4.5 stars!

This was a fantastic and emotional fated mates novella. Nick believes that he is unlovable and is hindered by a past that he could not control, while Remy has been beaten down and disrespected throughout her entire life. Both Nick and Remy must fight to overcome their traumatic pasts if they want a chance at a long-lasting future with their mates, but the journey to redemption and acceptance is harder than either anticipated. I loved how supportive and patient Nick and Remy were with one another as they slowly learn to accept happiness into their lives. Nick and Remy's story was one of healing and filled with plenty of steam, and I look forward to more from this author🖤

Part of the Gold Creek Wolves series each can be read on its own but why is the question with sexy shifters and the one who captures his attention. Nick a sexy as all get out shifter not just any type of shifter but a Delta wolf meaning he can feel, manipulate other’s emotions, he was in the military for a while but didn’t like what he did there blames himself for a lot that didn’t go as planned so he prefers to be alone not using his skill set at all and have condemned himself to living alone never imagining he would find his mate. Remy is a sweetheart even after being held captive forced to breed, abused, watched other she wolves be abused but couldn’t stop it by her being a submissive her abuse wasn’t as badly and yet her trauma wasn’t any less trying to deal with it, so she stays in her wolf it allows her to feel safe. Nick’s alpha asked him to help the women at the safehouse never did he expect to find his mate feeling everything she has felt/feeling who has been abused and her wolf refusing to give back control to her human. Taking her home with him to try and talk her to giving back control but it is an uphill battle, will she trust him enough to receive help, once she finds out what he can do she isn’t sure if can trust him feeling like he is manipulating her, will he convince her to trust him, and can they both find a little peace from their past with a little happiness?

NICK is a delta wolf, able to manipulate minds. He spent years in a special military unit using his power to get information from terrorists. Now he's a civilian and keeps himself apart from others. As a delta most other shifters are a little squeamish around him. Then he's called by an alpha for help. When he goes to the safe house he finds a red she wolf curled into a ball. His wolf recognizes her for who she is to him---mate. REMY is a submission wolf and had spent about a year as a prisoner of a set of wolves who were kidnapping strong female wolves to breed with them. She was the servant and the one they would take their frustrations out on her by beating up on her. Now Nick has to keep his possessive side and need to claim her down to zil so he can help her. Will he be able to help her? Will she be able to get past the horror she's seen? Will he get past his inclination to claim her or his past that he regrets?
Fantastic story that will touch the reader's heart.

Another delicious addition to the Gold Creek Wolves series. I absolutely love these novella stories! So good, so hot and yet so achingly sweet. Nick is a Delta wolf which means he can feel and even manipulate other people’s emotions. He holds a lot of self loathing for what he did in the military and prefers to be a loner because of it. Remy is a recently rescued she-wolf from a captive forced breeding den. She is a submissive wolf who was able to avoid the worst of the atrocities but was traumatized from her abuse and inability to help the other women. I love stories where two people are able to help the other heal and find the happiness they think they don’t deserve. Such a great evening read!.

When Nick is called by his Alpha to assist with the wolves that have been abducted by Marcus’s breeding ring he is hesitant to go. He knows what the women have been through, and knows what his alpha is requesting of him to do. What he doesn’t expect when he gets to the safe house is to find a submissive wolf that is still in wolf form and is his mate. He immediately is hit with her pain, fear, and uneasiness. Nick takes her back to his cabin still in her wolf form. Remy wakes up in a different place from the safe house and the gorgeous wolf from last night is around, she can sense it. Remy can’t figure out what kind of wolf Nick is. He doesn’t give off the vibe of any kind of wolf she ever has encountered, but that is a mystery for another day. As they spend time together, Remy loosens up around Nick. When she finds out what Nick can do, she retreats into herself because she doesn’t know if it is all a manipulation by Nick. Nick doesn’t think he deserves a mate because he is a monster. Can Remy make Nick see otherwise?

Nick is a delta and Remy is a submissive. Both have traumatic backstories with no hopes for a bright future. Nick is called in to help Remy when she doesn't shift after being rescued a month earlier. He knows they are fated mates but he believes he can never have a family and children. She has not had family her whole life and the worst was just over but won't let shift. Loved the characters and how he went about bringing Remy back into the world of nature and peace, helping her through her panic attacks. The storyline was wonderful with deep emotions and strong feelings along with entertaining situations and vivid locales. Thoughtfulness, caring, and dealing with fears and dark memories kept the pages turning. The ending was perfect.

Nick is called urgently to a safe house by his alpha. As a delta wolf he can influence the thoughts of others. What he feels when he enters is horrific. When he sees the she-wolf feeling these thoughts he is infuriated and horrified. His mate!

Remy knows that she has been rescued from the hell hole that she had been kept in but she just can't make her head and wolf believe. When the huge, angry wolf appears it is the first time that she has not been afraid of an angry male.

Nick is tortured by his abilities and past actions so mostly keeps to himself. He knows that he should leave the damaged she-wolf but there is absolutely no way he can.

A wonderful steamy feelgood shifter romance about two damaged individuals finding their way home. Another fabulous story from this author.

A beautiful tender read!

He was the only one she felt safe with from the moment he took command and took her back to his home.

