10/18/23 - since wala pa sa good reads yung rushing through my veins, sa notes muna ako mag ddrop ng review ko. MY FAVE COUPLE SA RARA AVIS!!!! GRABE SOBRANG ANGAS NILA SOBRANG BALIW DIN SILANG DALAWA. this is my first time na makaencounter na drug addict at may anger issue na jboy, dahil typically ang jboy ay perfect, tho super duper perfect sakin si erik hidalgo pucha. i love love how different jonaxx built this story, how different the characters were from her previous stories. maraming mga cls characters na nabanggit. may mga tanong na nasagot about the hidalgo’s and erikson huhuhu taena ano ba kasi nangyari sa hidalgo? first time ko talaga makabasa ng ganito, the plot was so different. yung jboy pucha baliw na baliw tipong pasasabugin talaga ulo mo LITERALLY at babaliin yung kamay huhuhu napaka hot gago. AND FOR AERIS!! SOBRANG ANGAS. I REALLY REALLY REALLY like her personality, confidence, and sobrang astig talaga and her thoughts are funny talaga so super naenjoy ko kasi di nakakainis jgirl, buhat niya sarili niya! AND MYGHAD it was my first time to encounter a jgirl touching herself!!!!! hindi ko kinaya! sobrang hindi! THE LOCKER SCENE MYGHAD! I love their relationship huhu super mapang inis si aeris yung parang nakakahinga lang siya pag niloloko niya si erik huhu. THEY ARE THE HOTTEST/WILDEST COUPLE FOR ME AT BALIW. 100000000/10
11/01/23 - I just finished reading Erik’s POV, it was so good that it makes me want to cry hard and I know to myself na hindi ako makakamove on talaga kay Erik. Pinaka maraming nabookmark ko na pov ng jboy to kasi sobrang lala niya talaga, ibang iba sa mga jboy huhuhu Here is the bitch daw 😭. He would literally do anything for Aeris. He can sacrifice everything just to be with Aeris. SOBRANG GRABE BALIW NA BALIW TALAGA. tas yung high si Aeris HAHAHAHHAHAHAH yung binulong ni Aeris sakanya huhuhu tas sinakyan pa ni gago HAHHAHAHAHAH baliw talaga and for him to call love shallow HUHUHU grabe erik 1M/10!!! will definitely reread this. I wish to read this story for the first time!
The first act conflict between Aeris and Erik is more subtle?
And I feel like the characters here are more matured in a sense.
Plus since both characters are mostly alike, in terms of their field; I got more connected to them
There’s definitely so much more to improve in terms of the plot but I do think this was my favorite so far just because the caharacters weren’t hard to love
It seems slow at some point and repetitive but I didn’t read this to expect a 10/10 writing style in all, I just wanted to feel “kilig” and the experience of getting lost in a book.
2.5 ! I feel that it could've been better if it wasn't bitin 🥲 a special chapter would suffice, i think. I just looked forward to aeris bragging about erik, going to social functions, and having a “proper” date because it's what they deserve and planned! Maybe that's why the wakas didn’t feel fulfilling. I also noticed some grammatical errors and typos, but among the three, this is my current favorite in the series (well i think it'll change soon kasi i kinda like mori, idk)
i loved it but then it just kept on dragging on and on. aeris' monologue felt like it just kept on repeating without any character development. the plot was okay, just the romance felt so slow and underdeveloped even towards the end. i understand that this genre is new for jonaxx so hoping for the next books to be better🤞🏻
Reading Rushing Through My Veins (Rara Avis #3) by Jonaxx made me feel like everything in me was moving fast—my heart, my thoughts, my emotions. I was rushing, too. Grabe, I never really enjoyed action-themed fictional stories before. I thought they weren’t for me. But this one completely changed that. It was a perfect mix of action, mystery, and just the right amount of kilig. It thrilled me to the point that I want to explore more stories like this.
The plot was so well-written. I felt like I was right there with them, solving the case, putting clues together, and facing dangers. It made me feel smart, curious, and emotionally involved all at once. I love Aeris so much—she’s such a powerful character. As a soldier, she’s willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of world peace, and I admire that deeply. Her strength is quiet but solid. She’s not afraid to speak with reason and to choose logic over emotions when needed, and that makes her even more real and respectable.
At the same time, I appreciated that she’s honest about her limitations. She knows she can’t control everyone, and she accepts that with maturity. That kind of humility in a strong woman hit me hard—it reminded me that being powerful doesn’t mean having it all together all the time. Sometimes, it just means choosing to keep going even when things are out of your hands.
And then there’s Erik. I felt so much for him. Behind his perfect image is a painful past—he was a victim of a drug-addicted environment during his childhood. That trauma shaped him, but it didn’t destroy him. Instead, it pushed him to get into rehab and later, the military. His desire to solve missions involving drugs wasn’t just about duty—it was personal. That made his journey even more inspiring for me. It reminded me that even if we come from darkness, we can still choose light.
Aeris and Erik are complete opposites in some ways—Aeris is the mind, Erik is the heart. But they balance each other out so beautifully. Aeris is strong, ruthless when needed, and always in control. But Erik? Aeris is his one weakness. He might be known as the perfect soldier, but she’s the flaw in his armor. And somehow, that makes their love story more raw, more grounded. It’s not about being flawless—it’s about choosing each other even with all the chaos around them.
What I learned from this story is something I’ll carry with me: even if our past is full of chaos or darkness, healing is still possible—if we are willing to change, not for anyone else, but for ourselves. And healing doesn’t happen all at once. Sometimes it’s a slow rush, like something quietly running through your veins. Bit by bit, we become who we’re meant to be.
The title Rushing Through My Veins fits perfectly—not just for the story’s pace, but for the emotions. Love, anger, pain, hope—all of it felt like it was coursing through me. Aeris and Erik’s story didn’t just rush through their veins; it rushed through mine, too.
I love them both. I love their flaws, their strength, their journey. And just like them, I’m learning that life isn’t just black and white. There’s always that grey area—the in-between we’re meant to explore. And maybe that’s where healing begins.

