by Giacomo Barozzi da Vignola A reprint of the 1572 edition translated into English, with introduction and commentary by Branko Mitrovic
Vignola's Regola delli cinque ordini, first issued in 1562, is the most reprinted architectural treatise in history and Acanthus Press is reissuing this classic volume with insightful analysis, and commentary by architectural historian Branko Mitrovic. The commentary, placing Vignola's theory in its contemporary context, is intended to summarize Renaissance theories of the classical orders so that they are easily applicable to design work. No book provides a better background to the theory of the orders, again made available for the use of the burgeoning group of practicing classical architects and students of classical architecture.
Modern reproduction of a classic book. Original contents are good but I wouldn't go for this reprint as there's some distortion of the images on the page.
La digitalización es deficiente. Las imágenes por más que se acercan no son legibles que para el caso de un libro en donde lo más importante son ellas, no vale la pena.
