Why did it take so long for me to start reading this book?
First and foremost.Ladies and gentleman, I present you Domenico, my sexual fantasy and future husband:
Yeah,I know. Damn hot.
Be prepared though. He's just like your good ol' main male character. What do I mean by that? Well, he's a jerk. His attitude throughout the whole book screams
He treated Misty like some kind of toy that he could manipulate and play with whenever he felt convenient to do so. That's just plain wrong. Don't get me wrong, Misty was a pain in the ass most of the time, and I do agree with some of the things he did, but what he did in the end...That was beyond everything.
After all that italian hotness A.K.A. natural panty creamer,we've got Misty:

Most of the time I wanted to slap her and do a favor to society already.
She was so incredibly annoying. I only started to like her in the last chapter when she finally pulled up her big girls panties. She was so compliant with everything Domenico said, like puhlease.He may be hot and all that, but there's a limit that you shouldn't let him cross...Well I guess that in the end,she got that.In.The.Fucking.End. But whatever, who's paying attention (me, and all the other people who read this book) :)
And the sex...The sex.The.Sex.
Well, it may not seem like it in the beginning but this is actually a great book. I loved it.
Warning:The end.Oh my God, I've got to have the next book of this series ASAP!!! I'm dying to know what will happen next!

I can't even express how much I really truly hated this book. Domenico decides he is going to marry a chick who works for him named Misty, has he ever met her, no! But he has done a thorough stalker background check and because she was interested in paranormal stuff when she was a kid he knows she will take it well that he is a werewolf, plus he is trying to get back at his father for something he said out of anger a billion years ago.
Misty the heroine is very weak willed, she lets everyone walk all over her and she cries all the freakn time.
There is some half assed plot about war and werewolves being assassinated, then all the sudden fairies and vampires are now in the mix but it's toward the end and it's not really explained all that much. The worst part is there is a huge flippin cliffhanger
Since I am a glutton for punishment and I can't leave shit unresolved like it is, I got to put on my big girl panties, grab the vodka and read the next book.

I have a special loathing for this book. I wanted to DNF it at several points and only the unavoidable lack of ANYTHING else to read made me finish it. At no point was I able to immerse myself in it as it was either ridiculous, cliché or just dumb far too often.
This book was originally just a short story called “The Werewolf Prince Commands”, and if the author hadn’t told you at the start it wouldn’t be noticeable. Except for the sudden appearance of a dear diary entry at the start of every chapter. If you wanted to do that you could have added it in, as it is a new book it’s okay to re-edit old stuff.
So really, the best parts of this book are the cover and the summary. We get absolutely no explanation of my Domenico must have Misty as his bride except for something to do with reports on his employees which are most likely illegal and somehow manage to contain information that they really shouldn’t. Like Misty likes to run to clear her head (forgetting that she actually think/says she doesn’t run) and information about her foster mother and her’s thoughts. No PI can read thoughts.
So we start off by learning Misty is an unpaid intern. The grammar nazi of the summary? She’s a proofreader and copyeditor for crying out loud, which mysteriously makes everyone except the clueless superviser loathe her with the passion that is usually reserved for actual nazi’s. Which considering our only example of their work includes Fourteen being mispelled might be fair, I mean if anyone found out there are people that stupid working in the company they might be firing him. Misty goes to the library to eat and read because she’s perfect. Except Janice, someone who Misty works for is there giving a married man who also works for Moretti a blowjob. Oh, shit. I just realised except for the fact that William Grant is repulsive as a character this is eerily like Marked by PC Cast.
So instead of telling someone that Janice is using her work hours for very personal time Misty lets herself be intimidated into dropping it. Then she’s called up to Domenico’s office to get proposed to, except hilariously (it’s really not) she thinks Janice has gotten her fired. Which panics our poor Orphan Misty (yeah she’s an orphan and it’s tragically badly written and cliche at the same time) who needs the money from this job as her foster mother keeps adopting kids and refuses to do any work. Brangelina is actually name-dropped over this. Now this is the first of many times Misty forgets that she is actually an unpaid intern.
Domenico just flippin’ turns into a wolf in front of Misty without warning her, because the mysterious report told him she was open to the supernatural in another example of some telepathic PI’s which would be a way more interesting story. Misty because as a kid she liked the supernatural stuff just accepts the who werewolf thing. Oh and the proposition? Sooo obvious, I mean even a Harlequin Desire novel would blush at it. Misty like a dumbass despite her money troubles, refuses his money and offer to make the sham marriage appear to be a love match demands that he convince everyone he’s sexually attracted to her.
After a couple days at work, one after her job was given to William Grant’s wife to stop Janice being a bitch, the author clearly ran out ideas and dumps Misty in theLycan, Lyccan, Lycan world. Yeah I don’t know if these Lycans are supposed to have a double c or not as it changes for absolutely no reason. Instead of being made an assistant she’s made a mail-room clerk. And doesn’t do anything about it, or the fact Domenico’s made it look like she’s a mistress not a fiancé. Until a hot young werewolf finds her on the roof (that she took the stairs to despite it being a 30-floor building and that she’s wearing three inch heels) and falls in lust with her. Yeah, all the women basically hate Misty because the plot says so here too, and all the men want her.
Renewed on her second day as a mail girl Misty manages to befriend to women, the only nice women in the story not a part of her or Domenico’s family. And surprise! When Domenico’s dick move happens and Misty’s at risk of being killed both those women turn out to be werewolf princesses who love her because she gave them pagetime. Also Domenico refuses to help Misty because of politics, and this is after he fell in “love” with her.
Then more boring stuff happens, Misty is awesome, Domenico is “hot and brooding” or what the author thinks is hot and broody. Some werewolf prince faked his death to become a faerie with his partner. No shit, a gay guy turned into a literal faerie and faked his death. Now even if that’s not homophobic and I’m certainly not the right person to tell, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
I loathe this because there are endless continuity errors that any decent friend or beta reader would have pointed out to Ms Tee. Misty uses made up swear words for no reason because she changes her mind later and actually uses cuss words. And unlike a fake cuss like fudge or frack, she says “shick” I kid you not. Plot threads are picked up and dropped for no reason. The story is clichéd badly, cliché’s can be great you can read a clichéd story and still enjoy it, but this is badly written and uses bad cliché’s. All the characters are cardboard cut-outs even Domenico and Misty. Oh and the diary entries that appear in “part two” when the new material appears? In the first Misty refers to her Diary as Di. All of them are just an excuse to show that Misty’s horny as hell and hot for Domenico and they are awkwardly written and uncomfortable to read. People don’t even think that way.
Dammit Domenico was supposed to be so sexy that a he had to get a restraining order on a supermodel. He was an ass and I would call him ugly on the inside if that wouldn't imply both that he has an inside and that he belongs on par with Lothaire. I was at my brother’s Christmas concert and this was the more boring thing.
This is also supposed to be the first in the “Moretti Werewolf” series. My advice: Run, far, far away from this book.

