temporary insanity has him, pretending to be his brother, but when she finds out, he’s not who he says he is, everything close up in his face. Can Jude redeem himself enough to get the girl?
