This is what happens when the star hockey player for the Puckford Pirates finds out you’re a virgin…
My secret is out. I’m on the run. But suddenly I’m cornered.
By Mac.
AKA - Machine.
He’s big. He’s mean. He’s a soon-to-be pro hockey star. And he whispers to me that he’s taking my v-card. He doesn’t ask. He doesn’t offer to date me. He doesn’t earn his way there…
He just WANTS IT.
I tell myself it’s a joke. It’s not. Mac is everywhere in my life now.
Following me. Watching me. Even flirting with me.
(In his own way.)
He… wants… me…
Not only that, he wants to see what I know about… bedroom activity.
I know he plays hockey, but we’re rounding the bases faster than a grand slam hitter.
Giving up my v-card to a hockey player makes for one crazy story.
DNF @ 15% - this was really bad. No one talks, thinks, or acts like this. Every single person in this book (and there are A LOT of them 😵💫) are bizarrely obsessed with sex. It’s all they think or talk about. Both the hero AND the heroine. Yeah, Violet the Virgin is just as sex obsessed as all of her slutty friends and family. It’s weird as hell. And the way people treat her for being a virgin is really OTT idiotic. This is all these college students have on their minds? Nothing else? 🫠
Honestly tho? Thats really just surface level. There’s so much wrong with this - the writing is chaotic and info dumpy and juvenile. Every interaction between all the characters is OTT vulgar. No one has just a normal conversation? EVER? None of this is making any sense.

The writing was so bad.....jaysus crust. It went like dis:
He was so hot. And he is a machine. A hockey machine. He is a great hockey player. That's his friend Landon. He's a hockey player too. On the same team. He's also hot.
Fuck man.....this shit is terrible. I couldn't make it past the first two chapters 😂😂😂💩💩 it reminded me of fake it til you break it by Meghan brandy which was equally heinous in this type of writing style.
There was nothing I liked about this book. I mean what the heck did I just read? I saw this book read about what the story was about and thought okay this is interesting could be sexy in a commanding way. Not. At. All😳 I got a bunch of vulgar, foul mouth, immature, and creepy characters and I am being generous. The H was a stoic, hyper focused ,college athlete but could turn extremely violent for reasons that are weak. The h sisters and friends were trampy nymphomaniacs with no boundaries at all. I tried to finish this book because I am not a quitter but my gosh I just scanned through most of this book in order to see if there was hope for it but 👎 nope
Honestly, I don’t even know…it was…okaaaay. The writing was decent, the story however, I felt it was unnecessarily long when not a lot had happened. We don’t get much back story on both the main characters, Mac (MMC) and Violet (FMC) except that she’s a messy Monroe because she has a messy past? and he’s called the machine because he’s untouchable, best at hockey and never sleeps..and has big dick energy with one to back it up. 🤷🏻♀️
What bothered me was that he was fighting his feelings for her and decided it’s best to hurt her to protect her from the life he has (emotional and verbally abusive father) by sleeping with someone else, literally hours after taking her virginity. He decides he’ll sleep with the flirty slut bartender at the bar he’s getting drunk at not knowing that she’s one of Violet’s sisters. But don’t worry nothing happened, they just ended up at her apartment and she made him go lie down in her bed. if he hadn’t been drunk blabbing to the sister about being in love with the virgin violet the sister wouldn’t have known she was about to sleep with the guy Violet gave her virginity to and is in love with. It was disgusting and so unnecessary, it’s like the author had to make people remember the Monroe sisters are messy, well in this case the bartender sister is a messy hoe with a somewhat of a good conscience since she called Violet to pick up Mac from her apartment. She had no problem telling him AND Violet that if he wasn’t in love with her sister or that if her sister wasn’t in love with him she would’ve taken him for a ride to pound town. Smh, go back to serving drinks and zip your vagina. 🤦🏻♀️

An amazing first book in a series. Here you meet the Puckford pirates, in particular Mac (Machine) and Violet. Not your normal v*rgin and the hockey player. Take a chance, you won't be disappointed
Instagram ad got me again. Calling this juvenile would be an insult to young people.
At the ripe old age of 33, I officially am declaring: I’m too old for this crap.
I love college sports smut. I’ve never felt like I was too old to be reading or enjoying the storyline, until I read this.
FMC goes into a fit of rage and starts slapping, smacking, and screaming incoherently as she goes. I’m sorry. I laughed out loud. In fact, this has inspired me to create a new shelf called “Secondary Embarrassment” for every book that made me laugh out loud, and not in a good way.
Also, the dialogue is terrible. TERRIBLE. FMC tells people to “screw off” quite a bit. Sometimes without context or reason. At one point she asked MMC to take her to a random room and do her, he smiles at her, then for no reason at all she says “Are you denying me attention?” Because he smiled??? I guess the author thinks that’s showing she’s feisty…maybe?
The author alludes to the fact that she is the youngest child of a white trash family with a sketchy past with a possible abusive father (very vague so maybe not), referring to them as “Messy Monroes” repeatedly but not elaborating on who exactly calls them that…I guess ye old townsfolk?
