May your eyes be opened to the God who sees you, loves you, and brings you healing, courage, and mercy right where you are, and may you boldly knock and ask Sophia to open wide the door of your heart, so you may see as God sees.
Great read during Lent. The women from the scriptures included Esther, the woman with the alabastar jar, Ruth Rahab, and the Blessed Mother. The chapters that spoke the most to me were the woman with the alabstar jar-the only person to annoint Jesus, Esther-daughter of the king who teaches us how to be womanly and dress for the occassion, and the Blessed Mother at the annunciation-have we all given our assent to the Holy Spirit.
Loved learning about the history of the women in the Bible. Digging deeper on why they were mentioned in the Bible. Loved the opportunity to learn more and think about how my life could be fashioned after theirs. Gives me somewhat of a blueprint to follow. Loved the book and that each woman mentioned was written by a different author.
I wanted this to speak to me more than it did. It was thought provoking but maybe it just wasn't the right read for what my heart is searching for. Enjoyable and it can be read in one day or you can take each woman and read them on different days.