Unless you want him too, *wink*
Enter a paranormal world where nothing is as it seems. Domenico needed a wife, one who would fit the part of a Princess and as the ultimate pawn in his plan, there is a war coming and he needs to unite the Lycan’s to fight together. Misty is a quiet meek woman who has it in her to believe in the unbelievable and see the good where others seem to go blind. She has a quiet strength about her that adds to her innocence and is the only one who can defrost his heart.
Misty doesn’t try and change who she is and never truly understanding the power she has to enchant all around her but her innocence is her undoing, blindly trusting those around her leads to heartbreak. But how could someone who loves you humiliate you all for the sake of a master plan?
The Werewolf Prince was an easy HOT read that never slowed down, it was fast paced but not to the point of rushing but sometime lacking details where you want it. Everything is addressed just not expressed. Why I didn’t know there was a second part to this book is beyond me, I got to the end and just sat staring at my kindle but luckily I got my butt to move and bought the second book and jumped right in.

5 Wolfish Stars!
I needed something different, so I decided to read PNR since the last time I read it was ages ago. This book was a re-read for me, and I still give it five stars, just as I did the first time. I loved it.
I'm not going to tell you what this story is about because it will ruin it for the readers, and besides, the blurb pretty much tells you everything you need to know. But I will tell you my overall feelings about this book.
First, I loved that it has a fantastic flow; nothing is dragged out. You get lost in the book, in their world. It kept me engaged the whole time. It grabbed my attention, and I wouldn't let it go. The author hit the nail on the head with romance, drama, action, suspense, steam, and love.
Second, the characters. I enjoyed both Misty and Domenico's characters. Misty is an endearing heroine. She's sweet, naive, caring, and lovable. She's funny too! Her inner monologue was hilarious to me! I also appreciated the fact that she isn't described as thin.
Third, the chemistry between them was explosive.
Overall, The Werewolf Prince was a sexy, entertaining and a lot of fun read. And if you like shifters, with an endearing heroine and amazing hot sexy alpha, fantastic sex, and a great story. Read this!
And the ending? Oh my! I need to read the next book ASAP!

Everything that comes out in his mouth was like s-e-x I mean, that's what it feels like as if he's giving you an orgasm every time he talks. He will make your panties dr,op ladies...

