Daisy Jane is a forbidden love romance author, inspired by VC Andrews and more . When she's not penning a hot age gap novel or dreaming up steamy stories, she's enjoying the sunshine and warmth at her home in California. She enjoys reading, true crime, exercise and, of course, romance.
Lexi’s POV as a four year old made this an immediate DNF for me @ 11%. No four year old child looks at another person and thinks, “he makes my tummy twitch and my chest feel tingly.” Seek help.
This was my first book by Daisy, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, and honestly have no words to really describe it. Buuuuuttt I’m a sucker for age gaps and the forbidden, so Undeniable was right up my alley, mostly.
I go absolutely crazy for a mom’s ex boyfriend/age gap book, and this one was great! It’s different than anything I’ve read from Daisy before, but still had that taboo feeling I love to read from her. I thought it was going to be predictable but then something happened that I definitely didn’t see coming. If you love age gap, breeding kink, mom’s ex boyfriend and biker hero’s tropes then this book is for you.
100 pages left in the book and you decided to kill Ben?? The actual fuck is wrong with you? You coulda ended the book there, it was a reasonable length, but NOOO you had to go and take the character that deserves the whole world and kill him, for what?? IT ADDED NOTHING TO THE BOOK! I couldn’t even pay attention to whatever happened after because I lost all interest

Yikes. YIKES. This was...problematic to say the least. So this is my first Daisy Jane book and I signed up for an ARC based on the blurb so I knew it was going to be an age gap & mom's ex-boyfriend taboo romance. Bring it on, I love a mom's ex/ex's dad trope, I go absolutely feral for it.
BUT I was 1000% unprepared for the minor detail that had me questioning my choices. I assumed (wrongly) that Lexi would be maybe 16/17 when she first meets Callan....but oh no, I was dead wrong.
Lexi is four years old when Callan comes into her and her brother's life and he remains in their life for three more years. I'm sorry but I just cannot wrap my head around that. It gave me the biggest ick and I had to power through the rest of the book. If it was a minor detail I would have been OK with it, but honestly it just kept getting brought up in Callan's struggle to move forward with a sexual relationship with someone he knew at four years old, when he was a grown ass 23-year-old man.
Also - can I just say that Benny deserved better? I was shaking with anger when I realized what Daisy Jane was doing...absolutely not cool and did nothing to enhance the story.
This was my first Daisy 6 I was excited to try this author. I know she writes some spicy and taboo romances, but it was not what I expected. From what I heard, this book was different than her usual style. I was expecting a fun, taboo, mom's ex, age gap. I was not expecting to get so angry I almost DNF's the book at 70%.
This started out great, and it had me intrigued. It was a little weird that Callan wanted to be a father figure and helped take care of her from age 4-7, but the moment he sees her when she is 18, he wants her. I was willing to look past that because I enjoy taboo reads, but this was very instalove. They got together way too quickly, and he didn't really fight his feelings. I think this could have been better if it had been a slower burn.
Now I am going to get into my major issue with this book....

Daisy Jane may be the last remaining author with the ability to make me blush. She makes spicy romance an Olympic sport and then takes home the gold every time.
This is an age gap romance with an added taboo twist: he's her mom's ex.
I haven't read the past few books by Jane because they didn't peak my interest, but this one had me signing up so quick. And honestly? This was delicious. It hits so many kinks, so well.

Lexi and Benny meet their mom's boyfriend "Callan" when they are young, struggling and while they yearn for their mother's love, Callan is the one who tries to give that to them but isn't given the chance.
Years later, they are back in Oak Creek. Will they forget all about each other or truly get the love and happiness they missed out on?
This is my first book from Daisy Jane. I'm a sucker for age gap and bikers, sue me. Love it. Haha. But anyway, this story is going to pull you in the first chapter, I know it did for me. Going through some similar things in my life, it's tough to not receive the love you crave but when you do get it, makes it all the more worthwhile. Plus, Callan is a total book husband, you heard that right. That man is great in bed, loving, caring, give you anything you want or need, plus he's tatted and protective, sign me up pretty please! ☀️

I knew from the beginning of Undeniable that it was going to be a special book that pulled at my heart strings. Different than Daisy Jane's more recent works, Undeniable is more gritty and has a far higher level of angst due to the forbidden relationship. Daisy writes some of my favourite romantic heroes, and Callan is no exception. He's such a devoted mmc, but that word doesn't even feel adequate to describe his actions and feelings. Lexi is a strong heroine, wise beyond her years because she didn't really have a childhood, and her and Callan being drawn to each other just made sense to me. If you like spicy, emotional books with heart-wrenching twists and characters who are totally crazy for each other, then you'll definitely want to read this one.
