Not even out of the prologue and I was hooked!
Wow! That was one doozy of a rollercoaster ride! But I don't want it to end. 😪 This book took me longer to read than the others but I think that it was more about not wanting to let the series go than anything else. It was terrifying, riveting, seriously steamy (no really, it was CRAZY HOT! 💥⚡🔥), and kept me engaged. There were also some amazingly sweet and tender moments that made my heart completely melt.
Emilia turns out to have a very dirty streak in her that Malin cultivates. It's absolutely fantastic! Another thing that I love about her is that she's always been underestimated, including by herself, but when she can tolerate her own naivete no longer, she fully commits to do something about it. It is a joyous thing to behold!
There are a couple of points where I was nearly paralyzed with fear for what was about to happen. Knowing Maggie always delivers a HEA did nothing to calm my racing heart as she likes to sneak twists into the mix that keep me on the edge of my seat.
This is the series finale. I would've liked more on what happened to some of the Global Leaders but maybe if Kalim gets his own story, we'll get go see more details related to the fall? 🤔😇😄
This series should be read starting at book one or you will not fully understand some of the references that are frequently made. They all overlap and have a shared storyline. I've voluntarily left a review of an ARC of this book.

If there was ever a book series that I wish I could read again without knowing how it ended it would be The Behind Closed Doors series by Maggie Cole
This last book Risks of Temptation is the icing on top of a chocolate cake. It bring the series back full circle and makes you want to go back and read the series again!
I didn’t want this book to be over and I definitely didn’t want the series to be over. Malin and Emilia’s story makes you understand the series completely. I love Emilia so much she is like an Phoenix rising from the ashes. She blooms before your eyes and she has the right man by her side to be able to do that. It doesn’t look like they will trust each other in the beginning but Malin and Emilia were made for each other and their love is stronger than most couples I have read about.
Yes, I am sad this series is over but this is by far the best series Maggie Cole has written in my opinion. You can tell she put her heart and soul into it. You NEED to read this series. 5 Star Review Risks Of Temptation (Behind Closed Doors #6) by Maggie Cole
Firstly, if you have not read the previous books in this series then STOP. This series needs to be read in order as the story arc has built with each book.
This is the final book in the series and is Malin and Emilia’s and what a story it is. The pieces of the puzzle and the clues that have emerged throughout the previous books have finally come to an explosive conclusion.
As with all the books in this series, Risks of Temptation had me hooked from the first to the last chapter and I had a hard time putting this book down.
The writing was strong and I was drawn into the story that Ms.Cole wove. A story that was dramatic, suspenseful and brings closure to a gripping series.

I must admit that I enjoyed every story, but the last 2 are my favourite: Axel & Penelope aaand Malin & Emilia.

The final book in the Behind Closed Doors series is indeed the cherry on top of Maggie Coles "Risks of Temptation" decadent cake!
Malim and Emilia , the couple we all have been waiting for, have to do unthinkable things to complete the puzzle and save the world from the global leaders plot! This reader was not prepared for how it all played out, but marveled at the strength and determination of Emilia and Malims undying support for what she had to do for the better good! A gamete of emotions , hot sex , undying love, and heartache fill each page as the plot is addressed .
In my opinion , this is Maggie Cole's most intense and best work yet! Honestly this is the third time I have read this complete series and I would not hesitate to read it again!
Stand alone, I Think Not to get the full effect of this dark and intense plot that wraps up in Risks of Temptation .

