This book has well-balanced content to those who only have a cursory curiosity about established and famous “old-school” composers. The layout of main texts, illustrations / photos, and side notes, is good, too.

Unfortunately I read the Malay translation of this book and it wasn't done too well. Terjemahannya kaku dan caca-merba. I imagine the original English version would have flowed more naturally to the reader.