2.25/5 I started off really enjoying this book - I love a taboo romance so nothing phased me with the tropes and triggers. I just found the plot lacking and was skimming towards the last 70% of the book.
It won't stop me from reading more Daisy Jane books in the future - The Wild One is one of my all time faves. I just think this book came at a bad time, and I was hoping for a little more.
This is one of my favourite tropes, and it’s hard to come by—so imagine my disappointment when *SPOILER* they kiss around the third time of seeing each other again. Way to completely take the slow burn and angst (which are pivotal to this trope) out of it. Then you have the MC get herself off right next to her sleeping, thirteen year old brother??? no.
Age Gap, Tab00 with a dash of the br🍞ding schmink—I’m first in line. That’s my jam, and Author Daisy Jane has got it down. However, I did not expect her to pull the heartstrings with her latest, “Undeniable.” And not just a little tug on the heartstrings, either.
Lexi and her brother Benny did not have an ideal childhood. Thankfully, their mom’s ex-boyfriend, Cal, cared for them primarily until their mother suddenly took them and left town. Cal didn’t know where to find them, and Lexi was always confused about why they left and all the horrible stories her mom told her about Cal.
When Lexi turns 18, her and her brother’s paths cross with Cal’s, only to be in a similar situation that involves her mother’s lack of parenting. And once again, Cal steps in. But this time, the feelings that Lexi had fantasized about Cal over the years come to fruition and are returned.
I loved Cal, and his relationship with Benny was so heartwarming. I loved that Lexi always put Benny first and wanted him to have a better upbringing than she did. “Undeniable” was every bit as spicy as a Daisy Jane book. Cal has a dirty mouth. Cal wants those babies. But this story just was, as Whitney Houston once said, “I get so emotional baby, everytime I think of you.”
I received a copy of this book for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.
I was sold when I saw the tropes and from the very first chapter, Daisy Jane had me hooked.
This is such a great forbidden romance with so much heart & heat. And I loved it. And the bre3ding k1nk was 🔥🥵
Lexi and Benny have never had a steady parental figure, until Callan dated their mother. He stayed for them. However one day Lexi's mom takes them away. Lexi nor Callan forgot one another. Years later Callan sees her again and despite Callan being her mother's ex, the chemistry is too hard to fight.
Lexi and Callan were simply everything together. The connection they had was beautiful and their love unconditional. Lexi is such a strong character, despite only being 4 years older than her brother Benny, she takes care of him. Always doing what is best for them. Callan wants to help and his heart is in the right place. My heart went all over the place while reading this book and despite some heartbreak, I really liked the ending.
I loved Daisy Jane's writing and I am looking forward to read more of Daisy Jane's backlog.
It was ok but it didn’t really have the chemistry I wanted reading age gap taboo romance. They hadn’t seen each other in 10 years but straight away he wanted her and would of married her then and there. I would of liked some more build up. Also it didn’t really go in the direction I thought it would, and didn’t end up being taboo at all.
POV: Dual, 1st person. SERIES or STANDALONE: Standalone. TROPES: M/F adult, age gap, taboo, mums ex, seudo father figure when FMC was younger, slight MC vibes, small town romance. SIZE: 300 (last page) Kindle pages. CHARACTERS: Callan (36) & Lexi (18).
PLOT: 3.5 📚 ROMANCE: 5 ❤️ SPICE/STEAM: 3🌶 DARKNESS/TRIGGERS: 1 😈 (parent abandonment, death of loved one)
This book had me going through an emotional rollercoaster of emotions ngl. I always look forward to the next book Daisy will write. The way she writes her characters always has me feeling every single emotion. I get attached to them and love them and then something has to go happen to them.
Lexi has grown up taking care of her younger brother Ben, since they were young. Bc of their mom being absent and not present in their lives. She ends up falling in love with Callan, who was an ex bf of her mom. He would always show up and be there for them, especially when their mom couldn't get it together. I love seeing the relationship Cal had with Ben, he really wanted the best for him. He was always looking out for the both of them.
