One of the best adventure writers
Once again the author blends the characters and Florida scenery into a story that you can't put down. Give yourself a treat and read them you will not regret the hours spent and finish each one wanting more.

It's a solid 3.25 adventure/treasure hunt hindered by hired thugs/assassins.
Logan Dodge & family are on a month's vacation traveling in Europe and he promised his friend Jack Rubio he would stop at his grandfather's grave in Normandy. In a local museum, they find that recent pages of his grandfather's journal have been discovered and they hint at a treasure he and friends located in the Keys prior to the war and planned to search for once home.
Upon returning Logan find's his friend Jack has been attacked by his fiancee's ex-husband, who's fallen into debt and owes serious money to the criminals he works for. His idea was to "take" his ex-wifes' business and try to settle some of his debt.
To get Jack's mind off of his injuries, Logan talks him into searching for the treasure and each small clue leads to another. Meanwhile, to get out of trouble, the ex informs his bosses of the treasure and they send thugs & assassin's to Key West to get the treasure first and one of them is an old enemy of Logan & wife Angelina. Victoryina is a skilled assassin who takes no prisoners when on the job and is there at every discovery.
The press is also onto the story and people are converging on the Keys in crowds that only hinder the search. It's got a lot of action, lots of bad guys get killed and daughter Scarlet who was out of town, returns to the Keys to "surprise & help" which only leads to her being in danger.
The good guys win, but there is no sign of Victoryina and it feels like she will be back.

Another grand adventure!

Loved, loved, this book. Just as his other Florida Keys Adventure books, this one grabbed you from the very beginning and never let go until the end. Matthew Rief is an awesome author. Can't wait until the next book.

How is it possible? The best one yet!
Binge reading the series, 20 books in, I've very much enjoyed every single book. But this one is the best one yet! I haven't gotten bored with these Adventures and have come to fall in love with the Florida Keys. Thank you Matthew Rief for brightening my space in the Cloudy Pacific Northwest. I eagerly look forward to reading the rest of your books!
