I felt this book was good if you had absolutely no previous knowledge of AI but quite a large portion of the book was very foundational (which I probably should have gleaned from the title!) and didn’t really cover too much outside of what might be readily available in mainstream media.

The positives I would give was the bonus section which suggested different tips for utilising platforms such as ChatGTP and a useful section which essentially distilled into one chapter the different AI platforms available at the moment.

Overall I would recommend but definitely more for an audience that has done no prior reading on the subject rather than someone wishing to expand their knowledge on AI.

I mean no disrespect to the author, but while reading this book it honestly felt like it had been written by an AI itself. The book is very surface level, repetitive, and doesn't teach you much about AI, but instead simply tells you about industries that are currently making use of AI. If you've read a few articles about AI on the news, you probably already know the majority of what this book has to offer.