This was my first book by Daisy but it definitely won't be my last! I went through a rollercoaster of emotions reading this book and I didn't want to put it down. BUT THAT PLOT TWIST HAD MY HEART RIPPED OUT. I absolutely lost it and I had to gather my thoughts before I continued.
In this story we meet Callan Hayes and Lexi Fischer. Callan dated Lexi's mom way back when but her mom was never around. Callan took Lexi and her brother under his wing in order to protect them. When he finally was going to step in they vanished without a trace.
But now Lexi is back in town and is all grown up. Callan can't deny the pull he has for her. Callan is a constant for Lexi and she can't help but fall into his arms when he offers her a safe haven for not only herself but her brother Benny.
This book did a good job touching on the struggles a parent with addiction can cause and I felt Daisy did a good job bringing light to those issues. My heart broke for Benny and Lexi, they were all each other had.
The only reason that this wasn't five stars for me was it felt a little strange that Callan knew Lexi since she was so young. He was almost like a father figure for her and now they are romantically involved.
But it makes sense that he was just protective for her and as time passed the feelings shifted plus this is a taboo romance! Overall, I really did enjoy the story and was glad that they both got their HEA in the end.

I promised myself this year that I'm going to dedicate my time to reading something that has substance—whether it's a closed-door or smutty story. Anything less than that needs to be skimmed and dropped. And my mind was telling me to drop this, so I did.
If you're going to ask me if the story is predatory... would you want me to lie?
And if you're going to ask me if the writing gave justice to the age-gap trope without making it predatory... again, would you want me to lie??
I love age gaps. Heck, I don't care if the fmc is 18 and the mmc is in his 50s. I would devour it as long as it is written well. But this book made me question my morals and made me ashamed of the trope that I enjoy reading.
I guess it really depends on how you perceive the story, with the mmc being the father material to two kids and being someone that he wished he had when he was younger. The idea of the story was nice if it wasn't for the writing. The mesh of past and present timelines really made this book uncomfortable to read rather than what the author wanted to convey which was to understand her characters.
This book is like a rip off of "All The Ugly and Wonderful Things" and the difference though is that, that book didn't even make me uncomfortable one bit.
Well, my first book of Daisy Jane, I love age gap and a hero who has known the heroine from her childhood, it's one of the tropes that calls to me. I love the emotional development of the relationship. This is why I chose this story, and as usual I loved it. It was definite emotional roller coaster. But yes the pain was always there. The struggle of Lexi and Ben from their childhood, Lexi being a 4yr old she raised her beautiful lil brother. Then Cal came and became their hero. But their selfish mom took the babies away from Cal, now fast forwarding to present, 18yr old Lexi comes with her brother again and they meet Cal, the same Cal, their guardian angel. I loved Lexi and Cal 's relationship 10yrs back and now! They were always meant to be with each other. That's how true soul mates are. They stay together, even though there is years apart between them but their souls' s connection never severed. Only thing I didn't like is Benny didn't get his happy ending. I cried so much! It pained me to read that part. I don't know why Author did this. I didn't like it. Benny 's death was unnecessary. Because those beautiful babies already have gone through so much. They deserved the world. Anyways, it's just a opinion of mine, and a fact that I absolutely disliked. Otherwise I enjoyed the story even though it was painful.
WOW. I finished this book two days and I am still not over it. This book was a complete ride and I am so glad that I got to experience this book blind. Which I HIGHLY recommend.
Lexi and Callan met when Callan was 23 and Lexi was 4. Callan was seeing Lexi’s mom and he only stayed in that toxic relationship for Lexi and her brother. He was willing to give up his entire life just to be there for them. Until Lexi and Ben, her brother, were abruptly taken away from Callan and he was never the same.
Now we are in the present day where Lexi is 18 and back in the same small town. And the connection that they have is completely different than it was back then. It has transformed into something absolutely beautiful and wonderful for both of them. Their connection is just amazing and electric. While this book is taboo, it didn’t feel “wrong” at all because of how strong their connection is.
Aside from Lexi and Callan’s relationship, Lexi and Ben’s relationship was so heartwarming to see. While they do have a mother, she is the worst and they had to learn to lean on each other. They were a team together and the two of them were so strong in such a bad situation.