Book six, and it’s still going strong, the plot is still just as engaging. The characters are all convening to the same spot. This is going to be a shocker, and I wasn’t prepared for this at all!!
How do I review this book without giving anything away?
As you know the previous five books spent a lot of time repeating scenarios (just with different people) it wasn’t until half way though the book we would see them doing something different.
This book had a few of those elements, but we spend so much more time with Emilia and Malin.
Malin is a soldier working for Interpol, his job is to rescue hostages and to defuse hostile situations.
But there is also a secret that Malin can’t tell his brothers in arms.....
Emilia is sister to Naomi (book 1: Depths of Destruction) not a reporter, she teaches English to Spanish children.
Shy, quiet and sensitive, Emilia is scared of her own shadow (an incident in her past) but being with Malin shows us another side of Emilia, and it’s one I never saw coming.
They were never meant to meet! Emilia was in the wrong place at the wrong time! An unknown and dangerous variant that Malin had never factored into this scenario. So for everyone’s peace of mind (well his really) Emilia needed to be reunited with her sister Naomi as quick as possible.
But spending time with each other brings them both a sense of peace that neither have felt in a long time, and that’s dangerous! Letting your guard down even for a minute can get people killed!
This was saving the best till last! It brings this awesome series to an explosive finish. All loose ends are tied up, and all the explanations all make sense now. We see why this book was broken down into bite size pieces, to explain all of this in one book would have been a mistake.
This series is definitely needing to be read in order as each book gives you just a bit more of the puzzle. This book puts the pieces together and lets you see the whole picture.
And at first I really wasn’t sure! The beginning sounded so ominous, had we all got it wrong, were we looking at the wrong people? I really did question myself!
All the women had faced abuse in one form or another, all their stories were dark and sad. Emilia’s was sad, but so empowering too, to take back her choices, to have a say in her life that had to have helped her overcome her own fears and her own self worth.
This one was the darkest, the most twisted, but the one who knows will have you breathless with anticipation.
So can Malin and Emilia end the reign of terror that the Global Leaders have in store for the world? Or will it all just be too much?
Highly recommend this book and this series.

Book six of the Behind Closed Doors Series does so much more than tie up all of the ends in this tale. It takes you to dark places hoping to come out in one piece. It is a nonstop ride of emotion and danger and love and happiness. Emilia starts out as a scared and scarred woman who cannot stand the touch of others. Malin is the strong career military man with a big secret that even his "brothers" do not know. In the beginning Malin just wanted to shield and protect Emilia, but soon enough she understood her role in their relationship. Although it seems he would have to break her in order for both of them to survive, it becomes obvious to me that he may not have broken her but instead he awakened her. Will the risks of temptation make them stronger together or break them apart? This was the perfect ending to this series, it shares everyone's HEA, but only after you as the reader are pushed to your limits in every possible way. Perfection exists in us. But only together.

Book 6 in this fantastic series has the emotional roller coaster the other books have. It is full of action, romance and intrigue. It's the finale to The Behind Closed Doors series and while it it takes you down a dark path of sin, lust and intrigue it has you not wanting to put the book down.
This is a series not to be missed. Do yourself a favour and read this series and all others books by a great author in Maggie Cole.

This book is the 6th and last in the Behind Closed Doors series. Let me first say that it has taken me a couple of days before writing this review to just digest and sort out everything that happened in this book, and in this series. My feelings were all over the place and just thinking about how masterful Maggie Cole is to come up with such an emotional, intriguing storyline with characters that just ooze sex appeal. The plot was like none other that I have read. There was suspense, sexy alpha Interpol agents, beautiful strong women, drug lords and twists and turns to the story that I never saw coming. Just when I'd think I had it figured out...BAM! An unexpected event or character would just blow my mind. Please read this series in order to be able to follow the plot and to get the full effect. Believe me, you won't be sorry!

I cannot believe the Behind Closed Doors (BCD) series is complete. What a emotion filled ride Maggie Cole took us on. After finishing the 6th and final book, Risks of Temptation, I felt kind of lost. There were several times while reading the book that I stopped and put it down just so I wouldn't get to the ending so fast! We get Malin and Emilia's story and Maggie delivered all that I expected. Their story was intense, suspenseful, full of ups and downs and was a little on the darker side in the romance department. We see Emilia grow and begin living again through out the story, with the help of our super alpha hero! Global leader are brought down, our questions are answered and the final pieces of the puzzle are laid in place very carefully. Maggie pulls all your emotions out of you and twists them up and gives them back....And you say Thank you to her for giving you this gift. I am sad to see this end, but I know what she has planned next will be just as exciting and unexpected.

