Be careful who you trust. A business trip to LA to investigate a homicide leads Detectives Daniels and Remalla to escort a nervous witness needed for trial back home. Their routine trip becomes complicated though, when they unexpectedly bump into the last person they expect to see.
Now traveling with two passengers, they’ll be forced to change plans and take shelter with a stranger when a series of suspicious events turns deadly.
When the threat reveals that they may be the targets, Daniels’ and Remalla’s survival will require them to take matters into their own hands, but their adversary’s tactics reveal a perilous and unexpected game.
When the rules change and alliances are questioned, their only hope is to do what they do best—rely on each other.
Award-winning author J.T. Bishop is a writer of mystery thrillers with a supernatural edge. Growing up, she read books by Stephen King, Mary Higgins Clark, and Dean Koontz, devoured every episode of The X-Files, and watched plenty of TV shows with great partnerships that left her wanting more. She loves tangled relationships, unexpected twists and turns, heart-stopping love stories, and the complications that come with all the above. Throw in a little supernatural fun and she’s hooked. Her evil plan is to hook you, too.
She’s the author of The Red-Line Trilogy and its sister series, The Fletcher Family Saga, which features touches of urban fantasy, light sci-fi, and paranormal romance. She’s also happily writing mystery thrillers featuring two charismatic detectives who may occasionally encounter a supernatural villain or two, and a crossover series which follows the exploits of a gifted, but troubled, paranormal P.I. and his spunky sister.
And coming March 20th, J.T. introduces the Lexie Logan mystery thriller series with book one, The Forgotten Night. Introduced in Bishop's detective books, Lexie is an independent journalist on the hunt for the truth, no matter what the cost. She's a thrilling character Bishop can't wait to share with you!

I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This book begins with Rem and Daniels involved in a case with the dead victim branded with a star. They do not have a lot of evidence to go on and discover that there was a similar case in L.A. They adivse their captain that they would be going to L.A. to talk to the dectives that were involved with the similar case. It was at that time that they learned that they would be transporting a witness for a trial on their way back. When Rem and Daniels returned to their hotel after talking to the detectives, they saw Daniels' father. Later they discovered that in addition to the trial witness, Daniels' father would be returning with them to San Diego.
As they begin their trip back, they became involved in several incidents that placed them all in danger.
To discover what Danger they faced, who else wound up joining them and how it all ended in the end, then you need to read this book. It is worth it and a great continuation of the series.
Hot darn this series gets me so engrossed every time. The characters are an incredibly powerful and humanly passionate and weak all in one they get into your head and heart and don't let go. Now that is some writer that gives characters good guys or bad and when I say bad I mean Evil with a capital E this the kind of book that you make time for because you'll be entranced turning page after page not going anywhere but into the next exciting page until you've reached its unexpected and climatic conclusion. Acquire " Dominion " (Book 7 in the Detectives Daniels and Remalla) Murder Mystery Suspense Thriller for hours of intriguing and enjoyable entertainment. Kat
Dominion: A Murder Mystery Suspense Thriller (Detectives Daniels and Remalla Book 7), my twentieth read from author J.T. Bishop. This 322-page traditional detective thriller was well-crafted, & flowed smoothly & quickly, building on characters introduced in earlier works. “I received a Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author, Illusions: A Murder Mystery Suspense Thriller (Detectives Daniels and Remalla Book 8) is high on my TBR list. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Detectives Daniels and Remalla have a new murder case. The victim was branded and when they searched the data bank, there was a similar case a few years back in LA. They don’t want to travel there to get the old case file, but they are sent anyway and supposed to escort a crime witness back with them. On their way back, things go crazy (of course). The two have to protect themselves and the witness. I love the characters and the way they work together. I have read a few others from this author and each book is well written. I received an ARC copy from the author and this is my honest review.
A routine job for Rem and Daniels to transport a witness who needs to testify in a murder case turns into a frantic race for life when multiple attempts are made to kill the group.
The two main characters are well rounded and have fully detailed back stories built up throughout the series. The banter between the two detectives is funny and entertaining.
A great plot that integrates into the series as a whole and sets up some nice hooks ready for book 8
Daniels and Remalla are back baby! So much adventure, suspense, intrigue, twisty turny excitement that will keep you on your toes✨. There's never a dull moment in this one! Get ready for a few major surprises along the way that will leave you excited for the next in this brilliant series! My jaw was on floor at one point 😉. Yup...it was *that* good!
Wow, yet another cracker from a great thriller writer. I thoroughly enjoyed this one from start to a finish I didn’t see coming. So much so I believe that this story is going to run and run. Highly recommended.
Once again we are given a fantastic suspense story that will have us gripped until the end. Detectives Daniel’s and Remalla are once again at work. There’s unexpected danger that needs to be solved as quickly as possible. Don’t miss out.
Rem and Daniels are assigned to take a witness to testify in a trial. Their car breaks down in a small remote town. That is when things get very interesting. A riveting novel that is hard to put down.
Wow, yet another cracker from a great thriller writer. I thoroughly enjoyed this one from the start to a finish I didn’t see coming. So much so I believe that this story is going to run and run. They do get into some scrape’s don’t they. Highly recommended.
I love Daniels and Remalla. All through reading, I thought things were pretty straightforward. However, the plot twisted and now there is a new element as well as a possible blast from the past. J.T. keeps you on your toes.
I am such a fan of author J.T. Bishop and have a bookshelf dedicated entirely to her series. Once again, she takes the reader on a thrilling ride as Detectives Daniels and Remalla fight for their lives and question who, if any, can be trusted. Without giving anything away, twists and turns abound. Bishop never disappoints. I'm hooked and can't wait for what's next.
An excellent beginning of a new story arc for our favorite detectives! An unseen enemy, shifting allegiances, plus a heaping helping of family drama are a recipe for awesome!
I thought I was really gonna love this book, especially since we couldn’t really figure out who the culprit was, however, the ending didn’t culminate in anything. I just didn’t like it as much as the books before it.
This book definitely was not of my favorites of this series. It seems to drag on in the beginning and just when got the ending it more or less fell flat.
I love the Daniels and Remalla book series by JT Bishop. This one does not fail to impress. it's a great suspense story and the characters are believable. I pre-order the next book once I finish the current one. you won't be disappointed.