Third, the chemistry between them was explosive.
He's looking at me like he wants to devour me, and the sexual tension emanating from him – from me, from us is palpable.The sexual tension is high, and the non-sex scenes are some of the hottest I've ever read! Domenico will have you fanning yourself. HOT. HOT. HOT The romance isn't sweet at first, and I admit that I don't find Domenico's reasons for marrying her romantic. Nope. Not at all. But the dialogue, everything between them... Uber chemistry! But once he does admit his feelings, the moment was adorable and sigh-worthy.
Overall, The Werewolf Prince was a sexy, entertaining and a lot of fun read. And if you like shifters, with an endearing heroine and amazing hot sexy alpha, fantastic sex, and a great story. Read this!

RAWR! RAWR!
I've lately developed a taste for the werewolf. The large, hairy balls of danger have tickled my fancy, lol. Although I love my vampires, I am loving their none too-distant cousins, the werewolves.
Of course this sub-genre has it's winners and not so winners but I think this book rests down the middle. The Werewolf Prince and I is a PNR that doesn't pretend to be something it's not. We're talking straight up entertainment!
There is little to no world building, minimal development of secondary characters and somewhat distorted explanations for the exisence of supernatural beings. However, if you withhold judgement and focus on the dominant relationship between Domenico and Misty, then you're all good. I honestly think the lack of development is purposeful. This isn't about the fantastical world they live in, or the comings and goings of everyone else in the book.
This is about love. Betrayal. Trust. Commitment.
Misty is an endearing character. Growing up an orphan, she strives to be the best she could be with what little she has. She takes care of her "brothers and sisters," really her adopted family, and tries to step in when their foster mom often steps out. I really liked her and was desperate for her HEA.
Domenico needs a wife. NOW. War is brewing between the werewolves and any other supernatural being out there, and the humans. The details are never explained, the 5 W's are ignored but it doesn't change the fact that Domenico, the werewolf prince needs a bride.
And Misty is the woman unaware of her own beauty that fits the bill, and lucky for her she works in his building. The story was good in the sense that it was entertaining. It was never predicatable, because I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be predicting, but it made me root for Misty and want to punch Domenico.
I found his treatment of poor Misty to be really annoying and callous at times. I kept thinking he's gonna get his ass kicked eventually because all his "tests" and manipulations were catching up with him.
And caught up with him they did! you deserve it Mr. D!! This ends on a cliffy, a very severe one but luckily the next book, A Royal Heartbreak is already out!

Misty Wall works in the Moretti Inc.'s Administration Department. She is the head of her household, the oldest of several adopted children, she is constantly giving her adoptive mother money and taking care of the rest of the family. This makes Misty timid, nerdy, and broke. Her co-workers don't like her and she doesn't have time to look for a relationship since she's busy raising her adoptive brothers and sisters. I will warn you it ends in a cliffhanger and book 2 has not yet been released, so if you can't stand cliffhangers and waiting to find out what happens, you may want to add this book and book 2 to your TBR for after the next book is released. You should also note that English does not appear to be the first language of the author and you will notice some errors due to this. I totally enjoyed this book and would recommend the series for sure. I hope I don't have to wait long for book 2.

At first I wasn't certain about this book, Tee's writing convinced quickly enough!

For some the set-up may seem familiar--older supernatural creature finds young naive human woman utterly irresistible and defies everyone for them to be in a relationship, though he's actually quite scared of his feelings for her. This is kind of the paranormal romance MO in a nutshell, but Tee pokes fun at some of those tropes while delivering an amusing, very hot romance with an unexpectedly strong female.
I admit to being uncertain at first--Misty is likeable, but Domenico is just this side of villainous creeper in the beginning. Actually I thought I had misread the synopsis altogether and he WAS the villain. Really its just arrogance and confidence, but given that he is a) her boss, b) frighteningly stronger then her and c) did alot of background research on her before even speaking to her, it gets a bit shady.
I'll give Misty credit, she's not in a great situation (what with a miserly neglectful foster mother, 4 foster siblings to care for and being the target of office bullying), but she doesn't allow herself to be influenced by Domenico's wealth. Her confidence is shaky (though there's a lot of good reason for that) so Domenico's "money and lots of great sex" strategy doesn't hold appeal for her.
This is told in third person alternating viewpoints, so we see Misty's cautiousness in regards to why Domenico chose her and we see his slowing growing more pronounced feelings for her.
As the underlying plotline of why Domenico chose Misty (largely to be a big FU to his father, though Domenico also really enjoyed her company plus he needed to unite all the Lyccan factions plus make new allies plus avoid seeming to favor one pack over another plus he really wanted to sleep with her) becomes the focus, the story falls into well-worn and at times irritating grounds.
As to the ending, while I felt Misty was justified in how angry she became, it felt contrived as a way to hook readers for the next book. With the excerpt of Book 2 included it also felt underwhelming. The reason Misty gets upset is because of one line flung out by a hateful bitca. It was honestly something that could have been resolved by communication on their parts, but it was a bit shocking given how very in love Domenico looked.
Overall I enjoyed the book. There's not a whole lot of downtime so reading is quick and well paced. I looked at some of the love scenes with a raised eyebrow (how do you "twirl" your arms around someone's neck?), but this was a delightful read.

