"His Other Plan" is the fifth book in Rylie Dark's Jessie Reach Mystery series, and it’s a real page-turner. Jessie, an FBI Special Agent, leads her team in solving high-stakes political murders. This time, it’s a high-ranking cabinet member found dead, and the killer is leaving behind these cryptic political anagrams. It’s got all the twists and turns you’d expect from a great thriller. What I loved about it — and what others have pointed out too — is that it keeps you guessing. One reviewer even said, "I couldn’t put it down and never guessed who the murderer was!" That’s how it felt for me too. The suspense is intense, the stakes are high, and Jessie is such a strong, fascinating character. If you’re into political thrillers with intricate plots and a lot of tension, this one’s worth the read. It’ll keep you hooked until the very end.

Another great read!

I like the back and forth with the main characters and the criminal. It helps with background on them. I also like the banter with the main characters and their differences that makes them easier to work together and solve cases together. I wish that the MO of each story was different so you wouldn't know when the criminal was going to get caught. All in all a great book and I'm enjoying each one in the series. Can't wait for the next one!

This book is a good as the previous ones, the characters forming a cohesive team. The plot is not too complex, but the writing style keeps you turning the pages. Each book builds on the previous book and easy to see how the team is developing their methods that utilize their particular strengths.
