Rate this book
Sadhu Sundar Singh (1889-1929?) has been referred to as “the apostle of India.” His Christian witness was one of faith, endurance, and supernatural activity. In 1922, his beloved classic At the Master’s Feet was released. The book describes a vision, in which the disciple asks Jesus Christ, the Master, for wisdom and the meaning of various aspects of the Christian life. Also included in this edition is The Visions of Sadhu Sundar Singh, in which the Sadhu describes visionary experiences about heaven, hell, and everything in between.

I did not enjoy this as much as "With and Without Christ". Not only do I disagree with some of his theological conclusions, I also did not feel comfortable with him attributing his words to God. He was not God, he was a very intelligent man who loved God, but that doesn't make it right for him to speak for Him.

Reading Sadhu Sundar Singh is a special experience. He is simple, but also intense in his view of God and the Kingdom of God. He was without a question a saint and a gift given by God to the XIX and XX Century church.

This book came into my life about 6 months after my son passed into heaven. It confirmed for me, the visions that I was having of heaven and encouraged my soul very much. It peaked my interest in Sadhu Singh and I went on to read accounts of his remarkable life which are very amazing. This former Hindu loved Jesus and gave his all for Him and seems to have died somewhere in the Himalayas - either as a martyr or on his way to spread the love of Jesus. I found his visions extremely fascinating and very deep.