My thoughts on the book:
I loved how a simple attraction and a not so simple agreement can mix it up!Hmmmm.. What would you do when a super sexy billionaire makes a proposal that you can walk away from? I mean it can't always be that easy right? Nobody is perfect even this Alpha prince who promises the world. Domenico Moretti...sounds yummy..no? He has the sensual allure Misty can't seam to shake!
Misty Wall is your average hard working woman with too much on her plate. Loads of responsibilities weighting her down with her family. Not to mention the everyday crap she has to deal with at her job. Money is money.. Domenico sweeps in and paints a wonderful picture how their agreement will benefit them both in soooo many ways!
A Sizzling connection right from their first encounter. But happily ever after doesn't come cheep. The parts I loved about the book were the hard times and white lies Misty had succumbed to. Meaning relationships are not perfect they are work. I felt it made the growing affection between these two all the more believeable. Hard times and totally crappy situations that arose. Misty keeps her composure and really evolves from this new world she thrusts herself into. Longtime lover of the paranormal make the mental grasp easier. But I guess people are pains in the asses regardless of being human or wolf..lol
I am ready for the next book.!!!

This is the first time I have read a Marian Tee book. And I have got to say I'm hooked. As you know by now I don't like giving the story away, so there is no spoilers in this review.
The story is about Misty and Domenico. Misty is a intern who proofreads everyone's work to check for grammar, which has made her an outcast in Moretti Inc. Domenico is the handsome CEO and prince to the Moretti clan, who is looking for a human wife to get back at his dad. Misty lives at home with her siblings who are all foster kids to the laziest mum in the world. My favourite quote at the beginning is when Domenico is watching Misty arrive at work.
"Her curves were a rare blessing - made to be shaped by a man's hands"
This book had it's claw's dug in deep, I couldn't put it down, my emotions were all over the place I laughed, I wanted to scream at times at Misty's stupidity, but she made me laugh this was my favourite quote-
"Do you have a restroom somewhere? I'm about to pee in my undies. I'm that scared."
This is the moment Misty get called to Domenicos office, I was cringing, but it was funny. This book for me is up there with my favourite werewolf novels. I can't wait to read A Royal Heartbreak(book 2)

ITS NOT WITHOUT FLAWS, BUT I STILL LIKED IT
He's a tall dark green eyed billionaire CEO of his own company. But he's also a werewolf a royal prince heir to lead his pack. She's a human, and works for his company in a lowly position. What she doesn't know is that he's chosen her to be his wife. Now all he has to do is to persuade her to do what he wants. He sees her as the key to his ambitions.
This story is not perfect by any means, at times it's a bit convoluted, there's often a lot of information thrown at the reader. Here and there the story needed to be a bit tighter. But having said that I really liked it. It was one of those stories that once started it was hard to put down. Domenico did not always treat Misty very well in this, in fact to be blunt he uses her. But I'm sure he's going to suffer for it. This does end on a cliffhanger but I solved that by waiting till both parts were published.

I love to find a new author that I love of the back.
Really enjoyed the story but I'm still a little baffled about the rationale behind Domenico's selection of Misty. It’s noted in the book as the ability to accept his Lyccan nature but I would have liked a little more in-depth explanation or back story as to why Misty is perfect to be Queen.
However, I am beyond happy that a heroine isn't described as thin but Misty has an actual figure "Her curves were a rare blessing - made to be shaped by a man's hands"
What I didnt like was how he manipulates Misty and uses sex to divert any conversation he doesn't want to have..
That Ending... just leaves you wanting MORE!!!!!

Fantastic! It took me a while to like the writing style ,when you get used to it, its really worth sticking with. The only thing that let it down for me, spelling and punctuation! I found myself rereading paragraphs to make sense of it. Apart from that, amazing. Edgy and steamy, with lots of attitude to it. I really enjoyed it x

Really enjoyed the story but I'm still a little confused about the reasoning behind Domenico's selection of Misty. It wasn't quite explained to my satisfaction. I understand that he was trying to piss off his dad but what made Misty so perfect for that role? Just wondering.

