I write diverse, body positive romance because ALL women deserve a sexy love story.

As a recovering yo-yo dieter who has struggled with body image, I channeled those experiences into my debut novel, Fat Girl, and its conclusion, A Naked Beauty. Sadly, I think most women, regardless of their weight or size, can identify with some aspect of body insecurity and self-doubt. I am inspired by the theme of loving yourself and discovering your own intrinsic worth. I want to bring my readers stories that are real, relatable, and entertaining—where strong characters with tough battles and troubled pasts tug at your heartstrings, turn you on, and have you cheering for a beautiful, forever love.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I’m now a proud adopted Canuck, living in Calgary, Alberta, with my husband and daughter. The winters are frigid, but the sun shines 335 days of the year. Tanning in a parka—it happens! Most nights, you will find me in my home office, or on those cold nights, in front of the fireplace, tapping out the many stories in my head.

Body positive romance

I never understood the appeal of ennemies to lovers but this book sold me on it. The tension and then release between Jazz and Leo was everything.
The character development and story were perfect. Their relationship developed fast but didn't feel forced and they weren't generic characters. Even the side characters are amazing. (I'm really hoping well will get to read Zay's story.)
We cannot forget the spice, this book got me blushing the whole way through.
As for the plus size representation, it is amazing. From bringing fort the message that fat doesn't equal unhealthy, that fitness can be valid in any form and of course that fat can coexist with beautiful and sexy, this book felt like an body positive, empowering romance.
I just loved it.

Just the motivation I needed

This was a fast paced, hot, passionate, instalove novella. I was a little shocked by the pacing at the beginning cause things heated up FAST, and I had let the cute little cover fool me. But sisteren, once I adjusted to the chemistry between Jazz and Leo I enjoyed this wet and wild ride. It was spicy, it was sexy, at times it was down right nasty and I was here for every fat girl loving moment of it. It was also sweet and cute, with a touch of drama that made for a quick read, but a still well developed story. I loved the representation. I enjoyed the writing. And I’m excited to read more of Leigh’s work.

Yeaa no.. sorry I wanted to dnf but I wanted it for my reading count so I powered through but it took me an embarrassing amount of time to get through it. Wouldn’t recommend, it was ok but the writing was just very immature in my opinion. And then you would think ok well at least there’s smut right? Wrong, well technically yes but it just made me cringe so hard it was not worth it at all. Her other books are intriguing me but if they have the same writing I can’t deal.

Curvy and Hot!!!

I loved this story 100%. As a curvy woman and professional dancer for over 18 years this story made me smile. I loved Jazz and her confidence ❤️ her and I would so hangout lol. The enemies to lovers was a nice fusion into the insta attraction that happens. It's was steamy and has a good message about body image and loving yourself! Pick up a copy now!

This book follows Jazz (Owner of Women Only Gym/Dance Studio and a full figured woman) and Leo (Gym Owner). They own 2 different gyms in the same town. Jazz has overcome many obstacles due to her weight/size. Jazz and Leo are irritated by and attracted to each other.
I loved watching Jazz and Leo's story unfold. This book is well written with lovable down to earth characters. This is a book with an age gap, hot hot hot sex scenes (sec toys and anal play) and a touch of drama. I loved this book, it was a fast read for me.

This was a cute, fast, spicy read. I wasn't expecting the heat when I opened this but it started fast and kept going. Leo was instantly drawn to Jazz even before he actually met her and had just seen her picture. And isn't that what we all want?! Jazz was someone who I think a lot of us wished we could be like - secure in ourselves and our bodies. And she too, was drawn to Leo right away. But she didn't let him get away with his attitude. Their banter was fiery, cute, angsty and so was their chemistry.

I looooved this book! Once i started i could not stoop reading.

Jazz is seriously life goals - she just embodies positive vibes and she is living her best life and i am here for it. She makes you want to love yourself and your skin.

Leo… feckin swoooon! Okay, Leo is sort if an a/hole buuuuuuuut thats just who he is lol annnnd once him and Jazz come together babbbyyyyyy his icy cage around his heart melts and daaayum Leo brings the heat.

If you love curvy fmc’s who are confident in their skin and are not afraid of living authentically and men who can drench you with just a few words then babyyyy this is for you! 🤭

Thank you Leigh for an ARC of this fun novella!

