Christmas isn’t the only thing coming this holiday season…

Dasher comes from a long line of reindeer used to pull Santa sleighs. It’s an honor to lead the team each Christmas Eve, bringing joy around the world, and there’s nothing more fulfilling than teaching young shifters. But balancing both positions is exhausting, and he’s informed he must take a mandatory vacation.

When Dasher’s friend finds him an all-inclusive resort for a great price, he signs up. What could be better than sitting on the beach, drinking margaritas, and getting some sun? On the day he’s scheduled to leave, he looks at his reservation more carefully and discovers a mix-up. He’s not going to the sun-filled beach, he’s off to the mountains. Oh well, a vacation is a vacation.

Omega Byron is working at his uncle’s dilapidated mountainside resort for yet another Christmas. After the start-up he was working for went belly up, he has no choice. And besides, his uncle could use the help. Business isn't what it used to be, and the resort is barely making ends meet.

When a hottie checks in, Byron plans to keep it professional. That is, until a hiking accident changes everything.

Dasher is the first book in the multi-author M/M Mpreg Christmas romance series Mated at the North Pole, featuring Santa’s reindeer who find their mates while on a mandatory vacation. Dasher features an alpha reindeer balancing too much on his plate, a human who has no idea shifters exist, old fashioned mountainside resort fun, Christmas magic, s’mores a plenty, a Christmas tree three sizes too big, an adorable kitten, the best Christmas present ever—true love, fated mates, an adorable baby, and guaranteed happy ever afters. Well that was nice ... nice is not the best assessment, but I can't think of anything more appropriate. It's the first book in a series dedicated to reindeer shifters. The concept behind it is super cute and I liked the story and all the background the book sets up. This Christmas story is definitely different ...

Dasher desperately needs a vacation and finds his human omega mate at a resort he hadn't even booked. Byron is helping out his uncle and he is immediately smitten at first sight with Dasher. As it is with fated mates. What bothers me is that there are too many people around the two of them, they don't really have time for themselves and you only get to see very little of the quiet private moments. I need more romance and couple time.

„You have some marshmallow on your lip.” I tapped my mouth to show him.
He leaned in, only an inch from my lips. “You better clean that up, since it was your marshmallow that made the mess.”
💗💗💗

As there are many more reindeer in this series, there is hope that the next book might be better. I think I just need to read a few other books, otherwise I can't get the Rudolph song out of my head, it's getting annoying.

It was cute and Christmassy and I liked the concept but otherwise it was just ok. Not bad or anything and it was fun as a quick holiday read.

I wanted to love this first book in a new seasonal multi author series.... but I think that this particular author is just not for me. I felt like there was and it totally took me out of the read. I don't even have a decent highlight to share in my review, which is so disappointing!

That being said, I really did adore the themed worldbuilding in this book. The idea of reindeer shifters and many Santa's was fun, and enough to entice me to try the next book in this series Dancer! I love a book where the person and beast inhabit and coexist together, and can communicate, so that easily bumped this read up a star for me and hopefully it continues in the consecutive books!

This was book 1 in the "Mated at the North Pole" series. Dasher is a busy reindeer he is lead deer for one of the Santa's he also trains and does all the paperwork he is overworked and needs a vacation so the Santa's force him to take one. While checking his reservations he realizes that he is booked at a winter resort and not a beach vacation. Byron thought is life was going good he has a job at a start-up when he is unable to log on he goes into the office to find out that the company has went belly up so he heads to his uncles resort a place that he loved and spent a lot of time at as a child. This was a pretty good read Dasher smells his mates scent and when uncle Louie introduces him to his nephew he finds his mate. I loved how Dasher was willing to help around the resort as it is in need of repair. Byron knows that it was something off about Dasher but he ignored it until Dasher had to shift to help uncle Louie. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading more book in this series.

that was so sweet

I love Christmas shifter sweet no angst reads. I also love when they can have conversations with their inner animal. And the best thing of all, all the numbered Santa’s. I can’t wait to start this next book. This will be one of my go to Christmas each year.

I adored the concept of this story so much, the world building of the Christmas village is so much fun. Reindeer shifters, training, many Santa and reindeer for all over the world not just one. Such an interesting setup, it was interesting to learn about the history and lifestyle.

