Snowed in for the weekend with her dragon stalker...
Ivy's cute dragon neighbor offers her a ride on his motorcycle when she needs a quick getaway after a bad breakup. Turns out, he's maybe been respectfully stalking her for years!
Will their holiday hookup in a quaint cabin turn into something more?
This bite-size festive novella features a monster hero, a swoony fated-mates love story, and plenty of cozy Christmas steam. It's just the right length to read while your pie is in the oven.
it was kind of cute but he was so in love with her and she was treating him like an ons plus everything was so insta love and i couldn’t stand her 👹 also he kept licking her instead of kissing and grosssssss🤚🏻
the only interesting thing was him being gluten intolerant🙃 apparently dragons produce their flames in their gut and the gluten tangles up the ignition system🤨 totally useful and true info 🥰
Yeah, let's not have unprotected sex with someone if even they don't know if they are currently clean from STDs or not... that's not a good idea. 🥴
For context, her (ex)boyfriend was cheating on her and she just found out, now she doesn't know if she contracted something from whoever he was seeing. This is Tairon's response because he wants to have sex with the MC. “It’s been long enough since you were with him that I trust it’s safe for us to be together," Yeah, no. That's not how that works... please make sure you + your partner are both safe before engaging in sexual acts. The Mayo clinic recommends testing both partners before engaging in ANY sexual acts (oral, anal, vaginal, etc).
I couldn't get over that little tidbit. Let's not do that please and let's not promote that in a spicy romance novella. Thanks! 🖤
Way too short 😭 The story is very sweet and I would have loved to read it in more detail. Unfortunately everything was a bit too quick and rushed for my taste.
This is a solid 3-3.5 stars for me. It was short, cute, and hit the spot for what I was looking for. I enjoyed it. Didn't mean to read the whole thing in one go but oops, I finished it.
Why not 5 stars? Pacing - This is very instalust, especially from our FMC Ivy, and even though it's a novella so I know it's going to be fast paced, I would have liked at least a little bit of lead up to the sex. There wasn't any - it was like, "hello, we've arrived at the snowy cabin and barely spoke to each other, let's fuck." At least do some flirting or something first? Then, at the end, it felt like the buildup was kind of cut off abruptly to switch to a time skip HEA for the last couple chapters. I know it's possible to pace a novella well and include relationship buildup, worldbuilding, AND smut in it. I've read it. It can be done!
Character development - Tairon, our dragon MMC, sounds like a creeper. Now, I appreciate that his stalker behavior is apparently an instinctual cultural thing and apparently despite having some kind of intrinsic drive to be physically near their mate, he tried keeping a respectful distance, especially once he discovered Ivy was in a relationship. I also appreciate that he kept his direct interactions with her to a place where he thought she might feel safe, like a public place. It's fine that he remembered all the details and tidbits she shared over the course of time because she was important to him.
What really made it iffy to me was him admitting that 1) he'd sort of spied on her and 2) knew what her boyfriend was up to but kept it a secret. They have a very brief conversation where he says she wasn't ready to know and it works out but if this were in a different context (i.e. not a monster romance novella), I'd be absolutely pissed about a dude deciding he knew a) what was best for a grown ass woman b) about her own relationship that c) he is not involved in and kept the truth from her. Not cool!
Was this self-insert fanfic? Why else does the protagonist have the same name as the author? 🥴
Also yay for having on-page discussions about sexual health but the fmc admits she doesn’t know if she is clean or not but proceeds to have unprotected sex…… whyyyy was that necessary?
What a perfect cozy yet spicy story for the holidays! Makes you want to curl up with a cup of hot chocolate by a roaring fire and dream of your very own dragon mate. Another stellar story from Sara Ivy Hill!
good book, but lost a star because the slimy ex literally got away with everything
Honestly, the title pretty much says it all. This is a very cute holiday novella, but the slimy ex literally getting to leave amicably with half of their stuff is absolutely BS, especially after the reveal at the very end of the book. I had to take a star away because it irks me to no end.
