Lucifer, the God of Destruction, son of the infamous King of the Underworld, has come into a predicament that he isn't sure he will be able to handle. His power and anger grow daily, his father, Hades, believing Kronos is trying to inhabit his body. He spends days and nights torturing souls of hell but it isn't enough. Lucifer's desire to run to Earth and destroy every living thing continues to grow. No longer thinking his mate would even sate his evil desires, he continues to try and control himself on his own even setting up his own special spot in Tartarus.
Goddess of Innocence, Uriel was born of Hera and her mate, Michael, an archangel. Since her birth, they have kept her locked away, trying to keep both her innocence and a deadly prophecy under wraps. No one in the Celestial Kingdom knew of this beautiful angel-goddess until one day she makes a mysterious appearance at the announcement of a new princess being born in the Underworld.
Uriel steals the show, completely oblivious of stares and whispers, she eats her fill of cakes and sweets only to be recognized by a woman-hating god, Lucifer. Now Lucifer has to make a decision, take her as a mate or let her walk out if his life to save her from the destruction he would always cause.
♥This is the second book of a series but can be read as a stand alone. Considered an epic novel of slow burn romance ending up in steamy, innocent love.♥
Caution: This book contains, violence, fighting, sexual content and an innocent, naive female character. Some references of praising kink, and BDSM. Some Dd/Lg references. Not suitable for anyone under 18.
Anywhooo, this one was a romance story between God of Destruction (let's call him GD) and Goddes of Innocence and Grace (better call her GIG in short). The GDwas so dark and had a darkness inside himself that might swallow him whole if he couldn't find his mate. He was incapable of empathy and love. One person that might he might give something that almost resemblance to affection was his mom. Then again, that wasn't enough. The GIG, on the other hand, was as innocent and naive as she could be. Being sheltered her whole life since her parents were afraid of foreboding prophecy (something like the entire beings in every realm being wiped out if GIG died). His innocence was uncanny. Imagine a 10-year-old girl in the body of a twenty-something goddess. Yep (my favourite part was when she learned about the birds and the bees and what a female body could experience every month).
They met accidentally when the GD's family threw an announcement party for the new addition to the family, GD's newborn sisters. The GiG was accidentally there because her mom "accidentally" gave her permission to leave the house. So for the first time in her life, she stepped out of her house for a new adventure. Things then went chaotic when they met and the parents tried to make GIG come back home. The things went heck complicated as both MCs juggled between the growing feelings (the mating pull), the foreboding prophecy, and don't forget the parents.
As I said, this one was kinda different new plot compared to the prequels. For one, both MCs were the deities, 2nd generation of the origin 12 Gods. Second, there's no usual secret-of-birth plot. Fourth, there's not much extra coupling or side story like in the previous book. Third, this one actually far more hilarious that the prequels. I mean I seriously enjoy how the GIG trying to absorb the whole information about couples and the significant difference between females and males. Some chaotic things happened since the h kept asking questions that most people in her age deemed inappropriate. And it was hilarious. Vera really did a great job in writing her character. I enjoyed it very much. I think that's the biggest attractive point in this book.
Dual virgin Both MCs in their 20 something Slowburn but with initial attraction No drama/angst No cheating, No OW/OM Bit conflict and some kick-ass actions Dd/Lg dirty talk Safe read-ish, HEA, epilogue Overall score: 4.5 pnr stars.
Alright. Again I like the premise of this series. However this book was problematic........and honestly I usually look past a lot in romance....
Having a main character that is extremely sheltered and not allowed to mature is one thing. Having her then mate very quickly and be a clear submissive in the relationship and still act like a child makes me uncomfortable. Throughout the book her "lack of experience" and "child like wonder" being things that her mate deeply loves about her makes the book questionable....
I honestly get that the power dynamic needed was that she needed to submit to allow him to address his "god of destruction" tendencies but never growing up or not acting like a child while also being highly sexual is probably not the best call.

