Bennett was everything I wanted him to be. Sexy, sweet, protective and adorable. He and Archer made for the cutest couple. I’m not usually one for musician romances, but this was done in a way I really liked.
There was some intrigue here but I felt like it was left a little murky. While it is resolved by the time the book is over, I feel like true motivation was missing. But honestly, I’m here for the romance so it didn’t bother me all that much.
Bennett turned out to have a dirty, dirty mouth and I loved it. Archer and Bennett had chemistry for days. They really did fit so well together and complemented each other nicely. This was a truly enjoyable read. I’m sad to see the series come to an end but I really did enjoy reading it.

I adored Archer and Bennett’s story!! It was absolutely instalove, and I was totally here for it! It was bodyguard meets country singer, and they were so good together.
Archer, lead singer of a country band, was being stalked, and was in need of protection. Early in the book he’s attacked, but isn’t sure he needs all the extra security measures. To appease his twin sister/band manager, he agrees. Bennett is assigned to lead the case, is quickly discovers he is attracted to Archer, but has no plans to act on this attraction. He’s a hit it and quit it type, not a relationship type.
Bennett learns that Archer is a relationship type during an early morning run, and despite his early protestations, he finds his attraction growing quickly. They decide to take things slowly, and date.
This was one of my favorite books in the series, even if the stalker situation seemed to be wrapped up a bit neatly at the end. I wanted more answers!

These two fell hard and fast. It was filled with trust and attraction. They were so freaking perfect for each other. I'd say "if only for that pesky, attempting-murder stalker", but that stalker is the reason they met and fell in love soo...
AND this book sort of introduced a new mm series that Laura is working on, so win-win-win. ;)

Great bodyguard romance
This was a great story featuring a country musician and his bodyguard. Due to unforeseen reasons, Archer signs a contract with the Hunter Security group and Bennett becomes the lead on his security detail. Their chemistry is pretty much instant. I loved that both men communicated with each other from the beginning instead of dancing around their attraction and how it affects both their work lives.
This was the last story for the Hunter Security guys, each one getting their own HEA. I would have loved to seen a bonus ending of all the guys in the future, but none the less, it was an enjoyable read. Laura has a way of including suspense while focusing on their characters and their journey to their HEAs.
I’m excited to read her new series coming soon, we briefly got to meet the new MC during this story, and yea, so going to smash that pre-order button.

When Bennett starts Archer finds him hot and is very attracted to him but Archer needs a relationship and Bennett has an allergy to them and prefers hookups. Bennett has never crossed the line with a client but Archer makes him want to try a relationship as he breaks through his walls. Can Bennet keep Archer safe, or is his love for him going to be the distraction that pulls him from his grasp?
I enjoyed this story with the two men unable to fight their attraction while they tried to find and protect Archer from the crazed fan. The conclusion was explosive and a little quick as it could have done with more detail. I liked their relationship and I liked that they communicated all of the time. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.

I got bored.
Bored of the repetitiveness of "my man". and it's many iterations. Bored of characters with no depth. Bored of a nonsensical stalker storyline.
It felt like the author just wanted to write a cringy m/m relationship with a lot of smut (which I'm all for if it's not the same exact sex scenes repeated in every book in the series) but not actually tell a story.
After starting this series with a book I thought was a 3.5 or 4 (depending on my mood) rating they steadily went downhill. Characters that I wanted to like based on the blurbs but mostly just struggled to connect with or find any depth.
There is also a need for some editing, nothing heinous but definitely noticable.

The stalker thing is wrapped up with him being killed and a name. This was not done in a 'sometimes we just don't get answers' kind of way. It truly felt like the author just got bored and lazy and didn't want to write out any reasoning.

I enjoyed this story. Archer, a famous country musician, was drugged by a mystery fan. Enter Bennett, a bodyguard hired by Aria, Archer's sister and band manager. The heat flared instantly between Archer and Bennett, and both fight it for professional reasons and doubts about the other's feelings. The supporting characters were a hoot and kept the pace going. I recommend this story, and I will be looking into more in this series.

