3.5 stars. Arik, the male dragon shifter lead, knows he’s found his mate in Ophelia, the female human lead. But unlike most other human mates, she’s the princess of her land and she can’t just disappear into his clan’s territory.

Then the next kingdom starts killing dragons for their magic and Arik thinks she’s betrayed him and disappears for two years. Ophelia knows she didn’t betray him and can’t understand why he disappeared but she hurries go bring him news that their enemy is bringing the fight to Arik’s people’s mountains. Disregarding her information, because his spies had kept him informed, Arik dismisses Ophelia into their mutual enemy’s hands. Now she needs to be assisted, they need to overthrow their enemy, and Arik needs to win Ophelia’s forgiveness.

This novella is dual POV, well written, and a fast-paced dragon shifter/human romance novella. I enjoyed Ophelia’s calm patience, confidence, and persistence. I enjoyed Arik’s care for her, even though I didn’t appreciate his assumptions and that he didn’t communicate with her before disappearing. I didn’t enjoy that he didn’t appear to significantly repent for what he’d done to her and their communities. I enjoyed the intimate scenes and the resolution but felt she forgave him far too fast.

I bought a copy of this book from the author at a local event this weekend and it was worth every penny. I loved the FMC! I love how she carried herself and her personality. She really is written like a Queen. Arik is a good MMC but I dont feel we got to know him as well as Ophelia. I would have loved to have gotten more sense of who he was. The spicy scenes were well written and fit into the plot nicely. Overall I was really happy with this book and could have easily read a whole full size book on this.

3.5⭐️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️Fated Mates✅Romantasy ✅Forbidden Romance ✅Second Chance ✅….For a book that was only 117 pages. I would like to say that it was written the way I wish all books are written. Spice from the very first chapter, enough world building and information about the main characters for you to imagine it in your head, and no extra fluff. The plot of the story was very cliché, and I felt like the chemistry between the two main characters wasn’t really there because it was very generic but still done right.

This book kinda feels like it stays in the middle. It can be a good thing as things are already heading up and can get more intense. The down side is that there is some catching up to build the world around the characters that needs to be done.

The author is able to do it, but I found some parts lacking in a clear explanation. Despite that, it was a good read.

Michael Gallagher and Leeann Woodward narrate this steamy shifter romance novella.
If you like it quick and dirty (talking), this audiobook is for you.

I'm all about dragons right now, and I'll never turn away anything narrated by Gallagher. This is a first for me with Megan Landon, and she delivered on the steamy!

I want more of this world, so I'll be looking into her other books to see if it's part of a series.

Arik is dragon royalty. Ophelia is human royalty. They are mortal enemies. But they are also fated mates. The humans are killing his kind and he thinks she betrayed him and sends her into their enemies path. He has spies to know whats going on and now he must save her. Great read.

A good start to this series Dragon's Peak. This is a new author for me and I am looking forward to reading more from them. The story flows well, easy to read. The characters are likeable and have great chemistry.

Okay if you like fast spicy talk and dragon's, then you'll like this book. It was a pretty good story, it was a fast pace and got Straight to the point. No BS lol.
