Not a genre I can cope with.
For me books of the supernatural work if only one element has exceptional powers. The Invisible Man lived in a natural world as did Spiderman. With Tolkien not everyone had super powers and some of environment was natural. (OK the trees could walk).
In this book however everything is super natural. There is nothing you can relate to.
Perhaps an index of characters and places would help.
I am sure it is a book that avid gamers would enjoy.