The romance is so sweet and all of the festive feels too, with the resort in the mountains a beautiful setting. Also the various activities were lovely - Bingo, Baking, Smores, Campfire, Christmas room and hikes.

An entertaining read from start to finish, I enjoyed the developing romance especially initial meeting. Those first kisses, teasing and flirting with all the comforting feels between them. It's pretty rushed towards the end with the reveal and insta love, with their being fated mates.

Overall it was a cosy, festive and lovely read with a happy ending for Dasher & Byron ✨

This book is part of the Mated at the North Pole series and the main characters are alpha reindeer shifter Dasher and omega Byr (Byron) who has just been made redundant from yet another start-up he was doing marketing for. As a fall back, he rings his Uncle Louie and asks if he needs any help for the holiday season at his River Ridge mountainside resort, where he spent lots of holidays growing up. Dasher has worked himself up to being the head reindeer at Christmas Village and loves training all the new teams of reindeer to be ready to take out the sleighs on Christmas Eve, to deliver their loads of presents before the big day. All of the Santas are known by their numbers and Dasher has to deal with lots of requests from the Santas, but it can take up a lot of time, he really needs to spend on his piles of paperwork. It is still only November, but he has been falling asleep at his desk, trying to get everything done. Lots of hints are being given to him by his friends and colleagues, but it is only when he is ordered to by the Santas that he has to seriously take the order and sort out a holiday. His best friend invites him round for dinner and looks up loads of amazing holidays all around the world and gets him to choose one. He believes he is going to an all-inclusive sunshine holiday, but is shocked to find out at the last minute that his booking now shows he is going to a mountain side resort!

When he gets driven up to the resort, he can tell that it has become quite rundown and it’s past its heyday. Did the fact the elf lights flickered just as his friend submitted the booking for the holiday, warning do not call them fairy lights – it upsets the elves, have any effect on why his choice was changed? Perhaps the magic of the North Pole had something to do with it! Thankfully, even though his room, especially the bathroom, are outdated, they are clean and he leaves to see what is going on. He decides to take the stairs after being cooped up for so long travelling, when he smells something that catches his attention and even that of his reindeer. It is the scent of his mate! He looks all over the public areas, but stepping outside just makes it fainter. Hopefully that means his mate is a member of staff and he sits in the lobby waiting to spot him! His reindeer wants him to hurry up and find him, but when they do, they find out his is human and that means Dasher is going to have to go a lot slower! He is talking to Louie, when he spots him and is told he is his nephew and is helping him out, but was busy carrying luggage up the stairs for people checking in, hence the strong scent. Byron sees him and thinks he is an absolute hottie, but tries to remain professional in front of all the other guests, especially with his uncle joking about bingo balls yet again! Seeing the resort for the first time in years, has shown him how badly it is doing, but there is no real money to fix anything, as visitor numbers have been falling for years. They get a lot of repeat visitors, who come every single year, but they are all getting older, as are most of his uncle’s staff. Dasher soon finds himself helping out, not wanting to see someone as old as Uncle Louie, up on top of a tall ladder changing lights.

Dasher checks out what Byron’s schedule is and tries to turn up at the activities, wanting to spend as much of his holiday as he can with him. The two get closer as the days go by, but don’t have much chance of anything other than a kiss or two, before being interrupted by others. Finally getting to Byron’s room one night, they have almost got onto the bed, when his phone rings and he has to go and sort out a blocked toilet. Very romantic! They finally get away from the resort a bit, when Uncle Louie and Bryon go to check the route for a special walk they have their guests go on to choose the perfect Christmas tree, and Dasher goes with them. Just as they argue over which is the perfect tree, Uncle Louie falls to the ground and Dasher has to take some unexpected action revealing his true identity! Now as well as the resort, Byron has to look after his uncle as well, so romance with Dasher is a welcome relief, but he knows that Dasher has to go home soon and prepare for the big day. He knows he will see him shortly after, but Christmas Eve is going to be a lonely day, even with all the guests and staff around. A special arrival comes for him and he has no idea how it came, but it allows for some good news for both him and Dasher! They may not live in the same place, but the two of them have to sort out a share of living arrangements, especially with news of a new addition making their Christmas. There is lots of Christmas surprises and help from lots of special characters, from elves, Santas, reindeer and more, as the news spreads and different needs are met by their family and friends. A lovely Christmas tale with magical assistance and a MM pregnancy with a reindeer shifter and his human omega, adds to joy in the resort. I received an ARC copy of this book form BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