Say hi to Leo! He might be a little gruff but don't be turned off bc under that hard exterior, he's got a soft center that just needs a little nurturing. I loved seeing Leo open up and share his emotions as he got closer to Jazz. It gave us a glimpse of his vulnerability and the reasons for his strict principles. And when we met his family? It was clear; he was simply trying to protect himself. But it really, *truly* made me giddy to see him be sweet and gentle with Jazz. Bc who goes and buys every flavor of chips WHEN HE DOESN'T EVEN EAT THEM? LEO, that's who. AKA a man in love.

And QUEEN JAZZ. I loved, loved, LOVED that she took her success into her own hands and pursued her passion on her own terms. To everyone who turned her away bc of her size, kindly fuck off. 😤 Being fat is not bad and it was such a joy to hear Jazz describe how she opened her gym as a space for *everyone* to feel excited about moving in their bodies, no matter their shape or size. Can we get a "hell yeah?!" HELL YEAH! And seeing her advocate for her work *and* put Leo in his place? HIGH FIVE! Bc her fire meant she was *not* going to let him walk all over her... at least not without her consent. 😉

These two were a ton of fun! I loved seeing their tension evolve into passion doused with care. Bc their meet cute was decidely not but once they cleared the air, their connection was explosive with a touch of softness. I loved seeing them in quieter moments as they confided in each other bc that gave way to understanding and respect. They may not agree on everything but they'll support each other's happiness.

Oh, my days, Jazz is 100% life goals! And this is exactly why I LOVE curvy women being represented, it has given me more confidence in my curves! Oh, and I love how it’s reclaiming the word fat.

Where do I begin? Okay, let’s start with Jazz. I love her. She is feisty, strong, funny and empowering. There is a little naivety to her, (which creates a love triangle), but it just shows what a kind soul she has. Jazz has suffered setbacks due to the superficiality of the societal norms but that doesn’t stop her going after her dreams and being the body positive person other women need in their lives! 💖

Now on to Leo. You can’t help but adore him. He is strong, determined and naughty 😈 (I want a Leo in my life!). Yes he comes across moody & very serious but once you discover his story you understand why and see there is a vulnerability there. I love him. ♥️

There may be spicer books (only really dipped my toe into the world of spicy romance) but this was sexy as hell and ignited my desire for a future relationship involving toys lol 🥵😳

Love the ending Kai gets. It’s more true to real life, including Leo’s feelings towards him. I like it wasn’t just all perfect and smelling of roses.

And even though it has my most hated word, (irrevocably), I still loved this gorgeous novella.

I read this for the Diverse Baseline Challenge for the prompt "Read a novella by a BIPOC author." Since I've been reading a LOT of YA this year, I wanted something that went the complete opposite direction, so I picked this spicy little romance novella from Kindle Unlimited.

It was a short and spicy read. I can see where Carron wanted to give us well-developed characters and some B-plot within the confines of a novella, and I could see the care she took with both of her romantic leads (this is dual POV). The spicy bits were spicy and adventerous. The body-positive fat representation was also a delight to see, especially in a novel about competing fitness business owners.

Leo is a very open-minded gentleman -- almost a little too perfect. Jazz is a driven and talented woman. They both have a lot of instant chemistry and fall into insta-love. There is a moment or two where there could be some miscommunication, but they talk about it quickly like mature adults and move forward. This serves its purpose as a happy, sexy little dopamine hit without being too deep or too serious.

I tend to like my romance to be a little more on the deep and serious side, or at least on the witty banter side, so this didn't quite hit for me. But it was a fun, light, easy read and a nice palate cleanser.

This book has just enough meat for readers to feel like they get a full story. I did not feel like this was a novella. I felt like I got to know the characters fully and understand the hows and the whys. Jazz Legend owner of Fab Fitness gets an earful from Leo Foster before she knows anything about him. There is no denying their attraction despite the rough start. Leo is a straight-laced, by the book guy. He and Jazz are complete opposites. You know what they say. Opposites do attract.

There is one problem. Jazz met Leo's younger brother, Kai, first and he likes her. Jazz doesn't see Kai like that. He does not get her mojo running like Leo does. Unfortunately, there is some bad blood between Leo and Kai. Will either brother be able to handle the fact that Jazz has been hanging out with both of them? Jazz is kindhearted and does not want to hurt anyone's feelings, but waiting too long might cause her to lose out on a great guy. Jazz has a wonderful roommate, Isiah, that I absolutely fell in love with. I would not be mad if he got his own book. I'm just saying, I would read it.

