Way more than just a Masked Man romance! Suspense and spice overload! A Must Read!
This book has so many things happening that it just keeps you glued to the pages needing to know what will happen next. Remember if you have any sensitivities check TW beforehand.
Luca and Kiera have an undeniable chemistry that keeps you rooting for them as the story progresses. I mean the spicy moments are chef kisses but the emotions these two evoke are on a whole other level. With traumatic pasts that bond them more than they knew keeps you highly invested in their relationship.
There are suspenseful moments mixed with a few dark humor moments courtesy of the amazing side characters. Hello Zayne, Jaxson, and Mia who help elevate the darker moments.
All I can say is if you need a book that brings all the feels this is it! Masked man, J/P H, trauma bond, spice overload, dark humor, feisty h, and a mystery that brings twists and turns this has it tenfold. If you love dark romance/suspense this is a Must Read! This author brings it all and then some. She is a one-click for me!!

I absolutely devoured this book. It has everything that you could want. All the suspense, the romance, the vengeance, the dark, and the light. The friendships, the love, the heartache, the loss, the happy, and the sad. You feel it all in this book. It keeps you guessing and wanting to know more with every page you turn.

Luca and kieras 2nd chance is the perfect addition to this revenge story ❤️ all the chemistry, mystery and spice! For anyone wanting a good plot with their spice, this is for you.

First time reading from the author, and it was quite good.
The blurb was very intriguing complete with the triggers warning. Definitely a dark romance fav kinda triggers.
The three first chapter was intense. Fast pace and bloody. Although there were a point in a particular scene that made my brow goes up.
Then the stalker started. It was sexy in twisted dark kinda way that only dark romance book can do it. I mean, hello, scary strange dude following you everywhere? if he's not hot i wont wait another second to call the cop on him... Lol
But, once again, there's a tiny blip scene that just "huh, that just doesnt do it for me... "🤔 i mean, he can see her nips got hard from across the room? Or was it far outside a room?
At this stage the lust takes over. I don't mind the segs. The more details the better. But, when i expect balance between the revenge and the smut/romance.
Keira seems so willing to go head first with Mr. Scary mask man without any question ask. She just trust him completely just because he makes her feel safe? A stranger wearing mask?
Weird, but okay. Move along.
But then i got few things that bugs me.
1. Why Luca's POV dont talk about his finding on both him and his father tragedy? I mean, i love a good crime romance. Would love to research and find the truth with the charachter. Not just handed to you at the later like a good little reader.
2. When i thought i can take Keira "weirdeness" over trusting this mask man so easy, she got to have her "run for her life cause she doesnt trust him" act literary after she told her bestie how she trust him completely? Eh, dude... Just... I'm speechless with this unnecessary scene.
3. I really wish Keira's paperwork on the tragedy could be publish. They may have their closure and revenge but that public knowledge? Oh that sweeter.
Overall, great idea but the execution need more tighter plot. Need more balance between the smut and the dark side. Good segs scene specially the final. It was the dark level i've been searching from the start. Need more mature in the main charachters.
I mean, trust should be solid before you give your self to someone. Not say trust then run to the other side only to enjoy getting chased. That's childish. And Luca... He need more tact. That last capture? It was succes only by luck cavaleri came.

A masked man with vengeance on his mind, distracted by a blast from his past and a woman he could never forget. Now, I like to think of myself as a visual person and this amazing novel played out in my mind as if it was on the silver screen. It was so easy to see it all playing out. The tragedy that sparked this whole mess, the intense connection between Luca and Kiera and the terrible vengeance wrought on those who had thought they could get away scot-free. I love vengeance stories because, let’s be honest, most of us have probably wanted revenge for a thing or two. Of course, it wouldn’t have been as harsh as Luca, but you couldn’t help but cheer him along as he took down his enemies one by one. Kiera was an enigmatic character and it wasn’t until the latter parts of the book that I started to root for her as well. While both characters had suffered unimaginable hardships, the passion and comfort they found in each other was a blessed relief from some of the more violent scenes in this story. Although the villains of the piece don’t get much coverage, there was more than enough to make you hate their guts, which will help you stomach their sticky end.

This was a revenge plot second-chance masked stalker romance with a Freddy Krueger theme. I really enjoyed the idea behind the plot of this book, but it was only in the last third of the book that things picked up, with the book being so sex heavy in the first 2/3. I feel that there were missed opportunities that could have been used to further the plot that the author did not take advantage of in the sex-heavy beginnings of this book. Suspense could have definitely been built up along the way despite the sex. The sex was relatively vanilla, however, the last time the protagonists had sex was very interesting and in interesting circumstances.
I think the book would have been a lot more interesting if there had been at least some ambivalence by Kiera about her stalker. At least a little fear mixed in with the desire. It was insta-lust and almost insta-love even before she knew who her stalker was. And later on, she easily reconciles how violent the stalker is in his revenge plot because she loves him. There were no mixed feelings at all, just love. It could have also been a little more interesting if there was a build-up in the intensity of the stalking before there were feelings involved.
Overall, I think this book could be really good with less sex and feelings- I love sex in books but it really did impede this story.

This a very dark horror romance. I would say it draws a lot of parallels to Nightmare on Elm Street and Freddy Krueger. Keira is obsessed with Freddy Krueger and horror movies, first off. Secondly, Luca bears a resemblance to Freddy Krueger because he survived a fire from 8 years prior. Luca has come back to get revenge for himself and his father. It happens that Keira's father knows why the tragedy that befell Luca and his father happened. Luca teases Keira along the way but she doesn't know it him for a good portion of the novel. Luca wears a mask and doesn't speak. Will Luca get his revenge and all the answers he needs? How will Keira feel if she finds out her masked stalker is Luca? If you enjoy horror movies or novels, give this book a try. There are a lot of trigger warnings and dark themes so just check the book.