The absolute creepiest stalker I have ever read about and that is saying something. Man was hanging out outside her house and place of work day and night, despite not living anywhere near it. The romanisation of this extremely concerning stalking is insane to me.
If you like a “I have followed you for years, know exactly when you get down and dirty with your boyfriend, measure how much mouthwash you use, pretend to live near you and park right next to your house even though I live on the other side of town.” MMC and a FMC that reacts to this nonsense with “OMG, I love you and this shows me how much you care for me.” Then this book would be perfect for you.
In the tittle you specifically have the words snowed in. However in the book, the two main characters are at no point actually snowed in. They choose to stay at the cabin and if the characters are able to leave the premises then they are not in actuality snowed in.
Note to anyone who doesn’t know basic biology like the author: Sexually transmitted diseases do not just go away in a few months even if you haven’t had sex in the meantime. Do yourself a favour and get tested, especially after learning that your boyfriend has been cheating on you for months. And please for the love of whatever gods are out there, always wear a condom.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book, and this is my voluntary, honest review.
“I see you. I feel your flame. You are known to me.”
Ivy’s horrible human boyfriend gets busted with another woman, and she takes off with Tairon for a weekend that was supposed to be a romantic one with her and the (now) ex. She is much better off with Tairon who has been waiting to shoot his shot. He does, and Ivy is the one that scores.
I want to be snowed in with a dragon. This was cute, and cozy, and Tairon was so head over heels for Ivy that he wasn’t creepy but cute. He wanted to make her happy, and let’s be honest, the ex could never hold a candle to him, not even a little bit (also because Tairon would melt it). Ivy has a very wry sense of humor that made me giggle.
I want more of this universe, with the tarp. ;) Also we hate James, he is not precious.
Snowed In with a Dragon is a cute, Christmas-themed short story. The characters, especially Tairon the dragon, are absolutely adorable. Books like this shouldn’t be taken too seriously – they’re meant to give a spicy feel-good effect, not to win a Pulitzer Prize.
The story itself is sweet, with a focus on Fated Mates. The dragon knows she’s meant for him and waits patiently. Yes, there are some stalkerish tendencies, but he is a gluten-intolerant dragon who rides a bike for crying out loud. Don't make this more than it is!
The main reason this wasn’t a higher-rated read for me was the pacing. A well-crafted novella can make you forget its limited space for character and relationship development, but this one felt rushed. Ivy, in particular, dove head first into a new fling, therefore not giving us a chance to see a character take shape. The story placed more emphasis on Tairon, leaving Ivy seemingly like a prop than a character.
I meant to read this a bit closer to Christmas but it was still a good read now!
Short and sweet, about a dragon who has found his mate and…watches her until she is ready for him. Tairon just seemed like sweetie pie. A consent king to boot and we love that in a male!
Poor Ivy gets betrayed by the person she loves but it pushes her right into the (scales?) arms of Tairon who is more than willing to pick up the pieces and show her how desirable she is!
Insta-love (kinda) and super sweet and spicy! I loved it.
There were some cute moments for sure, but there were also some cringey moments… and it was hard to get past them. So many things confused me about the Tairon, and not his stalker-ish aspects, but more so that he wasn’t be honest with Ivy about things. He should have told her about her boyfriend cheating when he knew it was happening. Ivy also accepts things so quickly. I just felt like their characters didn’t make sense and were only there to be fuck dolls for the story.
This was really sweet! An instalove, fated mates story with a dragon MMC. I would have loved to keep reading this one - my only complaint was how short it was.
What a cute romance, if a little stalkery (but in a good way I promise!). A fast novella with plenty of emotions and time went by fast when reading this.
"And his fascination with tasting every part of her every day, even between her toes?" THIS IS WHERE I DRAW THE LINE. EWW. I would give this book zero stars if I could
DNF at 50%. I would've stopped sooner, but I was killing time before a meeting. Even expecting a short, insta-love/lust read, this was disappointing. Just TOO instant.
Nothing original, no character development, no world building, no believability or relatability, no charm, no substance.
The only good thing about this book was the cute cover art.
