This seems like it was written as a parody of Johnstone’s other novels. Over the top characters spewing extreme left wing and right wing talking points, a plot to change America, and tons of militaristic gun play violence. Unfortunately none of the characters are interesting or even remotely likable, even the bad guys are just ridiculous political caricatures.
I’m almost convinced this was authored by someone other than Johnstone.

My first experience with a William W. Johnstone book (unless you count "Baby Grand", which I don't think he had that much to do with).
What a mess! Ridiculous dialogue and the most convoluted plot I've ever encountered.