The steam in this book. The Spice is top shelf writing. The characters are compelling, the storyline page turning and the action was something I couldn’t put it down; couldn’t walk away from. Readers should definitely mind their TWs and read responsibly. And if this is the type of book you like? I think you’ll love this one.
In fiction, I can’t pass by stalker, masked and chase romances. IN FICTION. I gobble them up and I look forward to October every year, for the leaves, the smell … and the spike in books releasing that fit my tastes and the season. This was the perfect storm of 1) that cover stopped the scrolling, b) Masked Man you say? And 3) did that just say Beauty and Beast? Why yes. Yes it did.

It's a second chance romance with a mystery and suspense plot woven in. It's best to go in blind.
If you have any sensitivities or triggers, it's best to read those before you start. This is so fun, suspenseful and enjoyable but it's not light and fluffy so be kind to yourself.

Luca and Keira are former friends from opposite sides of the tracks. Luca's family weren't as powerful as Keira's and so Keira's friendship with Luca never went anywhere. Then he tragically died in a fire, apparently, only to return 8 years later to stalk Keira, unaware that she always held a candle for him. As he takes his revenge on those people who targeted his family, he reunites with Keira and the story is like a modern-day Romeo and Juliet, but with stalker themes, lol. The way the author created her characters was wonderful, the story was great and the spice was good too. Highly recommend, I loved it!.

Okay. This book was GOOD. I wanted a masked man romance, and I got one. Oh, by the way...it was also a disfigured hero/beauty and the beast, all grown up, anti-hero, friends to lovers, stalker, the one that got away romance. You want good tropes? This book has all of them. And it's so well-executed. The story is an amazing revenge tale with an equally stunning dark romance.
If you are into stalker romances, masked man romances, or dark romances in general, oh, this is a can't miss. I picked this one up on a whim from KU without any previous experience with this author, but I am extremely pleased. It was well-written, suspenseful, and super sexy--just what I wanted when I was searching. Great work!

I loved the story
For the spice lovers, this book is full of spicy scenes! But the story behind it is even better. I love the idea, a kind of Nightmare on Elm twist. Maybe that's why I love it so much because that was my favorite scary movie growing up, but the story sold it.
I love Luca he's just amazing in every way. You'll fall in love with him too!
This lost a star for me because of one spicy scene. It wasn't my cup of tea just because of one person. I don't feel like she could have done these things in his presence, but that's just me.
Everything else was fantastic 😍 highly recommend for those who love revenge, touch her and 💀, masked men, stalking, rough spice, and a HEA.

Another great dark & twisted lovestory from Jennifer Rose! The story is also unexpectedly about two people who are unsure that their outside appearance is desireable, but come to find that it's what is on the inside that makes them beautiful to each other. It's a story about long lost love found again, as well as the vengeance for being wronged. Jennifer Rose is quickly solidifying her place as a queen of dark romance! With the twisted ideas she's coming up with, I'd be worried to get on her bad side lol!

Wow! Just. Wow. This was perfect. Perfectly steamy. Perfectly gory. Perfectly dark. Luca is hellbent on revenge and with good reason. Devil's Den is full of corruption. And Keira's dad sits on the throne. This is the second book I've read from Jennifer and I am in love with her writing. I could not put this down. And the ending? It was perfect too.

It’s dark, it’s steamy and rollercoaster of emotions and drama.
The beginning is hard to swallow if your imagination runs wild but getting into the secrets brings even more disturbing moments.
But.. character are well developed and their own story is something that almost you forget the darkness that brought them together.
You definitely will not forget this story.

I don’t know what it is with me but i absolutely love the stalker type men in these books (but if it happened in real life…. Jail.) I love the way the characters were portrayed in this book!! I will definitely be re reading!!.

Man this just made me cry through almost all the story. Luca this man withstood so much and the way the story is so well written you can just feel Luca and Keira pain of the lost years they were apart. and see that even with all the injustices this two have to endure they had their love and were able to find their happy ever after through all of the ashes

Lucas revenge for what happened to him and his father 8 years ago are coming to fruition but when Kira comes back into the mix he turns masked stalker, but can he have revenge and second chance? Well written steamy dark, engaging stalker, killer romance that will have you hooked!.

The second chance romance angle here was so sweet! MMC was growly and alpha but completely in love with the fmc. The drama surrounding the mystery was also great. Looking forward to reading the other characters!.

I do love a dark and twisted love story. There are tiggers you might need to check if you don't like the darkest of the dark and twisted type of stories. For me, this is amongst the good ones at the top of the pile.

Amazing!!
This is the best masked man very dark romance I have read. I love it and I hope there's more. Its not typical of a,stalker book. There's a reason for him stalking her. It's emotional and full of mystery, madness and revenge. It's also got the spice level that we all crave! The heat between these two is off the charts! It's very well written and I will read it again!

Holy Hotness this book is absolutely delicious! I love a good dark stalker book and this one is perfection. I highly recommend it!.

I absolutely loved this book and I cant wait to start reading the authors other books. It was captivating, intriguing. It pulled me in for sure, sometimes I find it hard but not with this book. The plot was awesome, the spice was freaking HOT! Definitely recommend!

Buried Secrets kept me hooked from the first chapter. The suspense was tight, the pacing spot-on, and the twists? Didn’t see 'em coming. Jennifer Rose clearly knows how to weave tension into every page. Can’t wait to check out more of her work!"