- Christmas Romance

This was a sweet Christmas read about a couple who finds each other right when they needed to. I’m still a little confused about the age range with these two and maybe I missed it, but all I know is that Dasher says he’s nineteen at one point and they both seem young for how mature and experienced they were. Either way, they are absolutely adorable together throughout the story.

Byron has just been let go again from another startup company and decides to go stay and help his uncle for another season at the resort in the mountains. The resort has lost its luster over the years but it still holds so many memories and traditions that make the place feel like home to Byron, since his uncle mainly raised him instead of his own parents. He wasn’t expecting to find someone there or to find out shifters were real, but a little Christmas magic was coming his way.

Dasher is the lead reindeer and also trains the new recruits in order to ensure the best reindeer are pulling the sleighs, yes more than one. He has filled his life completely with work and is starting to run himself thin, so his bosses decide it’s time for him to take a vacation, non-negotiable. Unfortunately, there’s a mix up with his reservation (fate intervening) and he ends up at a rundown resort in the mountains instead of on island beach in the sun. Dasher is grumpy and ready to leave when he catches the scent of his mate and everything changes. Once he discovers that Byron is his human mate, he has to find a way to woo him without scaring him away with his truth. An accident at the resort leads to an impromptu reveal and then Dasher and Byron have to come to terms with how their relationship will work with their careers.

They fully support and care for each other through their time together and apart. You don’t get many getting to know you scenes, but there is some decent steam throughout. I loved the Christmas story background for both characters and how they come together and create their family.

This is the first book in the Mated at the North Pole series and what a wonderful book it is. This is the story of Dasher and Byron. Dasher is an alpha reindeer shifter. He takes his job very seriously as training the new reindeer teams is an honour and a privilege. Unfortunately he is all work and stress, all the time. The Santa's (yes there are so many that they are numbered!) decree that must take a vacation. When fate changes his reservation he ends up at the River Ridge Resort. Byron is an omega who has been loved by his uncle at the River Ridge Resort. He is continually using his skills to set up marketing departments in numerous start-ups. The only problem being, the start-up could become wildly successful or it could crash and burn as most of them do. So losing his job just weeks before Christmas, he goes back home to help his uncle out at the Resort. Dasher and Byron meet and sparks instantly fly. This is their story. I liked the addition stressor of Byron being a human who knows nothing about shifters. On top of that, Dasher has to explain that he actually is the lead pulling the sleigh for Santa on his big night. That is a lot for someone to accept. This is a fun read. It is very well written and easy to read. I really enjoyed it. It has set the bar high for the rest of the series. I can't wait to read them all.

Dasher is the head reindeer for all the Santas. During the rest of the year, he spends his time teaching new reindeer how to fly with Santa's sled. Dasher has been working all out and everyone around him is worried about him. The Santas force him to take a vacation before Christmas hits. Dasher isn't happy but ends up planning a trip to a tropical beach. However fate butts in and messes with his reservation. He finds himself at a mountain resort. Even more shockingly a human male who works at the resort is his fated mate. Now Dasher has to tell Byron about shifters and mates without freaking him out.

Byron spent a lot of time at his uncles mountain resort growing up because his parents buried themselves in their work. The resort always felt like home to him. Byron graduated from college and moved to the city. His has joined some start-up business and loved each job. However his choices in companies are not the best because each one ends up crashing and burning. After losing his third job, Byron decides to return to the resort to help out his uncle during the Christmas holiday. When he spots Dasher a new guest, he is drawn to him and Dasher seems very willing to spend time with him. However Dasher seems to be hiding something about his life at home. Can Byron trust him?.

Dasher and Byron's Story . . .

