so so much better than the first book of hers I read. I loved the character and her relationship with her mom and the love interest.

did I fully understand the criminal plot? no. but did I get the gist of it at the end? yes. perhaps it could have been shorter but overall I’m so pleased

Working on a newspaper in Montana, beautiful Sky Macpherson is bored by the small-town limitations of her job and frustrated by her infuriating family and a relationship going nowhere. Assigned by the editor of The Courier to write an obituary for the wife of one of the town's most influential citizens, Sky discovers that there is far more to the story than a tragic death. And that the truth may lead her to places she has never been, and danger from which she cannot escape.

I thought this was ok. It is about a journalist who stumbles on a story around drugs. This is linked to Ireland and she teams up with a Irish police officer to get to the bottom of this.

At the same time there is a rich man who is linked to the woman's grandmother.

i have to be honest, this book sat on my shelf for a very long time, and after i picked it up as a last resort i stand by my original instinct that i wouldnt like it.it is also linked to falling for a dancer but to a character that it was hard to warm to in the original book, never mind a sequel!

This was a very enjoyable book, blending fluff and mystery in the perfect amounts. It lost two stars for a lot of swearing and some sex scenes, but gained one back because I want to read more from the author, which doesn't happen frequently.

Why this author was likened to Maeve binchy on the cover is beyond me. This book was a decent thriller a good read for commuters, IMHO.