The Werewolf Prince and I is about Misty Wall, a very self-conscious and painfully shy/awkward/klutzy young woman who works for Domenico Moretti, the big boss of the company. She is the Grammar Nazi (ha) which means everyone hates her for correcting their work. As the book introducses us to another normal day at the office for Misty, she goes up to the building's 'library' only to walk in on the itchy bee giving a blowjob to a married worker. The poor thing is hassled and threatened by the woman, Janice, but she throws up when she sees the guy's wrinkled genitals lol. Then when she gets called up to Mr. Moretti's office, her whole life changes.
Domenico has a whole plan and Misty is the perfect and most important piece of it, so he proposes to her and confesses his lineage as a werewolf. She accepts (after some hilarious stuff goes on, including her asking him to show that he physically yearns for her as a condition to her saying 'yes'), and Janice, of course, doesn't trust Misty after hearing that she'd gone up to the boss's office, so she sets around the rumor that Misty was the one to give the guy a blowjob, which mortifies her, and pisses of Domenico. He watches her through the security cameras, and after a few women nastily reprimand Misty, he rescues her, announcing she's his fiance. Ladida, she goes with him to Lake Tahoe, where she is then introduced to his world.
Misty is like, extremely childish and hilariously clueless/naive/trusting/almost-always-crying-she's-so-passionate-and-expressive-when-it-comes-to-him and you can't help but love her. Well, I couldn't help but love her. Someone less tolerable might've been disgusted by her lack of a spine and bite (or bark, for that matter...no pun intended). But she loves Domenico, and it pains me while reading this because while she's falling heavy for him, he's thinking of other ways to better his plan.
See, Domenico can't stand his father after his twin died and his father told him he'd wished it was Domenico that had died, so all this time he's been doing things to piss his father off. Marrying a human was just the icing on the cake. In the beginning he's kind of an asshole, because when Misty innocently questions him, he gets back at her by letting her suffer in her workmates' presence and their gossip that Misty was not good enough for him after all. (UGH, jerk!) But as the story continues, he slowly becomes infatuated with her, to the point of Lust. You can certainly see that they're both hot for each other, but where Misty is emotion and innocent loyalty, he's sex and sex (like he... you know... every chance he can to assure that he's hers). She's still a virgin, and will remain so until their wedding night, which is a week after they arrive in California.
When they arrive, he makes her work in a business completely filled with other werewolves, telling her he wishes for her to see how they operate. Of course, there's Rebecca, his used-to-be-one-time bed warmer, and this woman is disgusted that Domenico would bring around his (assumed and rumored) human mistress, as Domenico wishes to keep their engagement a secret until he can use it to his advantage *rolls eyes*. She's supposed to be a sub secretary, but Rebecca has her working as a mail girl. It's like her old job all over again, but she refuses to disappoint Domenico and tries to make the best of it. She meets Jayme, the son of a pack leader, which she doesn't know yet. And while all this is happening, Domenico is watching, satisfied that everything is going to plan. He'd wanted as many pack alliances as he could get, and sweet Misty is the key to having it. (Did I mention he's kind of a major asshole?)
A lot of bad stuff happens to Misty, starting with Rebecca. The woman had written a note that resulted in Misty looking for papers supposedly for her on a pack leader's desk, but the few friends that she meets rescue her, as she needs a minimum of two pack members not related to her trial to speak up for her, and it's hilarious because the people she befriended were all royalty from different packs, which she hadn't realized. lol She even groans at the fact that she's a useless detector of royalty- at this point I was like "Uh, no kidding! You don't even know that Domenico is soon going to be the pack leader of allll the packs lol."
While I'm reading this, I can't help but cry every time something (that would doubt Misty's feelings for him) comes up, because I totally know he's going to mess something up and she's going to be heartbroken. You have no idea how many scenarios of his screwing it up came into my head, with her in tears and doing something like leaving him, after giving him a tongue-lashing (not in the sexual way). Like, when his POV comes up he's thinking things like: 'If she disappoints him in this, he won't marry her. Of course, he'll buck her senseless until she knows body and soul that he's hers'-'If this alliance with so-and-so was a guarantee, he would've married his daughter no questions asked'. He's so detached sometimes!! (And an asshole!!!)
On one hand he totally wants Misty sexually, but he's engaged to his Master Plan that he still sees Misty as a means to get what he wants. It gets a little better though, as he slowly falls for Misty and loves the way she makes him calm or smile or laugh. But it won't save you, buster!
