Notes on the Offbeat

An extravaganza of my photography, made largely whilst out and about in South Wiltshire and its environs, in pursuit of the aesthetic and the unusual. A pure indulgence on my part and the result is I acknowledge a very personal viewpoint, but I hope sincerely, it will connect with those that enjoy the quiet contemplation of some of the stranger things that surround us and who appreciate the ethereal and ever changing quality of remote landscapes and derelict places. Some words that these inspired. Since giving up on having a proper job some years ago, I have spent an indecent amount of time wandering around the middle of nowhere - and other places - with my cameras. This is largely the product. The accompanying ‘poems’ are spontaneous streams of consciousness based on the photographs. Each took no more than around 10 minutes to compose.