Jazz and Leo are quite literally perfect. having a book with so much body positivity. Jazz being a plus size woman who used to dance ballet and is now gym owner and she loves herself the way that she is and the way her body is and is confident in that.I love to have that representation because we quite literally never have that in books and it’s always so disheartening when people write books about plus size women and make them want them to feel bad about themselves because not every plus size women feel bad about themselves a lot of plus size women love their bodies and it’s something that should be shown more so then it actually is more times than not. add that she loves pink and pink is my favorite color so like if she was a real person we would be besties.
I love angst I love age gaps. I’m very iffy with love triangles but if you do it right, I will read it and this was a love triangle done right. This book will always have a special place in my heart.
I feel like someone wrote this book just for me but they did an amazing job writing this book and I can’t wait to see more y’all need to go read it ASAP. It comes out the 31st on Amazon… So y’all go check it out

Started and finished this in one sitting. At first, I was a little thrown off by the accelerated pacing of events, but once you realized what this was intended to be, it got easier to go with the flow. The more I read, the more I come to find that novellas are not usually my cup of tea. I need more. I can suspend reality for a lot of really fantastical things, but insta-love is not one of them.

At times, I found the dialogue a tad hard to stomach, but there were also moments of genuine laughter. I also really appreciated the commentary surrounding body image and the FMC'S motto of simply finding the joy in movement.

There was certainly a lot of spice in this brief 167p story. Especially considering, aside from what was essentially a small 6 month flash forward epilogue, the events of this story take place over a few days. Again, I am not a fan of insta-love. If you're into that, this is probably for you.

It was a quick, easy read that kept me entertained for a few hours.

Jazz and Leo take us on an exercise (see what I did there 😉) in learning that being rivals is not always what you may expect. Sometimes it's so much better! Leo believes Jazz is taking his customers, and swiftly learns that is only true of his female clients who do not like such a typical regimented method of exercise and physical training. Jazz is the strong, confident in her own skin and abilities, type of female character who I love to read about. Not a wishy-washy weak female *at all*! I love how Leo changes his mind about Jazz, and pursues a relationship with her. There are complications along the way, which they face. Those issues cannot be enough to keep them apart and lead to a HEA.

This is not the first Leigh Carron book I have loved. I especially appreciate that she writes body positive plus size females!

My heart is bursting after this fun and sexy novella! There is so much to love about this story, I don’t know where to start. Jazz is a confident, fun, and charismatic fitness instructor, while Leo is strict, serious, and definitely a little kinky. When these two come together it gives you all the feels. This book is spicy, but honestly the feelings and emotions that unravel during this story had me mesmerized. My heart is still fluttering from the line “It’s only been you”. For a novella, the characters and chemistry are well developed. I highly recommend you check out this book!

OH MY GOD! my curvy rival was a wild journey to actually sit down and read while being extremely busy with college and other books. starting this book had me nervous but i'm glad things worked out between jazz and leo. the amount of spice in this book was sooo good since this book definitely beat some books that had smut in here. i didn't like kai but at least him and his brother are figuring things out. i would like to see what happens with leo and jazz since i wanna see more of there journeys together. i also wanted to see what happens to kai and his job as he discovering the job field. overall such a great book that i liked.

What a beautiful story that caused me to smile page after page!

Jazz Legend runs, Fab Fitness, a dance/exercise gym that supports and encourages women of all sizes, to be proud of who they are. And I love that!

Leo Foster, owner of a nearby coed gym, storms over when he finds pink flyers from Fab Fitness, scattered all over his parking lot. The conflict that follows is mind blowing!

FYI: The author is kind enough to include a warning that the sex scenes are graphic and gives you the option to skip the story. However, I just skimmed a lot of those scenes because the story was just that good!

WHERE DO I GET MYSELF A LEO???

Honestly I love this book and I’m so glad that I found her on Instagram!

There is so many good things about this. Pacing, plot, and it’s well written. Leo is a grumpy character that has a kinky side that he keeps hidden. Jazz is a body positive woman who is like the sun on a spring morning!

The spice is amazing and I really can’t wait till the next couple! I wanna see the woman that tames Kai! 😂😂

As a plus size girlie in the fitness instructor space, I enjoyed this immensely. Jazz is confident in her body and what it can and has done for her. She is a fierce independent woman, and I love that about the FMC. But I also love when she realizes she can lean on someone else, because she does deserve it. She never thought it would be her rival who she can't stand! Or can she?

It's a wonderful cute and heated book.
We follow Jazz who is a curvier,bigger woman,which as a bigger girl myself I can relate to,and she runs a women's only dance studio/gym and Then we have Leo who owns another gym.He is very serious but kinky 😉
Follow these two as u go through the banter between them and the attraction to each other..you won't regret it.
I love authors that write about the curvier women as it shows that everyone can find happiness