Dasher is an alpha reindeer shifter, not only conveying Santa in the sleigh on Christmas Eve, but also training the younger reindeer for their future job pulling the sleigh. But Dasher is super-busy with both those important jobs and he is finally mandated to take a vacation break. A friend helps him with the arrangement, but he ends up at a mountain resort rather than the beach he had imagined.

At the rundown resort and just about ready to leave, Dasher meets human omega, Byron, scenting that this is his mate! When Byron had lost his job, he returned to help his Uncle Louie at the mountain resort. Byron and Dasher get along well, but how should Dasher reveal that he is a shifter? Fate stepped in when Dasher, Byron, and Uncle Louie went hiking and were looking for a Christmas tree. When Uncle Louie collapsed, Dasher needed to get him down off the mountain so the ambulance could get him to the hospital. Whether the timing was right or not, he needed to shift and get Byron to load him on his reindeer back. Would this revelation drive Byron away? Or could they now be totally honest with their situation and accept their mate bond? What would the future bring to them now?

Dasher is the head reindeer, one of the few in charge of all the other reindeers. He makes sure they get their training and makes sure the Santas have what they need to make the Christmas delivery for as smoothly as possible.

Dasher doesn't know how to take a break, so the Santas force him to take a vacation, which he's not happy about. Little did he know that during his vacation he'd find his mate.

Byron is struggling finding a job that lasts, he keeps getting hired at startups that inevitably go under. So he heads to his Uncle's Christmas 'resort' to help him out. He wasn't expecting to find someone he liked there, much less find out about shifters!

I thought this story was quite cute and sweet. Both characters worked well together and was quite adorable. There wasn't much getting to know you scenes, it was high steam when they got to that point. I liked the moment when Dasher explained to Byron what he is and what his Jon actually entails. I loved the Christmassy aspect of the story, all of the fun activities that Byron and his Uncle do at the Inn was written well and sounded like so much fun!

Reindeer shifter Dasher is from a long line to pull Santa's Sleighs and it is an honour to lead the team each Christmas Eve. At other times there is nothing more fulfilling than teaching young shifters and getting all of the paperwork in place. He is exhausted and is informed he is on an enforced holiday. His friend finds him an all-inclusive resort for a great price and he imagines a beach and margaritas but discovers there is a mix-up and he is going to the mountains instead. Omega human Byron is working at his uncle’s dilapidated mountainside resort which is barely making ends meet after his employer folds. When a hot guy checks in he keeps it professional until a hiking accident changes everything.

This was a sweet story where a shifter found his mate and the spirit of Christmas was spread. I loved the details of the village in the North Pole and how the gift-making and Santa/Reindeer side of things worked. I loved the way that Dasher and Byron were able to find a compromise between their lives and need to be in two locations. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse including MPreg.

Dasher

******* Spoiler Alert ******
I love ❤️ to read so many books by Lorelai Hart and Colbie Dunbar. This book did not disappoint. I love Mpreg stories.
This series is based off of Santa's reindeer.
This first book is about Santa's first reindeer and his trainer of other reindeer, Dasher. He becomes overworked and the Santas tell him he needs a vacation. He plans for one on the beaches but winds up at an old somewhat rundown resort.
Dasher's beast smells before sees his mate, Byron. But Byron has no idea what Dasher is. Just that they are attracted to one another. It was on a hike together with his beloved Uncle Louie that his uncle collapsed. They knew the ambulance could only get to the resort and that would take time. Dasher shifted into a reindeer and carried him to the resort. It was that night he told him who he was. What he was.
Dasher also told him about being mates. What followed was a night of erotica. He helped the whole of his vacation. And then it was time to go.
Not saying anymore....but there was lots after and lots more at the resort but you must tune in by Reading the book because it is an ABSOLUTE MUST READ!

If it's a Hart and Dunbar book, I know it's going to be a cozy, comfy read; with fated mates, mpreg and a HEA. The fact that it's a Christmas book makes it all the better.
Dasher, an Alpha as well as the lead reindeer and flight trainer, is overworked (his fault) and exhausted. Forced to take a vacation by the Santas, he scents his mate as soon as he gets to the resort. Byron, an Omega, has a knack for choosing the worst start-ups and is between jobs. Again. He goes to his uncle's resort to help out and regroup.
There's the usual dance about telling an uninformed Human that they're a shifter's mate. There's a bit of a health scare (kuddos to the authors for mentioning clot busting tPa although not by name). It's just a sweet story with a knotty and naughty scenes. You know what your getting when you see the authors' names. An excellent start for the Mated at the North Pole series.
I received an advanced copy and this is my honest review.