Maggie Cole saved the best for last!!! Reading this series will take you on a rollercoaster of emotion that you could never imagine. After I finished this book, I was speechless, left feeling emotional, and sad that the story had come to an end. It took days for me to be able to pick up another book because I could not get Emilia and Malin out of my head. There are many amazing authors out there, but Maggie is one of a kind. Her books feel real and alive like you are taking this journey with the characters, and everything is truly happening.
As you read Emilia and Malin's story, you will be taken on a dark, passionate, and intensely emotional journey. All of the female characters in this series have been through hell and survived, but Emilia has been through so much more and still has such strength and a compacity to love that is astounding.
Maggie definitely put a spin on this story I did not see coming, but the pieces to the puzzle all come together, and WOW!

Pandora's Box opened. She got a taste of things she never had before. Then she needed more... a quote from the book and exactly how I felt once I had read this series. Each book was something completely new and entirely wonderful. Maggie has found a way to give us a happy ending for each couple while opening our eyes to a mind-blowing new world of possibilities.
The steam, the love, the drama and the fight from each story is enough to keep us begging for more.
I'm devastated that the series is over, but I can't wait to see what is next in the world of Maggie Cole!

What a finale! Risks of Temptation the final book in the Behind Closed Doors series did not disappoint! Malin has an instant attraction to Emilia when rescuing her from the jungle pit. Malin gives her the confidence she needs to break out of her shell and become a force to be reckoned with! Together with Gustave and Bernadette they help take down the evil of the Global Leaders.
This was action packed and HOT! It will also make you think that this scenario could actually happen. Did I mention its hot?!

This book was just terrible!
I don’t ever write bad reviews because everyone has different tastes and I respect the effort that is needed to write a book but really…
I don’t understand the high rating I guess it’s because it’s not for free on Kindle Unlimited so not many people wrote an honest review.
FC was the most annoying and stupid of all the books I’ve ever read, she was such a contradiction coming from traumatised sexually abused as a child victim, that has never had sex or even couldn’t stand human touch to a total sex addict with BDSM kink and it was in a blink of an eye just like that no in between.
She was horny all the time no matter the circumstances or even the fact that her partner wasn’t even comfortable with that, she literally begging to have sex in the room when the actual human trafficking and sexual abuse was thanking place … like WTF?!
MC in this story was just spineless and I don’t even know how was he was so in love with FC when her lack consideration towards his feelings or any other for that matter when she just wanted to be a submissive and have a sex with the collar on it was making him clearly uncomfortable and conflicted but at the same time he’s feelings towards her were getting stronger and he loved her more…
And don’t even get me started on that whole background secret underworld story. Just rolling eyes so much that hurts.
Generally writing was also really immature and felt like some teenager who isn’t native English speaker wrote it.

Holy smokes!!!! The 6th and final book in the Behind Closed Doors series delivers all the feels!!! This story follows Malin and Emilia. Their journey of love and trust while taking on the Global Leaders. They both are in way over their heads but their love and trust in each other gets them through everything.
There is so much steam and action in this story, I didn't want it to end. Maggie Cole does an amazing job of bringing closure to the story we've seen developing through all six books. Risks Of Temptation is book 6 in Behind Closed Doors series. Once again Maggie did amazing job on this story. This series Definitely needs to be read together. It is thrilling, emotional, out if this world steamy moments and world building series. This book was my absolute favorite one in the series and I absolutely love Emilia and Malin. The love they have for each other during stressful and life threatening events is out of this world! I can't wait to see what Maggie comes up with next!