Archer and Bennett's story was adorable. A beautiful Instalove story that was sweet and fun. One of our favorite bodyguards falling for a country singer, OMG, I am loving it. They were so beautiful together.
Archer, who was being stalked and needed a bodyguard, and his team came to our Hunter's securities office and our dearest Nixon asked Bennet to take charge for Archer. The moment Bennett and Archer see each other there is a connection. They try their hardest to stay in their line but when fate decides that you are the IT person for others then no one can fight it. That's exactly what happened with our lovebirds.
With up and down and everything at last their love wins. I won't give any more spoilers but I will advice everyone to try this book at least once, it's worth it.

This was barely a 3 star, so many potentially fantastic plot lines tossed away with a rose covered platitude. I was disappointed.
Insta love.. check. Gay country music star with complete and utter support.. check. Great families.. check. Totally unfazed by paparazzi.. check. Another house fire.. check. Stalker goes from zero to deadly, 1st confrontation and it’s over job well done.. Double check. Shot in neck and goes home 2 days later.. check. No interaction with previous characters from the series. HEA very hallmarkish.

It's not long before they can't resist each other. But their relationship is embraced by friends, family and the band.
The emotional response to each other is warm to read and the dedication to each other is heartwarming.

I have enjoyed every book in this series and Bennett and Archer were no different. This book was more insta love than some of the others but it was more low angst and had plenty of spice. I enjoyed their communication and how they seemed to have known each other longer than they actually did. That connection made the book so enjoyable. Definitely a great, quick read.

Archer is a country star who ends up needing a bodyguard, which is where Bennett comes in. His company is hired to provide security for Archer and his band, but the two are instantly attracted to each other. When they decide to act on their feelings, it comes at its own cost because the reason Archer need d security is still at large. This book is a quick, fast-paced read.

Ok so it's now 1:41am. I couldn't put this book down.
I didn't see that coming at 82% way through. I nearly chucked my kindle with what happend to Bennett. The whole time I was telling myself I shouldn't have went past 82% cuz that's always when shit hits the fan. I was right.

Bennett & Archer
This was a good wrap up to this series. I enjoyed reading Bennett and Archer's story. I truly appreciated the communication between the two MCs and it all made for a good story.

OMG this book is freaking awesome - you get a great adventure and mystery that is page turning great - you get laughs giggles and ahhh spoil hot sex scenes!!!!!! I love all Laura Johns books/series I have read so she doesn't disappoint

This was a pretty good book. Although how quickly they changed their minds on some things felt weird. And the stalker’s change in actions was super drastic, but no one can predict the crazy.

Very well written. The main characters love for each other was evident. The spicy scenes were spicy. If you like the talk you through it. You will like this one.

I've enjoyed the Hunter Security series. Knox was my favorite of the four books. I did enjoy this one, but I felt like it was missing something. I definitely recommend reading the series as a whole, but each one is a standalone.

Super Sweet
The communication in this book it’s literal ✨chefs kiss✨. It was a quick, low angst, refreshing, and super sweet read. The side characters do not overlap the MCs but they’re all essential to the plot and are easy to remember. 4.7 Would recommend!

Tasked with providing security for the lead singer of a country music band, he is cool, calm and collected. Everything will go by the book. That is, until he realizes there is so much more to Archer than an assignment.
These characters are confident and slightly cocky, penultimate pros in their respective fields. Reading how the author forces their worlds to not only collide but turn on their side, was so much fun to read.
There is definitely some action, some banter, spice and nice in this bodyguard tale. I love how well the author writes banter between Archer and his band, as well as Bennett and his team at Hunter Security. The plot and overarching mystery kept the story moving. I did not want the book to end.

Bennett is a insta lust body guard romance with characters you love. This is the last book in the series and this book keep all the yummiest coming. As with the other books there is some suspense and action but the romance is what we are here for and this book gives us that.

This story was fast paced in all respects— the story flowed quickly, and the romance commenced even quicker.😆 I liked all the characters and the dynamic they had together. Aria was a stand-out for me. I loved Archer’s obvious bond with his sister, and I found myself more and more curious about her story as the book went on.😉 As far as the romance aspect, it was so much of an “insta-lust/insta-love,” I had a little trouble buying it at first, I guess. They definitely bring ALL THE SPICE!!🥵 Sometimes, I even felt another explicit scene wasn’t needed at the moment. Another bodyguard falls hook, line, and sinker for his client.😍 The suspense plot was interesting, with twists, drama, action, and emotion along for the ride. I can’t believe this is the end of the Hunter Security series, but I look forward to whatever comes next for Laura John.
