Written by Abhimanyu Rajarajan, the book uses a simple dialogue style between Jack and Jill to explain the idioms about color in English Language. The dialogues have been framed well so that you never realize you are learning idioms. Born in a small village near the temple town Kumbakonam, Abhimanyu Rajarajan carries with him the traditional mythological traces passed on by centuries of customs. I received a free ebook version from the author.
The book attempts to teach the idioms to kids in an informal and fun sort of a way through a series of conversations between 'Jack' and 'Jill'. The only problem is, the conversation wasn't funny at all. Some of the idioms, i.e. 'green fingers' didn't sound quite right (I believe we use 'Green Thumb' in the U.S.).
It was a worthwhile endeavor, but it didn't quite work out...