Risks of Temptation is the 6th and final book in the Behind Closed Doors series by Maggie Cole. These books could be read as standalones, but all of them must be read in order to understand the overarching storylines. What makes these books different is that they are being told concurrently of each other, each with their own hero and heroine, each adding more and more clarity. In this last book, we are getting the story of Emilia who is the sister of Naomi (book 1) and Malin, another member of the Interpol extraction team tasked with rescuing the hostages. This book was on fire!! It is an insta-love/insta-lust romance with much more of a kink than the previous books. I really appreciated how Emilia, who was the damaged and broken one, was the one in the end that was strong enough to get them through what they had to do to take down the Global Leaders and save the day. I liked how she took ownership of her body and came to terms with her past. I also appreciated the complex relationship she had with her sister and the dynamics that played out between them as they adjusted their roles. The whole series was great. There was a couple of times it slowed down, but overall, it kept you hooked with its twists and turns until the story's final climax.

Malin and Emilia – Broken and Brave.
Risks of Temptation is the sixth and final book in the Behind Closed Doors series. It was the hottest, and most intense of all, and brought everything to a satisfying conclusion. Each book has concentrated on an individual couple, and this time it is Malin and Emilia’s turn, but there is an underlying and common plot thread that author Maggie Cole is tormenting her readers with, so you absolutely have to start with book one. Money and time well spent – seriously!!!
Six women, six rescuers, Ms Cole has the reader questioning every person who featured in the past of these women. We know they were kidnapped for the secrets they carry, so in Risks of Temptation, Malin has quite the story to tell, and even with my love of conspiracies, I was more than impressed. Wheels within wheels.
I absolutely LOVED this culmination of the series that Ms Cole pulled together for her readers. It is our reward for sticking with her and her characters through their frustrations of the plot, their hurts and their triumphs thus far. I can tell you true that this book is the hub that pulls all of the truths together. There is so much more to Malin and Emilia’s story, so much darkness, and yep, conspiracy theorists rejoice, she has done you proud.
I loved Malin. I can easily say out of all, he was now my favourite. His introspective voice gives such an insight into his past, and the more I read, the more I loved and admired the foresight of his father. He knew his boys and their personalities so well, and judged them correctly. By now, readers know who his brother is, will have met his brother’s wife and learned of their true cost of bringing down the corrupt world built by corrupt men.
After initially meeting Emilia in Book 1, she was a victim but did gravitate to Malin. By Book 4 she was a completely different woman and I wondered what could have happened to have turned her around. I could never have imagined what Ms Cole put them through as a couple; it was huge, and that Emilia fared better than Milan made me admire her more than I already was!
It was amazing, and I absolutely and without reserve highly recommend this entire series as great reading!!! 5 Stars 🖤

A great ending to a great series. Malin and Emilia’s story brings everything together in the Behind Closed Doors series and it’s done very well.
Malin is a member of the Interpol rescue team that went into rescue six women being held by Santiago Gomez, the Columbian Drug lord. He’s known these men for years and has been in a lot of dangerous situations with them, but do the really know the real Malin? He’s keeping secrets and it’s about time for them to come to light. One rescued woman will be the key to helping him bring everything to light and getting into position to blow the whole Behind Closed Doors planning.
Emilia is the younger sister of Naomi Salazar, an investigative reporter that has also been taken by Santiago Gomez, but Emilia is a game changer and is not expected as being a hostage. She’s a woman that hides away in her home, teaches remotely, and keeps to herself. Her sister is really the only person has a lot of contact with her, but when she climbs out of the hole in the jungle and the man standing there waiting to rescue her brings out a whole different woman.
I loved this conclusion to this series. It tied everything up and ended with six couples that found their other halves and found a way to take down the corruption in so many countries and make peace with who they are and find a way to have a life that they can live with someone that makes the happy and helps them heal from so much in their pasts. I love the series, the characters, and the strength that Emilia finds when she climbs up out of that hole in the jungle. She may have had a rough childhood that made her hide herself away, but now that Malin has found her she’s grown so much and found her strength and the power within to help him do what needed to be done. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more books by Maggie Cole.