After they marry and have sex (finalllly) he tells her that people will ask if they've mated, and that she can say yes. She thinks mating means sex. So when time passes and she's at this ball held for her and her husband's joining, rumors that Domenico was seen with the princess he was supposed to marry (refer to the blue italic above) gets back to her. However, she loves him deeply, and ignores the rumors, knowing she can trust him. And even when he comes to the ball with the woman at his side, she believes him when he says it's not what it looks like, and she nods, knowing that the hunting he's done for the vampires requires him to be with the princess's pack.
And then all hell breaks loose...
... figuratively speaking.
The princess, Rafaella, corners Misty and says he'll drop her, that she means nothing to him and was just a plot in his plan until he could get all the packs with him. She doesn't believe her, and then Rafaella says something. Several, in fact. Let's just go to the book (I do not own this, this is just a reference, not in any way one of those weird copyrights things- just to make sure):
"Then why was he considering nullifying your marriage when he learned that my father could help him ally with the Caros?" Rafaella challenged.
She ignores this and says that she won't stoop to her level to ask him, and then she tells Rafaella that they had been mated, 'every night'. This causes someone in the ballroom to laugh, and then Rafaella goes:
"You! God, what an idiot you are! And your mind is in the gutters! When we say 'mated' we're not talking about sexual intercourse, you idiot. We're talking about mating as the true joining of two mates... of you becoming like us." Rafaella laughed. "But you're not, are you?"
She (Misty) walked away, head held high.
This made me cry!!!!!!!!! Finally, the big sh*t hit the fan and splattered everywhere, and boy did it reek!! I think from here we can all agree that she confronts him. You'd expect explosives going off, though, but instead she fights him back brokenly, resolved and "I've-had-it-with-this-sh*t". He follows her and is like, "I'm sorry I screwed up, I love you, let's mate right now-" and she's like, "What makes you think I would ever want to do that with you now?" And then she whispers a few words, and poof! Disappears.
So I'd prepared myself with a toilet paper roll and had finally plugged my nose while finishing it. She's gone for three days, and his life is hell as he realizes over and over again-
*I replay it*
*Over and over again*
*And I can't take it, I can't shake it*
*Cause it's all in my hea-*
Cough.
So he's in hell and then a letter comes in- OH! Right. Okay, so there was a pack leader who wanted to go to war with humans because his son had committed suicide after being rejected by a human lover. However, it turned out Daryl (the son) had just become a fairy, he hadn't really died. So after Misty sees him and reconnects the father and son, everything is better...oh and that's why she'd gone 'poof', cause I assume she'd gotten some words that would take her away to fairyland -saying that the self-exiled fairies will ally themselves with the werewolves on behalf of their sister, Misty, and that Misty wishes to cut all ties with her husband, which is more permanent that a divorce. In other words, she wishes to never ever see him again.
END!
So thank GOD there was a sneak peak. 16 months (more than a year!) has passed and as the person why keeps the alliance between the fairies and werewolves strong, she goes back to his world when she hears that her sister-in-law was tortured by vampires. Of course, as she's talking with Daryl's dad, Domenico comes in, asking to speak to her in private. He's staring at how much like a fairy she looks (more regal, elegant blah blah) and gets mad, then their tongues get in on, and then he gets even more mad after he vows that the fairies will not have what's his.
She breaks away saying that if he does not present their 'divorce' to the Council, she will, and leaves. He follows her to his sister's room in the hospital and offers to drive her to the hotel where she's to meet Daryl, and then he kinda tricks her, saying he'll present their divorce, and when she starts crying, he gets the "I knew it!" moment and kisses her senseless (not to mention other things *wink* *wink*). She says she won't forgive him or get back together with him despite how much her body still belongs to him, and he tells her that he'll make her fall in love with him again.
Aw. Okay that part was kind of cute. The 50 First Dates line, not the wild sex lol.
This was a great book! I mean, it made me cry haha so it's good to me if it can make me emotional. The only thing bad about it (for me) was when some of the paragraphs changed from past to present tense when they weren't supposed to. That, and maybe a few missing 'it'-'was'-'a' words in sentences... um, can't think of anything else. Some people might not like how "whiny" she is or how much she cries. Just think of it this way: If you're one of those people who can't stand Twilight because of how weak and pathetic you think Bella is, then fuck off. This is so not the book for you.
I mean, there were times when I wanted to slap Misty for not standing up for herself, but that's just how she is. And as you can see, Domenico's broken promise had made her harder and less gullible so I don't think she'll be crying over him anytime soon in the second book.
I recommend this book. :) And hey, did you know the author is Filipino-Chinese? My first favorite Filipino-Chinese author! haha. She likes anime and dance... I don't know why I'm telling you this. I guess it was just cool. Different from a lot of the 'married or single with pets' descriptions. :P