Remy had been kidnapped and abused and didn’t trust many people but something about Nick seemed to give her inner peace plus her Wolf was screaming he was hers!

Nick a rare species of Wolf knew the moment he saw her that she was his mate but being a Delta he didn’t believe he could grab the future he wanted with Remy.

The tenderness, love and emotions are felt throughout the storyline and will leave you feeling good as the story unfolds and keeps you reading until the end.

Sit down and enjoy this beautiful written novella which is Remy and Nicks love story.

I loved Protected by the Wolf Gold Creek Wolves. Nick is a delta wolf, they are different than an alpha as they can help control emotions. When he is called in to help Remy, he wasn’t expecting her to be his fated mate. He doesn’t deserve her. He will help her and love her from afar but she deserves better than him. Remy was a lucky wolf, being submissive means she wasn’t abused the way others were. She still carries PTSD but it’s different. Meeting Nick has soothed her, she thought they would be together but he’s pushing her away. I loved this storyline and the characters. They both have such deep emotions and it was really touching. I would definitely recommend this book.

Nick, being a Delta, can sense and manipulate other peoples' emotions. He's asked to help Remy after she suffered severe abuse at the hands of another evil pack. One look, and Nick knows that Remy is his fated mate. But can he let love in? And can she trust him? Both of these wolves have so much hurt and trauma. It was beautiful to see them able to start to heal each. The chemistry was hot 🔥 and we got an amazing HEA. I loved it.

Nick is a Delta and has been asked to help with a she-wolf rescued from Marcus and who has stayed shifted for a month. When he sees her he knows she is his mate but Nick feels he can't give Remy what she needs, a future, as he fears he is a monster. It will take patience and understanding from both of them if they are ever to have a future together. A heartbreaking story that will send you on an emotional rollercoaster as both have to deal with the guilt that consumes them.
A story worthy of ten stars and a great addition to the Gold Creek series.

Nick thinks he is a monster and undeserving of a mate because of the type of wolf he is and what he has done. Remy is a submissive wolf, abused and imprisoned by a pack that had her kidnapped for breeding purposes. She is terrified from the ordeal she went through; and the alpha that rescued Remy is hoping that Nick can heal her mental pain.
This is a really good book; well worth reading! It has great characters you can really get into, a good plot, and of course a budding relationship that you keep hoping will turn in to an HEA for these 2 lost souls! Enjoy!.

Nick was a delta that could take away pain and influence their emotions so he was told to help with a she wolf that couldn’t change to her human form but got there and found his mate Remy. Had decided to not mate so he wouldn’t have a child like him to be used by different people to do what they wanted done. So he worked at helping Remy get her human back and learn to live again after being held captive for so long. She asked for his help with her pain and he was told that with her he wouldn’t have a child like him. Good book!.

Another wonderful shifter story about 2 wolf shifters with luggage. Nick is a Delta Wolf and he is a very rare one. Remy is not having an easy time and is deeply traumatized and thinks she is not worthy of anyone or that anyone would want her. She is therefore submissive. Can these two troubled souls find support in each other and heal together and still have a happy ending together? An emotional and beautiful story that I definitely recommend reading.

This is a story that takes your heart on a wild ride of ups and downs. Remy is a red wolf who was taken and abused. Nick is a delta wolf who can manipulate emotions and was asked to help when Remy would not shift back into human. What he did not realize until he walked in, was she was his.

Strong feelings, uncertainty if the future, want, desire and possibilities - Nick and Remy's journey pulls you in fast and has you wanting more.

This is a stort fated mate PNR story.

Nick is a Delta wolf, meaning he can influence emotions. He's brought in when Remy struggles to shift back to being human after suffering under an evil alpha pack.

Nick was sweet but didn't believe he deserved a fated mate after using his abilities for the government's purpose.

The two feel comfortable and at ease with each other, but Remy feels manipulated at first when she finds out he's a delta.

Nick is patient and protective of Remy and they have a steamy connection.

Remy is a submissive she wolf who went through a horrifying experience. When she is rescued, and Nick takes her back to his cabin to help her recover, they realize how much they mean to each other. Both have hard pasts but they find peace and solace in each other.

One of my favorite scenes was the hot spring where both Remy and Nick could let go. Explore trusting and loving each other. My other favorite was the epilogue, seeing them both so happy with each other and with family.

I really enjoy this series.

This is the first book I have read by Savannah Sterling. I enjoyed reading it. She balances the story well. Not too much steam to context.
The story itself is one of redeeming and healing. Both wolves have a past that has been painful both physically and emotionally.
I look forward to reading her other books.

Another great addition to the Gold Creek Wolves series. I love how caring Nick is, Nick does not believe that he is a good man/wolf because of his past. Remy sees him for a kind hearted being that he is. This is a quick read, but I somehow feel that I read a full length book. Absolutely loved this book.

I like the idea of the Delta wolf... I'll be honest, I skipped a few books in the series to get to this one. I did think that the FMC came around a little quickly for her trauma and then forgave him WAY too quickly; for that matter, the MMC changed his tune a little quickly too. Despite that, I enjoyed the book. Great lunch read.

.They are grumpy, strong and lovable creatures.
