This is a really well researched book that paints a bleak picture of the history of meth in NZ.
It was hard to keep up sometimes with different ideas running together, making it unclear what the overarching message was for a chapter (or the book as a whole). I would have appreciated some more eloquent retelling of the human impact stories, rather than just ‘this person reckons this…’
The book did have moments that were moving and fascinating, but I struggled to maintain interest despite my high interest in the subject.