I think it's going to be a hot minute before I read anything from this author again. Whilst this series was generally an easy read with decent suspense, the overly sappy heroes just got more and more irritating as the series went on. I was very bored by the lack of stakes in the actual relationships, and the plot didn't feel high stakes either because the high action moments kind of came out of nowhere and were resolved incredibly quickly. I think my favourite books in the series were when there was a bit of conflict in the romantic relationships, and when the women challenged the men a bit more. The books where that didn't happen were just very one-note. In this book, there seemed to be an attempt at Malin and Emilia having conflict and Emilia growing from a very scared and traumatised woman to one who knew what she wanted sexually and emotionally. I think that attempt at growth happened so quickly that it didn't feel like growth so much as her character doing a complete 180 as soon as she met Malin. It just felt like the man fixed all the problems in her life. I think this was the book that was supposed to resolve the whole worldwide conflict, but it didn't really do that either, which was frustrating. All of that happened off-page with Malin's brother, which made no sense after all the build-up throughout the series about what Emilia and Malin were doing. Also, I had thought that Emilia and Malin's story would involve a lot more plotting and scheming, but it was really entirely about their relationship and going to different embassies so that they could randomly show up when something important happened in one of the other character's storylines. I am still giving this three stars because it was a bingeable read and Maggie Cole really stepped it up in the smut. But I was so incredibly bored...

WHAT a perfect ending to this series and am so happy that we had Emailing story last. This was such a romantic story with alot of suspense and action. I don't want to spoil to much but Malin is a French man who are the most romantic men in the world so, I don't I need to explain anything more.
Malin is a action man and he does rescue mission with the team. Emilia grows in strength with Malin patience & love. Their love is EPIC! Emilia past and the present events that lead to the Andre's Rescue Team to save the women from the pit has been horrific. She kept calling herself weak and she does try to move past, her past but it always comes back. With Malin his touch gives her comfort that she never had and with that and Malin loving words for his 'ma belle' she turns into this kick ass women.

Maggie I don't know how she does it. All the books link together perfectly cause each couple had their own adventure to bring down Secret Society of Warlords & Politicians who sell women and secret parties. Emilia & Malin is the last piece of the puzzle to bring them down.

The Behind Closed Doors series has made itself at home at the top of my favorites list, so while I was dying inside for all the answers, I was sad to say goodbye at the same time. The underlying suspense plot is built upon in each book so while there are different couples, you have to read them in order to actually get a sense of what's going on. I've also waited impatiently for Emilia's story for reasons that I'm not going to give away here since it may or may not give spoilers away. She's rescued by the perfect man for her, Malin. They just click & with her past, it was a miracle but also Malin allowed her to be free finally. There are a crazy amounts of twists that had the f-bombs dropping in every direction, super sexy times to have the reader in a sweat, and just about all of my questions answered (though I hope there's a book in the future which shows us some consequences for certain leaders), and it ticked off all my boxes. I'm so glad that I got the privilege to read this series early, and Maggie Cole has cemented herself on my go to list for the rest of time! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

What exactly can I say about this book, Maggie Cole is a writing goddess. When Malin announced he was part of the Global Leaders I was shocked at first but when you find out his true intentions along with his brother to bring them all down I breathed a sigh of relief. The demons he was dealing with, with lying to his brothers about what he was doing made my heart break a little for him. Then along comes Amelia with her innocence and his need to help, protect and love her is so sweet and enduring watching her come out of her shell into the feisty vixen she turned into was incredible, she was so strong and determined even when Malin was at his weakness and I loved it. I’m glad that the global leaders got what they deserved after what they put everyone through. I’m also happy that everyone got their happy ending as it is well deserved after everything they’ve seen and been through. Behind Closed Doors is by far one of the best series I have read. Once again great job Maggie Cole ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me ❤️❤️

Risks of Temptation is the final installment of Maggie Cole's fantastic series, Behind Closed Doors. In this book, Cole reveals all that has been hinted at in the first 5 books, as well as throwing in a few new twists and turns to keep us interested in the storyline. Malin and Emilia are made for each other. While their travails may not be as physically harrowing as the rest of the characters, they have more pyschological issues to overcome. This was just as steamy as the previous books, but in a dark way. My only regret is that Malin did not really buy into the BDSM scene after the Global Leaders were shut down. He never seemed to understand what Emilia needed from a Master-Sub viewpoint. Now I wish/hope Maggie will tell the stories of Kalim, Tinker, and Blaise and Sloane as standalones after her next series. She really makes you fall in love with all the characters, including the supporting actors who don't get their own stories.

