In the aftermath of the battle at the estate, Aly, Jax, Cole and Hawk had no other choice but to relocate to Jax’s safe house- a one room hunting cabin at the southern end of the lake.
It’s been one month...
Since then,
Aly has been battling frequent nightmares as a result of her abduction.
Hawk has turned rabid, restlessly pacing his proverbial cage, desperately seeking an outlet.
Jax is on the verge of implosion. His lack of stability, and the sense of him losing the title of protector, overtaking his mind.
Cole is in the middle of all of them, trying everything in power to hold his family together. Even diving into the hidden pit of his past to conjure up a possible solution to all of their problems.
Can trust, intimacy and eighty meters of nylon rope be the key to fixing everything?
We’ll see...
Winter has come for Aly and her Devil Dogs.
Author's Apricity is the second book in the Devil Dog's of the Apocalypse Series. It's a winter novella set to continue where Purgatory left off and to prepare you for the insanity about to come in book three. Be forewarned, this novella is still intended for readers 18+. Triggers are as Vulgar Language, Graphic Sexual Content, Anxiety attacks, Death, BDSM, Primal Play – chasing, Shibari, Restraints, Suspension, Sensory Deprivation, Degrading praise, Rough BJs, DP, Edging, Forced Orgasms Discussion, by way of education, of scat play, gun play, sounding, branding, infantilism, mummification, pony play, necrophilia, lust murder (none of which are actually performed on or off page but simply addressed in an educational manner)
Hi there! Nikki here. Mother of three, wife to a husband that is too sexy for his own good, and a self-published indie author that likes to let my insanely kinky mind let loose and have fun. Apart from reading and writing romance, I also like to cook, rock climb and, during the warmer months, spend as many of my days as I can out in the sun.
I loved this cute little insight into the group! I think a continuation right from where book 1 ended was very Much appreciated! I hate when sequels to books skip so far ahead so I appreciated this glimpse into what happens after the first book! Also… the SPICE 😉
I adore these characters, each one has their own vibes but they are all necessary parts of their relationship. I enjoy in-between books sometimes since it allows the 2nd book to get going. It's always a little wonky when there is a jump or character development between books that you never see and you are left wondering what happened. So this book was very much appreciated!!! Can't wait for book 2!!
This book made absolutely no sense in the timeline since they left the cabin at the end of the first book but yet were back in the cabin a month after the estate blew up. There’s no explanation on why they are back at the cabin. It’s like they haven’t left yet which really fucks up the timeline. Aside from that tho the relationship developments in this little book are worth the read. Cole is everything! Still not enough detailed zombie interactions.
This was a perfect novella. When I read the first page, that gave insight on this novella, I was ecstatic. There is a HUGE reason why the author decided to 'back track' into further insight on the time frame that she did. And it was all the things I needed. There is a plot happening in this series, and it is further explained in this which I definitely needed. If you read the first three books, you will 100% understand the importance of this once. Your heart will thank you, I was hoping in book two that this information would re appear and sure enough it did. But don't get it wrong, there is all the spice you need just like the rest of the series.
An inside look at personal journeys. With the all important reminder that it really is ok to explore and set limits just don’t “tick somebody else’s yum”. Add in the survivalist plot and the overwhelming aspect of handling the breakdown of civilisation. Overall makes this series well worth reading.
I liked this novella. I was laughing at the antics and enjoying the smut, of which there was a lot. I like the dynamic and all three of the guys but Cole is my favourite and he really stood out in this one to me. I have the next book ready to go and am looking forward to seeing where the adventure goes. Also dog is still alive!
