Elisa S. Amore is the author of the paranormal romance saga Touched. She wrote the first book while working at her parents’ diner, dreaming up the story between one order and the next. She lives in Italy with her husband, her son, and a pug that sleeps all day. She’s wild about pizza and traveling, which is a source of constant inspiration for her. She dreamed up some of the novels’ love scenes while strolling along the canals in Venice and visiting the home of Romeo’s Juliet in romantic Verona. Her all-time favorite writer is Shakespeare, but she also loves Nicholas Sparks. She prefers to do her writing at night, when the rest of the world is asleep and she knows the stars above are keeping her company. She’s now a full-time writer of romance and young adult fiction. In her free time she likes to read, swim, walk in the woods, and daydream. She collects books and animated movies, all jealously guarded under lock and key. Her family has nicknamed her “the bookworm.” After its release, the first book of her saga quickly made its way up the charts, winning over thousands of readers. Touched: The Caress of Fate is her debut novel and the first in the four-book series originally published in Italy by one of the country’s leading publishing houses. The book trailer was shown in Italian movie theaters during the premiere of the film Twilight: Breaking Dawn—Part 2.
The ending took me by surprise! I was not expecting that! I hate Iris so far and how she’s so hateful and completely messes up their mission. I love that they were able to go back in time and try to change things and see history. I love that they saw Melany and Hades and heard Ares and Aprodite. Hopefully they can convince everyone to go back to the peaceful times.
Nicole and Cade end up on a time hop to different events surrounding the Gods and Melany and the corpse king. They learn who he actually is and start to piece together his plan, but no one wants to listen to them. When they try to stop him, Nicole makes a choice that is truly shocking.
A great addition to the series! Cant wait to see what happens next.
I was hoping that the time traveler aspect would somehow bring back the only two characters I actually liked, but it was just another 5 minute read where little happens. I’m not sure if I just liked the characters enough to not notice how short these books were before but I’m just not invested in Nicole and Cade at all. Perhaps I’m forever salty about how book 6 ended but I’m not going to be watching for the next book to come out. I like the universe, hate the direction it took.

More secrets going on behind the scene than you will uncover in this book!
I'm still scratching my head after reading this wondering is Prometheus was in on the attack on Olympus. He might have gone to Olympus but he never gathered more troops. I don't recall seeing him fight. And it seemed a little to easy to kidnap 12 girls. I have my doubts that he's on the right side. The ending is shocking however I think that Nicole is pretending to go along with the Corpse King because she doesn't want those poor girls to be alone with him. At least I hope that is why she went along with him. I'm liking her more in this book. Can't say I blame Iris for what she did but talk about bad timing. I do love all the time traveling they do in this book. Especially since she got to see Blue. Wait till you read about Figgy, that's hilarious! I wonder if Dionysus ever realizes who they are? It's no surprise that they go back in time & find more scheming from Ares & Aphrodite.
While this book is still interesting to me and I’m dying to find out what really happened between Nicole and Iris, i feel like this book was a bit too meandering for me. The story picks up right where the last book stopped. Nicole and Cade keep flitting from one time to another. It does eventually explain why they are getting moved from one time to another but it seemed like a filler story. It did allow Nicole and Cades relationship to advance though. I would have preferred the story to move a bit quicker. And now we’ve ended with another cliff hanger. I’m hoping the remaining story picks up the promise of the first book.
Set up for the 9th book can not wait to get my hands on it! This book had every thing you need and more! Mystery, romance and intrigue! Left me hanging on the edge of my seat!
Nicole and Cade discover that Nicole has the power to time travel. They have 1st hand experience with it. They are trying to find out who the Corpse King is and what he wants. Nicole still hasn’t gotten her memories back.