This one, kept me on the edge of my s'est, from the first sentence to the last! I wish I could give more than 5 stars. This book is the final one. It is Emelia and Malin's part of the big story. I loved it! It was almost all unknown stuff, because we hadn't seen them in the other books. Emelia is the fragile, scared victim of sexual abuse at the age of ten. She lives a very sheltered boring life but when she is kidnapped by Santiago, her life changes. She meets Malin, the first man she feels comfortable with. He wants her from seeing her picture. Their story is not an easy one. They do very difficult things to try and end the Global leaders. Some parts reminded me of the initiation by Nikki Sloane! Yeah! Loved the whole series, haven't read a Maggie Cole book I haven't loved. I am sad to leave these characters. I really hope to read Kalim, Blaise and Sloan's stories soon!

I decided to wait until I had read the whole series to leave a review. I can say at first after starting the second and third book, I was having a hard time getting through them just because there was so much that was the same throughout all the books as far as what each character/couple did or said, it was al,ost like a repeat of the previous book just different places and people, but I hung in There and it starting getting good and things were changing and getting a little different. I can say that I just find how all of these couples fell in love right when they first met or the guys first seen their targets (military/rescuing), but I guess it can happen but I think that was one of the hardest parts for me to get past but they all seemed happy with the person the were chosen to keep safe. It turned out to be a really great series and I’m glad I didnt give up on it, lots of twist and turns the further into the series you get.

This final book is the answer to all your questions. It follows Malin and Emilia throughout their journey. Malin is a strong, protective Interpol agent who has helped, along with his team, rescue the missing women, but he has secrets of his own. Emilia is always seen by her sister as fragile and mostly treated as if she were a child. Their transformations throughout is inspiring in itself.
If there were ever a book series that needs to be made into a show, this is it! Maggie has a marvelous way of writing that pulls you in and has you on the edge of your seat wanting more.
Oh, and you’ll probably be looking for an ex military man that will tell you dirty things in French when you finish.

This is the sixth book in this series by this author. This is the amazing story of Malin and Emilia. This book brings all the books together while telling the story of these two characters. This book is the perfect ending to this series. These books are action packed, suspenseful, hot and steamy and very emotional. You won't want to put these books down once you've started them. This series of books have all been amazing, I can't wait to see what this author brings us next.

We have come to the conclusion of this series and it is a doozy. It is darker than the other books (that is saying a lot). Everything you thought before (while reading this series) you can throw out the window. Yeah, we get glimpses of what is going on but it turns on its head in this conclusion. I kept thinking to myself it cannot get worse but it does. The problem of the Global Leaders is eliminated and we can all feel safe for now. I absolutely loved Malin. While I liked Emilia and really felt her transformation, I thought it went a little too far. I won’t give away the story but let’s just say that I think she overcompensated for what happened to her early in life. I cannot imagine any woman doing what she did after everything is over. But that is just me. Anyway, this is a very satisfactory ending to a fantastic series. I read this as part of KU.

What a way to end this series! The attraction between Malin and Emila is off the charts from the beginning. Emilia in my opinion is one brave girl. She has gone thru so much, that even trusting a man is hard. Malin really makes her feel good. He calls her ma belle and tries everything in his power to keep her safe. They both go thru so much and have to do things you won’t see coming. This book is such a page turner with some steamy scenes. Can two people survive all they go thru just to be together in the end? Can they help take down the Global Leaders? Emilia has been thru so much in her life living in fear and Malin does everything to break down her walls to show her how a man should treat a woman.
