This is a great book to address bullying within the classroom, as it highlights the consequences as well as the form of bullying. It can be used within a PSHE lesson.
I found it very confusing, about who was talking to who. Perhaps that was the point, that the shifting of alliances among children is frequent and confusing.
'Bully' by David Hughes is a very brightly animated book about the complications of bullying, the mixed motives and the fears of being excluded in the playground.
It's very powerful and laid out almost in a comic strip. It has lots of onomatopoeia and is a great read where all the class can join in. This book would be aimed at KS1.
This book allows you to have an open discussion about bullying with children in the classroom. It opens doors up to discussing motives behind bullying and why people bully eachother.
Overall, it's a great book to introduce the topic of bullying into the classroom.
This book has such a wonderful and unique layout, almost like a comic strip which I think made me pick it in the first place. The sentence are very simple but I would invite the children to add their own conjunctives in, as well as look at the amazing onomatopoeia that is used. This book could create a great discussion around bullying within a PHSE lesson