You can certainly see that they're both hot for each other, but where Misty is emotion and innocent loyalty, he's sex and sex (like he... you know... every chance he can to assure that he's hers). She's still a virgin, and will remain so until their wedding night, which is a week after they arrive in California.
When they arrive, he makes her work in a business completely filled with other werewolves, telling her he wishes for her to see how they operate. Of course, there's Rebecca, his used-to-be-one-time bed warmer, and this woman is disgusted that Domenico would bring around his (assumed and rumored) human mistress, as Domenico wishes to keep their engagement a secret until he can use it to his advantage *rolls eyes*. She's supposed to be a sub secretary, but Rebecca has her working as a mail girl. It's like her old job all over again, but she refuses to disappoint Domenico and tries to make the best of it. She meets Jayme, the son of a pack leader, which she doesn't know yet. And while all this is happening, Domenico is watching, satisfied that everything is going to plan. He'd wanted as many pack alliances as he could get, and sweet Misty is the key to having it. (Did I mention he's kind of a major asshole?)
A lot of bad stuff happens to Misty, starting with Rebecca. The woman had written a note that resulted in Misty looking for papers supposedly for her on a pack leader's desk, but the few friends that she meets rescue her, as she needs a minimum of two pack members not related to her trial to speak up for her, and it's hilarious because the people she befriended were all royalty from different packs, which she hadn't realized. lol She even groans at the fact that she's a useless detector of royalty- at this point I was like "Uh, no kidding! You don't even know that Domenico is soon going to be the pack leader of allll the packs lol."
While I'm reading this, I can't help but cry every time something (that would doubt Misty's feelings for him) comes up, because I totally know he's going to mess something up and she's going to be heartbroken. You have no idea how many scenarios of his screwing it up came into my head, with her in tears and doing something like leaving him, after giving him a tongue-lashing (not in the sexual way). Like, when his POV comes up he's thinking things like: 'If she disappoints him in this, he won't marry her. Of course, he'll buck her senseless until she knows body and soul that he's hers'-'If this alliance with so-and-so was a guarantee, he would've married his daughter no questions asked'. He's so detached sometimes!! (And an asshole!!!)
On one hand he totally wants Misty sexually, but he's engaged to his Master Plan that he still sees Misty as a means to get what he wants. It gets a little better though, as he slowly falls for Misty and loves the way she makes him calm or smile or laugh. But it won't save you, buster!
After they marry and have sex (finalllly) he tells her that people will ask if they've mated, and that she can say yes. She thinks mating means sex. So when time passes and she's at this ball held for her and her husband's joining, rumors that Domenico was seen with the princess he was supposed to marry (refer to the blue italic above) gets back to her. However, she loves him deeply, and ignores the rumors, knowing she can trust him. And even when he comes to the ball with the woman at his side, she believes him when he says it's not what it looks like, and she nods, knowing that the hunting he's done for the vampires requires him to be with the princess's pack.
And then all hell breaks loose...
... figuratively speaking.
The princess, Rafaella, corners Misty and says he'll drop her, that she means nothing to him and was just a plot in his plan until he could get all the packs with him. She doesn't believe her, and then Rafaella says something. Several, in fact. Let's just go to the book (I do not own this, this is just a reference, not in any way one of those weird copyrights things- just to make sure):
"Then why was he considering nullifying your marriage when he learned that my father could help him ally with the Caros?" Rafaella challenged.
She ignores this and says that she won't stoop to her level to ask him, and then she tells Rafaella that they had been mated, 'every night'. This causes someone in the ballroom to laugh, and then Rafaella goes:
"You! God, what an idiot you are! And your mind is in the gutters! When we say 'mated' we're not talking about sexual intercourse, you idiot. We're talking about mating as the true joining of two mates... of you becoming like us." Rafaella laughed. "But you're not, are you?"
She (Misty) walked away, head held high.
This made me cry!!!!!!!!! Finally, the big sh*t hit the fan and splattered everywhere, and boy did it reek!! I think from here we can all agree that she confronts him. You'd expect explosives going off, though, but instead she fights him back brokenly, resolved and "I've-had-it-with-this-sh*t". He follows her and is like, "I'm sorry I screwed up, I love you, let's mate right now-" and she's like, "What makes you think I would ever want to do that with you now?" And then she whispers a few words, and poof! Disappears.
So I'd prepared myself with a toilet paper roll and had finally plugged my nose while finishing it. She's gone for three days, and his life is hell as he realizes over and over again-
*I replay it*
*Over and over again*
*And I can't take it, I can't shake it*
*Cause it's all in my hea-*
Cough.
So he's in hell and then a letter comes in- OH! Right. Okay, so there was a pack leader who wanted to go to war with humans because his son had committed suicide after being rejected by a human lover. However, it turned out Daryl (the son) had just become a fairy, he hadn't really died. So after Misty sees him and reconnects the father and son, everything is better...oh and that's why she'd gone 'poof', cause I assume she'd gotten some words that would take her away to fairyland -saying that the self-exiled fairies will ally themselves with the werewolves on behalf of their sister, Misty, and that Misty wishes to cut all ties with her husband, which is more permanent that a divorce. In other words, she wishes to never ever see him again.
END!
So thank GOD there was a sneak peak. 16 months (more than a year!) has passed and as the person why keeps the alliance between the fairies and werewolves strong, she goes back to his world when she hears that her sister-in-law was tortured by vampires. Of course, as she's talking with Daryl's dad, Domenico comes in, asking to speak to her in private. He's staring at how much like a fairy she looks (more regal, elegant blah blah) and gets mad, then their tongues get in on, and then he gets even more mad after he vows that the fairies will not have what's his.
She breaks away saying that if he does not present their 'divorce' to the Council, she will, and leaves. He follows her to his sister's room in the hospital and offers to drive her to the hotel where she's to meet Daryl, and then he kinda tricks her, saying he'll present their divorce, and when she starts crying, he gets the "I knew it!" moment and kisses her senseless (not to mention other things *wink* *wink*). She says she won't forgive him or get back together with him despite how much her body still belongs to him, and he tells her that he'll make her fall in love with him again.
Aw. Okay that part was kind of cute. The 50 First Dates line, not the wild sex lol.
This was a great book! I mean, it made me cry haha so it's good to me if it can make me emotional. The only thing bad about it (for me) was when some of the paragraphs changed from past to present tense when they weren't supposed to. That, and maybe a few missing 'it'-'was'-'a' words in sentences... um, can't think of anything else. Some people might not like how "whiny" she is or how much she cries. Just think of it this way: If you're one of those people who can't stand Twilight because of how weak and pathetic you think Bella is, then fuck off. This is so not the book for you.
I mean, there were times when I wanted to slap Misty for not standing up for herself, but that's just how she is. And as you can see, Domenico's broken promise had made her harder and less gullible so I don't think she'll be crying over him anytime soon in the second book.
I recommend this book. :) And hey, did you know the author is Filipino-Chinese? My first favorite Filipino-Chinese author! haha. She likes anime and dance... I don't know why I'm telling you this. I guess it was just cool. Different from a lot of the 'married or single with pets' descriptions. :P