Ouuuuuu I AM IN LOVE with everything on this full-length novel.
This baby was LOOOONG AF but I still need more. Prolly my favorite couple on Vera's multiverse!
Safe 4/5, with both virgin leads! there is unwanted ow drama I love the dd/lg recipe! LUCI the hero is a character where he is so like hotly written. Like, OUUUU everything he does is soooo. I am in love with the heroine! she is so vivid in my head, A total Goddess fr fr. Her innocence is not irritating. I LOVE LOVE the world building and all the characters. They were written well too and not out of place and random at all.
From the jump, I knew I wasn’t going to enjoy the Dd/lg kink stuff in this book, but I like pushing myself out of my comfort zone, so I resolved to not let the kink stuff impact my rating if that was the only problem with the book. I really disliked the FMC pretty much the entire time, so it was tough.
The editing was nonexistent.
There are constant mistakes with tense, and the author seems to not fully understand how to differentiate a character’s thoughts from the rest of the text. Whole paragraphs are in italics as though the character is thinking, but the narrative doesn’t correctly switch from past tense to present, and the reasons for the switch are unclear. Here are some examples of paragraphs the author chose to italicize:
“Loneliness was the only way to survive in this world. Mates will continue to bring you down. My father, once known to be a monster in everyone’s eyes, had now softened into a regular family man. That was good for him, but I could never be the person he is now.”
“My mother was the one woman I truly loved. I would be so much worse if I hadn’t been raised by her. She refused to let nannies take care of me because she noticed I was different, noticed I had a sick way of destroying everything in my path. My anger, the tantrums, they grew so much, and she has yet to yell at me or punish me physically. Who knows what I would have grown up as if she had done that to me?”
“He looked waaaay too grumpy for that movie to have a happy ending, and I am all about happy endings.”
“It wasn’t my fault they had a mind of their own. They just flutter when I get really happy, and then when I get all sad, they droop like those cute little killer whales’ fins when they’re kept in captivity.”
So, it kinda seems like the author believes anything that is the character’s opinion should be italicized, maybe? I mean, even in these quotes, which are all copy-pasted directly from the book, you can see how bad the past/present tense confusion is.
The fated mates/instalove was strong in this one. FMC’s mere existence seems to immediately change the MMC’s entire personality and outlook on life, and this massive change is of concern to absolutely no one.
The mixing of Greek/Christian/Norse gods was pretty cringey. I found myself wishing the author had just come up with a billion fake gods’ names rather than read about Hera’s mating bond with the Archangel Michael 🤮
The book ran way too long and a lot of parts felt unnecessary or rambling. I was relieved to get to the end.
The Good: I really like Lucifer and thought he was a complex character and the way he was described was super attractive! I was anticipating that he was also an innocent so that was definitely a surprise for me in a romance read. I enjoyed the retelling of the 12, the gods, different personalities, and the mates just a fresh new take on these archetypes.
I did not read Book 1 in the Under the Moon God Series but still understood Hades and Ember's story. The author does a good job being able to make this a standalone. Hades and Ember were some of my favorite characters in this book and you could really feel the family devotion and protection written in the story line.
The Not so Good: This is a slow burn for sure, which is just not was I was looking for. While I understand Uriel is innocent and has been sheltered, I was a little bothered by all the descriptions of her small stature and frame because it was described so many times and in so many ways. It got creepy after a while because of how they inevitably get together and I did not want to imagine a preteen in these situations! The book was much longer than anticipated and I thought a lot of the dynamic with Loki was irksome because at 10 years old he is too old for his age and Uriel is clearly way too young and innocent. While she learns quickly how to mature in the bedroom, her antics in real life never catch up to her. I do not think I will continue on with the series.

What could be better than the mating of Lucifer the God of destruction and Uriel Goddess of Innocence?? That should give the reader a clue into the wild ride of their relationship. Uriel is exactly the right mate for Lucifer and as you see their story unfold.
Vera Foxx writes fascinating stories that are so engaging. She grabs the reader from the very beginning.

I was going to read this book regardless because I’m a HUGE fan of the author. I read the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book and was a little worried that their relationship would feel cringy. But I never got that vibe. In fact I loved Lucifer and Uriel. This was a good way to keep some of our favorites from the last book included in this one while we got to fall in love with some new characters.
The book was good, but the sex scenes gave me second hand embarrassment. And it wasn’t the sex scenes per se, but the adjectives that were used during the scenes. Like cavern, cave or meat stick. If the author would’ve just used regular adjectives then I would’ve been fine, it just gave me the ick when she used ones like listed above.
Again Vera made another fantastic book! Never disappointed! Loved the love she gives to the relationships not just the intimate ones but also the friendships. As always such a happy ending and hope we hear of Luci and Uriel babies in some of the next books! Can't wait to see what's next!
This book had so many things going on. It will definitely keep you on your toes. I read Hades first and loved it. I really wanted to see what was in store for his son. The beginning dragged a little but was better understood as time went on. I loved the scene with all the gods. I actually started to tear up a little thinking her life was going to end.
Lucifer is spiralling with destruction, Uriel had been kept hidden from their worlds. but when she does come out for an event Lucifer spots her and knows shes the one, but with his mind spiralling can he bring her innocence into such devastation. well written engaging drama action and more a great addition to the series.

Vera Foxx created another amazing book!! Lucifer’s Redemption is so intriguing and love all the characters!! She keeps creating a world I want to be apart of and stories that are so complex with characters you can relate too!!
Another chapter in the world of gods, shifters, and supernaturals. The next generation is finding their mate and opposites continue to attract. +18 audience, recommend reading previous books in the series.
I love the way Uriel and Lucifer leaned on each other and were able to grow together. The way everyone came together later in the book was amazing too. I can’t wait to read more about the gods!
Great nickname for the God of Destruction! Read this story in one day. Just like Hades and Member's story, I just had to finish it. Kronos, evil thru and thru. Thank the gods and fate he is gone. Uriel and Luci, perfect!
Oh my goodness! A great read of a love story is two deities, Lucifer and Uriel. Wishing I had someone in my life like Luci to love and protect me the way he did with Uriel.
Oh my god…. Amazing book. I laughed and cried at some parts. Muffin man…. Had me laughing until I cried. Best couple ever. So happy for Luci. Simply amazing. Thank you.