There is so much that goes on throughout this book that I won’t spoil. And I will say once again, that it is best to go into this book completely blind. It will give you the best reading experience.
Daisy Jane has become one of my favorite authors as of late, and this book is one of my favorites of the year for sure!
Whew... Another read that has me questioning the kinds of things I am into. While age gap romances are not new to me, moms ex definitely is, but this book has solidified it on my list of favorite tropes.
Lexi, the eldest daughter to a junkie mother, has always stepped into the parental role for both herself and her younger brother, Benny. The only reprieve she's ever been granted was during the few years that Callan became a father figure while dating her mom. However, their time is cut short when Lexi's mom decides to uproot them without a word to Callan. When the trio return to town ten years later, Callan is instantly drawn to Lexi once again. This time, his feelings are accompanied by a physical attraction to the woman she has become.
I have not read any other books by this author, but if this is the kind of story I can expect then I will be diving in ASAP. I was instantly hooked. Just when you think you know where the story is going, Jane throws a curveball and turns your world upside down. That curveball destroyed me and while I HATED it, it was a bit refreshing to not have the typical HEA.
Overall, I really enjoyed this one, but definitely read TW's/tropes before deciding to jump in!
• Taboo (Moms Ex) • Age Gap (10+ years) • Biker Hero • Cinderella Vibes • Virgin Heroine • Small Town • Breeding Kink • “I’ll Heal You” • Unexpected Pregnancy
Fully captivated from the very beginning, I loved it, I'm literally searching my brain for words to describe how much I enjoyed it and none that I could think of would suffice. Callan and Lexi I adore them so much it's not even funny and being able to watch their relationship blossom and thrive over time it was a beautiful thing and I mean I do have to give Callan his flowers because that man has a heart of gold, the things he was willing to do, willing sacrifice just so Lexi and Benny would have a better life just made me love him so much more. Though the plot twist ripped my heart out chest and then stomped on it I'm still not over it by the way it truly was an amazing read.
This author is a first for me. However, the genre is not.
Callan and Lexi were drawn together. It made sense to them. As you read through there story you can see how devoted Callan was, however his actions and feelings quantify what she means to him, a man that is not only loving and caring, protective, but will go to lengths to give his girl whatever she wants, yet Lexi showed us how strong she was, not having the childhood she deserved, you can see how wise she is, putting the needs of her brother Benny, before her own.
If MC, age-gap, spice, kinks, taboo, forbidden, and ex-boyfriend vibes are your jam, then this story is right up your alley. This book has all the feels, from gritty to high level angst, emotional and heart wrenching twists, with characters who are crazy in love with each other, and this, this is what will make you want more.
Highly recommend both the author and the book.
I received an ARC. Therefore, I'm voluntarily submitting a review.
2.5⭐️ I love a good Mom’s ex boyfriend, age gap (this one is 18 years) but this one was higher on the taboo side. Him knowing her since she was 4 was odd even though they had been apart for 10 years. It felt very instalove which is good when done right. This story not so much. The climax of this story is what brought my rating down. It should have been her mom not Benny in my opinion. I felt like that part didn’t add at all to the story. In fact I think it would have been better to make that the reason for them to move. I really hated the Mom!
3⭐️ I enjoyed this book. It was definitely an emotional story.
Callen is trying to do something good and help Lexi’s and Benny’s party hardy mom raise the two of them for the short time he is with her, but when she disappears with the kids because she jumps from on place to the next and one job tot he next… he can’t find them- 10 years later they are back and grown- and the story goes from there.
There are some really heartbreaking moments that wreaked me! 💔
Daisy had me absolutely hooked on this book within the first chapter. The bond that Benny, Lexi & Callan share is remarkable. Lexi is such a strong FMC who supports her brother Benny through all their troubles. Callan the soft hearted MC Biker had me drooling the whole time. Daisy has outdone herself yet again!
This was my first ever Daisy Jane book and I was not disappointed at all! I love a good age gap taboo romance so this was perfect for me. I also love a filthy mouth man and Cal definitely had a great one.
This was my first book by Daisy Jane and it won’t be my last! It had lots of my favourite tropes and I ate this upppp! This was way more emotional then I thought it would be; Callan and Lexi had such a beautiful connection but man that twist really shocked me! Such a wonderful book!