This is the first in a new series where Santa’s reindeer shifters are sent on vacation to meet their fated mates.

Alpha reindeer shifter Dasher thought he was going on a tropical vacation, but found himself at an old resort in the mountains. There he met omega Byron, newly arrived to help his uncle at the resort where he had spent so many Christmases in his life. Dasher recognizes Byron as his mate — now there are only a few minor obstacles to claiming his mate, like Byron is human and doesn’t know about shifters, let alone as a reindeer helping Santa. That should be easy to share, right — or maybe not?

Really cute, sweet story set in the shifter/human world of alphas and omegas, with fated mates, knotting, a sweet kitten, Bingo, glitter, and lots of Christmas. Should be a fun series for the holidays.

This was not my favorite book. I mostly just felt confused by the fact that the author stresses so much in the beginning of the book that Byron is human. Which to me, means that the people who aren’t shifters are just human. But imagine how confusing it is when Byron starts talking about alphas and taking knots? Like it just made no sense to me. And he’s human but can get pregnant?

He randomly (briefly) states “I’m a lucky omega” LIKE WHEN DID YOU GO FROM NORMAL UNAWARE HUMAN TO OMEGA? There is no other mention of anyone else being alpha, omega, beta etc but here Byron is, the one omega in the human world. Idk I DNFed at 82% so maybe the author clears things up by then but yeah this book was a flop.

And Dasher only being 19, but us never being told Byron’s age was weird. This book was just a mess and I’m reluctant to try the next one even though it’s a different author.

Dasher is sent on a vacation because all the Santa's agreed he needed a break. He ended up at resort on a mountain instead of the beach he thought he would be on. But it wasn't all bad because he met his mate Byron who was helping his uncle take care of the resort. Soon Bryon and Dasher were spending as much time as they could together. One day they went with his uncle to look for a Christmas tree and Uncle Louie collapsed. In a quick decision Dasher shifted to get uncle Louie to the resort faster to meet the ambulance. Byron was not in the least bit afraid and listed to Dasher as he explained everything. Soon it was Christmas and they found out they were expecting their first child. This was such a great read I can't wait for her next one!.

Love reindeer shifters!

I love reindeer so I am super excited that there is a whole multi author series dedicated to Santa's reindeer. Dasher is the hardest working reindeer shifter at the North Pole. But the Santas (yes there are more than one!) are adamant that Dasher take a vacation. This leads him to a remote cabin resort that has seen better days. Byron decides to head home and help out at his uncle's resort while he is between jobs. What he least expected was falling for the hot guy that's on vacation. I loved Byron's enthusiasm for Christmas and finding all kinds of vintage decorations. Dasher may have started off grumpy about his forced vacation but helping Byron and his uncle helps reinvigorate his holiday spirit. I liked how they both interacted with the guests and other workers at the resort. This was a sweet and magical holiday story.

I was so excited about this series (as excited as you can be about reading something as utterly ridiculous and fun as reindeer shifter stories), but this was a huge letdown. The writing was lazy, there was a huge lack of story and character development, and though the world was interesting, nothing was every fully explained.

Byron is a human living what looks to be a very common human life, unaware of shifters and then BAM, he mentions alphas out of nowhere. I have read non-shifter omegaverse stories, but this didn't sound like it was supposed to be one. He never once talks about being an omega, but it's clear later on that he is one.

Just super lazy writing and totally and completely underwhelming. I was going to read the whole series (and I know each book has a different author), but this really put me off.

A short and sweet mpreg story that is full of Christmas wonder.
The attraction is instant for both Dasher and Byron, but various things keep interrupting them getting to properly know one another. Once they start spending time together everythings seems to click into place easily, but there are some pretty big secrets yet to be revealed. Unfortunately, there is an incident that occurs that forces Dasher to reveal the shifter part of himself and a bit later, the rest of the secrets are told to a very understanding Byron.
Dasher and Byron find a loving connection and get their HEA.
I enjoyed the laughs and lightheartedness in this book and how everything worked out for them all in the end.