The author is clearly planning to give more details in the next book. About… Villi. Villain. Great nickname 🙄
Her friends are actually the stupidest people to ever exist in side character literature. Now, bare with me, because I went to a women’s college, and though we had some dudes, it was decidedly female and feminist and I don’t remember anyone acting the way they did. Flashing people? Is this the 90s? Everyone has cameras at the ready and your boobs online is forever. Her homie Ruby is a famous fashion designer flashing her boobs to random dudes on campus? Yeah, okay. Her girl Mila is pre-med but has time to party with her boyfriend who sucks in bed and in personality. That’s really all she offers to the story. Roommate Ella just flings her door open every five minutes for no reason. Mentions a random girl at the “Confession Party” whom her connection to is unestablished but she must rescue, resulting in her letting everyone know she’s a virgin (the premise of this godforsaken book).
Confession parties and frat parties where the “leader” gives a speech about the purpose of the party… ummmm what? Again, correct me if this is a state college thing I missed in my college experience.
I MUST give a shout out to the CRINGEST thing I’ve ever read: the DJ’s comment “Get this sexual party rocking and dripping…” WTF 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
But the final nail in the coffin for me was MMC taking her SISTER HOME FROM THE BAR. There is no going back from that. I don’t care if he was drunk declaring his love for FMC. He still went to someone else’s place with EVERY intention of sexing her. Positively not.
My first by London but definitely not my last! This book had a touch of bully, a little alpha, some possessiveness and TONS of heat!! The H was kinda weird but written to be that way, his family life was rough and the story left lots of holes in the end about it. Did the mom ever wonder about her son? See him on T.V. Did the dad die? Reconcile with Mac? Same situation with our h. It was eluded that the parents were dead? Absent? And that it wasn’t a healthy situation, that the oldest sister raised the 2 younger ones and we were never told why. What happened after college? Did Mac and Violet stay together? Live in same state? Country? So many loose ends and that’s rough for me. All in all though, this was a good book! I was so excited to wake up and continue reading this morning and that is a staple of a good darn book! I will be checking out her other books for sure and can’t wait the 9 days left for Villi’s book (who actually played a large role in this book too…almost too much)!
Loved these two!! Violet the virgin and Mac the machine. Two unlikely pair. He’s a playboy. Any girl, any time. She’s a virgin looking to give up her “ V “ card. Mac is a star hockey player. He has a future full of endorsements and and contracts. He doesn’t do relationships and he definitely doesn’t fall in love. Especially with a virgin. Violet is a law student. She’s steady and has a plan for her life. A plan that includes losing her virginity. And Mac would be such a good candidate to get the job done. This is a sweet college romance. These two are perfect together and their story is hot and sweet at the same time. I accidentally read book two before this one, but it’s ok. I’m all caught up now and am hopeful for a book 3!
This story is different from other ones that I have read by this author and not so much in a good way. The story as such is good but it could easily be about 10 chapters shorter and I don't think anyone would know the difference. I got so tired of it that I thought maybe I should just quit it. But that is not really my style but I most certainly speed read through quite a number of chapters and that way it became good.
I need more!! I'm not ready for this one to end. Where does he go? What happened to his dad? What about her being a lawyer? This book gets 5 stars because I loved it, but I need more of them. I was hooked from the start. These two together are fire! I love their back and forth and their whole story.
Wow. This is my first time reading a book by London Casey and she reeled me in at the very beginning. I couldn't put this book down. It was funny, cute, confusing and it gave me a much needed rush. It left me all warm and fuzzy. I want so much more from Violet and Mac. Can we get more?? This is a must read!!
Enjoyed the plot, but didn’t enjoy the formatting or flow of the book. Every thought or action is a new line, not a single paragraph in the whole book.
Additionally, not enough back story on the FMC’s sisters. It is clear there is tension but all three sisters relationships feel ingenious.
All in all, good to read once but wouldn’t read it again.
This book was actually pretty good. I was hesitant due to the name, but I have been DNF'ing a lot of book lately and this one held my attention. I am new to this author but I will definitely be reading Villian's story next. This book was a nice surprise and I will make sure to follow this author!!
This book was very juvenile. I pride myself in finishing a book even if it's a struggle. However I just could not finish this one. It was all over the place, hardly any plot or depth to the characters. The writing was awful.
Not gonna lie. The way this is written was hard to get into the book. A me problem for sure, but after I got used to the style I really liked this book. Now I've got to get thru Villi's and it probably written the same way. Pray for me.
This was a cute, hot story but the telling of it was disjointed. I liked his and her friends…they all need their own stories. Their family histories aren’t as bad as some. This would’ve been better if the transitions were smoother.
I thought it was good. It’s just wasn’t very plot based and I knew that going in I just thought there was going to be a little more added to it. I don’t think I really rooted for the characters long term because it just stemmed they were just lusting after each other.
I loved how crazy and authentic the characters are. The trope was a little different and the situations were very funny. Can’t wait to read about Villi and Vera.