yeah idk what I did to myself either. this book was so obviously written in 2012, it really speaks for the generation just like the title. anyways that was a hot mess and I'm glad its over :)

At the end I was like "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! This can't be happening to me!" However, the second book is out, so I will console myself by reading that.
I'm so dumb I didn't realize there was more than one book about Misty - DUH!
This is the second Marian Tee book I've read and while I could write a full, blog-able review, I will just leave you with a few quick thoughts since I'm pretty sure quite a lot of people will already have reviewed.
This book was in fact, not at all what I was expecting. It was like a cross between Trust in Advertising (Victoria Michaels) and Feral Sins (Suzanne Wright) with the whole CEO likes office worker thing and then the familial relationships of Domenico - who, coincidentally, has a very strange name.
The editing in the book was okay, as I went through I could pick out quite a few errors, but unless you're a grammar Nazi, like I am, then generally, you wouldn't notice.
I liked the characters - Everyone in this book whose name began with R was a complete bitch... Not particularly intelligent bitches either.
I found Misty started to grate on my very fragile nerves at some points, I wanted to yell: Get a bloody back bone! She just let bad things happen to her, whereas she could have told people to get fucked! They weren't her superiors, they already treated her like shit, so it's not like she has anything to lose - Never be the chick who cries in the corner when abused by someone else. Be the one who throws the attitude right back at them. If they're going to hate you, give them a real reason.

This book was......Funny. I wasn't expecting that. I kind of went into it expecting another weak heroine with low self esteem who falls in love with a beautiful werewolf, he saves her from the bad guys, they confess their undying love for each other, blah blah blah.
I was very pleasantly surprised. The heroine, with the unfortunate name of Misty Walls, is shockingly funny. While yes, she's got some self esteem issues, she wears it well. She's strong minded, doesn't jump to conclusions about her man, which is so damn refreshing, I can't even begin to tell you. And without giving anything away, the scene near the front of the book where Misty is looking for a place to go to lunch and comes across something rather, um, unfortunate, had me laughing so hard I was crying. I would have had her same reaction.
The Werewolf Prince,Domenico is self centered and manipulative, as I would expect he would be. He screws up big time, and she puts him in his place.
The book is not all lighthearted. Domenico has a lot going on, with coming war and trying to protect his people at the same time trying to exact revenge and keep Misty.
It's a sexy read with only a few problems, like a few small typos and some areas I wish we had gotten a bigger explanation about, that are easily overlooked. I enjoyed it.
This is a two parter, I can't wait for the second half to see how it all turns out.