I will look at reindeer in Santa's Village differently now. Dasher is head trainer for Santas' reindeer squads. He's as close to a perfectionist without being one as possible. He is forced to take a vacation before Dec 25 and by some extraordinary mishap, ends up at a mountain resort rather than the tropics he was looking forward to. He regroups when he scents his mate. Byron, is having the worse luck working for start-ups as their PR. When they meet, they are instantly lustily attracted to each other. Dancer, has several decisions and choices ot make as well as telling Byron he's a shifter. Delightful story, sweet guests and resort workers. Nice flow, nice environment, great Santas! Very nice cover art. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Santa’s head reindeer, Dasher, was working too hard on preparations for Christmas this year so all the Santas ordered him take a vacation. Unfortunately, his planned island in the sun vacation was somehow changed and he ended up in a snowy mountain resort that’s seen much better days.
When Byron’s company shut down unexpectedly, he decided to go stay at his Uncle’s resort and regroup while helping him prepare for the holidays. He never dreamed that he might meet the alpha of his dreams.
While not offering a big plot, this was still an enjoyable way to pass the time and offered a fun new perspective on Santa and his reindeer as well as the North Pole.

This was a cute and steamy story that will have you looking at Christmas, the North Pole and the reindeers in a new what.

Dasher is lead reindeer of one of the Santa's sleighs, with the day getting closer, there is a lot of work to get done. When the Santas "suggest" he takes a vacation - fate puts him where he needs to go.

Bryon is good at his job and like the excitement of working for start ups, but the downside is that they are not aways successful. In between job, Bryon goes to help his uncle with his resort, where he finds a bit of Christmas magic.

This was a fun story to read and makes you smile.

Byron’s job ended abruptly and to try to re start his career, he heads home to River Ridge. Helping his uncle, who is more like a father to him than his real father, is not a hardship. Keeping busy and taking care of the guests fills his days. A mixup in travel plans has Dasher staying at the lodge. He is Santa #1’s head reindeer. Being exhausted and needing a vacation, he is delighted when he smells his mate somewhere in the lodge.

I really love Christmas stories, especially ones like this one! Great storyline, excellent characters, and it made the story of Santa more believable! I hope you enjoy it too!.

This book was a sweet holiday mm romance. It's part of the omegaverse, with mpreg and instalove for the fated mates. The take on Christmas and how it works at the north pole was very intriguing and actually makes much more sense than the traditional theory of santa.

My issues were small, such as the age of Dasher and Byron. In the beginning it was implied Dasher was older but then randomly he said he was 19 and Byron mentioned he looked middle age, but then it was never mentioned again. Byron's age was never mentioned and there wasn't much about either of their appearances. If it weren't for the cover of the book, I wouldn't know what Dasher looked like. But those are little things.

Overall, it was sweet and cozy, with spice and romance galore. A good Christmas romance read.

Dasher (reindeer shifter) and Byron (human) story was interesting, quirky, hilarious and with a dash of holiday magic and cheer.
It was sweet and endearing seeing how they meet and connect, the Christmas magic and all the traditions, the welcoming family, as well as al the shenanigans and events that leads to their happy family.
I liked the way he reacted to his partner being a shifter, to his job and in discovering the meaning of mates.
I really adored the ball of fluff, the uncle attempts at being a matchmaker, and all the surprises they get along the way, including the bundle of joy that joined them.
I really loved the story and I'm looking forward to see what happens next.

First book in this series and I enjoyed it. Within the omegaverse this is an unique take on the Santa and his reindeers with elves. Dasher is the head reindeer and needed a vacay...badly. A mixup that I will call fate, landed him at Byron's uncle resort. All kinds of shenanigans occur while Dasher and Byron fumble through the mating call and ultimately have their HEA. Not a lot of angst but more sweet than anything. I will say, I love Dasher and his beast relationship...their banter was straight entertainment. Very good start to a very nice holiday series.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
