Grayson is the third book in the My Story of Us standalone series.

In this novella, Grayson tells the story of him and his love. The story is told in a series of journal entries written by Grayson, addressed to the woman he loves. She has been with him through thick and thin, supporting him through his rise to becoming a famous musician.

This series is so darn good! If you're looking for quick audiobooks that will give you warm and fuzzy feelings, check this series out. Chris Brinkley is one of my favorite male narrators and he did a great job with this one.

Grayson struggles with panic attacks, and his wife is the one who rescues him from these attacks. From the moment they met, she has been his person and the light of his life. The way he talks about her in his journal entries melts my heart!

I'm looking forward to the rest of the books in this series.

I'm totally enamoured of Chris Brinkley as a narrator and author.

This is the 3rd in his "My Story of Us" books. Grayson is a musician, not committed to a career as a musician yet, still working with his brother in the family business. But he's never come to grips with the panic attacks he gets - until he meets "her" and starts figuring out how to achieve everything that's truly important to him. Music as a career, maintaining a relationship with his family, and love with the woman who supports and loves him through the journey.

It's a very quick read and I 100% recommend listening to the audio version along with reading the book.

Grayson has been struggling with his mental health for some time and it finally catches up with him the weekend of his friend’s wedding. He begins to journal the feelings and experiences surrounding his anxiety along with the events of meeting the woman that would ultimately lead him to find the help he needs.

My Story of Us: Grayson is the third book in the My Story of Us series. It can be read as a stand-alone but as the series does cover a group of friends, there is some overlap. This novella is just shy of 100 pages. (The audio runs just over 2 hours.) Content/Trigger Warning - There is discussion of anxiety throughout the book including an “on page” anxiety attack.

This book has one of the most genuine depictions of an anxiety attack that I have come across in a romance book. The MCs journey from “what is happening to me?” to an actual diagnosis is both raw and realistic. There is a lot of emotional labor thrown onto the unnamed FMC, especially in the beginning when Grayson is still processing everything.

I highly recommend the audio as the whole series is best suited to be listened to. I do suggest listening to it at standard/1x speed though. There are sound effects and background noises added throughout that don’t sound quite right if the audio is sped up.

Although there is a romantic element to this story, the majority of the book is focused on Grayson’s personal growth and health journey. As someone who struggles with anxiety, I appreciate the thoughtful way in which the MCs struggles are shown.

Overall, Grayson’s book is a nice addition to the My Story of Us series. I look forward to seeing which friend’s story we get next.

So sweet!

All of the My Story of Us books have been so sweet and inspiring. Inspiring because the characters are dealing with real-world problems and doing some major self-reflecting which in turn makes you, the reader, do the same. I love Chris Brinkley’s storytelling and his narration is so spot on. He emotes so well that I feel exactly what the characters are feeling. When Grayson was having a panic attack, I felt like I could be having one too.

Thank you, Chris for this story! Can’t wait for the next one.

The first person journal- style writing in this series creates a very intimate look into each MCs life. It's a full production that goes beyond the vocal performance and makes for a richer experience. The flow is gentle and easy like a lazy river. Grayson's story includes battles with mental health issues and family working relationships as his romatic relationship develops. I'm a huge fan of Chris Brinkleys performances and his foray into authorship is delightful.

Thoroughly enjoyed this concept of a relationship diary. In Grayson's story we get to see the growth of a new relationship which spurs on a lot of personal growth for the character. The romance is fade to black and swoony. Great read.

Loved this male POV written in epistolary style. Chris Brinkley. 1st person POV.
Very sentimental. It's like a valentine in a short story.
I love everything that Chris writes and narrates.

My Story of Us: Grayson is amazing. (Most definitely best listened to versus just reading it. It’s an entire production and performance and not just written word) I love the realness of Grayson, his struggles and striving to overcome them with the help of his lady love. It was so full of emotion, and personal turmoil that makes it very relatable as someone who struggles with panic attacks. Definitely recommend this book!! Chris Brinkley has a way with words, and performing his own work gives it an added layer making you feel as if you’re playing a part in the storyline.

Another wonderful tale of finding hope and purpose in the most unlikely places. You just have to be open to hope and willing to jump.