I’ve been a silent Jonaxx fan for years now. I loved all her stories! Her new series, Rara Avis, is not an exception. This third installment is about Louis Vincent “Erik” Hidalgo and Aeris Van Arsdale. The two met when they are still in high school and got separated after Aeris accused Erik of illegal drug use which eventually led him to rehab. Their paths crossed again after a few years, when both entered the military. They even became partners on a mission, which failed due to their “unprofessional conduct”. It seems like fate is not done with them yet. They met again, but this time, Aeris is working as a markswoman for his twin brother. Erik, being the security commandant and successor of Rara Avis, knew the stakes. Their relationship is like ice and fire. Time and time again proved that. Aeris is always teasing Erik, and he can’t stop himself from doing unspeakable things just to protect her. But they needed to focus in order to succeed on this unfinished mission which involves the twin’s stepfather. Enough of the spoilers, though. 😅
Aeris and Erik are my favorite Rara Avis couple! They complement each other. They’re both pretty badass in their own right. I love how the author connected the little details from Costa Leona series up to this latest installment. There are mentions and cameos of unforgettable characters from CLS. And Jonah wrote a glimpse of Erik and Darius’s family history, that of the Hidalgos. Good thing I read A Kiss to Costa Leona before reading this one. I found out about the tragic end of Erikson (their biological father), Adler and Cassie. 😭 I love the uniqueness of the story, the air of mystery and suspense! I hope that Jonah will not get tired of writing amazing stories such as this! Looking forward to read RA4 and hopefully, Darius, Gino and Gio will have their own story in the future. 😍😍
I'm completely enamored with this story. It's fascinating how others fail to appreciate Aeris' attitude, which, to me, feels like the most realistic portrayal. Her playful banter with Erik is a highlight, showcasing her wit and charm. I admire how she approaches situations with rationality, a trait often overlooked in female characters but one that I find incredibly refreshing and relatable.
And Erik, oh, his obsession with Aeris is palpable. His unwavering dedication adds depth to their relationship, creating an undeniable chemistry that keeps readers hooked.
The slow burn of the narrative is simply captivating. While some may have been disappointed with the ending, I found it perfectly fitting. Aeris defying the damsel in distress trope and ultimately saving her beloved Erik speaks volumes about her character development. It's a testament to her strength and agency, which are traits I deeply admire in female protagonists.
I must express my gratitude to Ate J for crafting such a compelling story. The anticipation for its publication is palpable; I eagerly await the opportunity to delve deeper into the lives of Aeris and Erik. Their upcoming dates, encounters with each other's parents, and perhaps even Aeris' evolving views on marriage promise to add layers of complexity to an already enthralling narrative.
In the end, I can't help but hope that Aeris will come to recognize Erik's worth and choose to marry him. He's proven time and time again that he's deserving of her love and companionship, and I believe their union would be nothing short of magical."
They're crazy for each other. Always bitin talaga ako lagi sa stories ni jonaxx 😭😭😭 Ano ba naman ang magdagdag ng kilig chapters bago ang Wakas... Pasilip lang ng most awaited date nila. And if magpapakasal ba silang dalawa. (Erik said na willing siyang walang kasal but I want to know now if si Aeris willing na magpakasal) ilang taon pa bago maging book to, tapos doon lang may special chapter (kung meron man) 😭😭😭
Bitin yung part ng wakas na present na 😭 I want moreeeeee

The Third installation of Rara avis series by jonaxx. Gusto ko iyong way ng writing talaga niya ever since naging fan niya ako since 2013. Aaminin ko na meron siyang books na mediocre pero nakaka proud lang na nag grow ako with you. If you look for a romance then sage and pietro will never disappoint you. This book tackles about trust. I don't wanna add more to avoid the exciting feels of those who wants to read. You can read it on jonaxx stories app.
Controversial kind of novel. It shows the reality of how drugs can affect human life, both the user and its surroundings. It gives a hopeful vibe that drug addicts are deserving of second chances, and letting go of such habit is possible. Both characters are crazy inlove with one another. I love how they are both willing to sacrifice for the good of the other. I like the ending, although I would like it more if it gives more of their life after the conflict.

I'm going crazy over this, seriously. I have mixed emotions while reading this story. I love the Rara Avis series so much! Erik and Aeris truly deserve each other. And the Hidalgos definitely deserve justice and forgiveness even more. Put me inside of this story, I swear, I'll hit you with a punch, haha! especially to that Noel! 😡

Hindi ko pa rin matanggap ang nangyari sa Hidalgo's. Super nakakaiyak POV ni Juanda TT but for this story naman, I really love the style of ate ate j when it comes to titling. You will never know the story behind each title not unless you read the whole story. In this case, I thought Erik was using that because it was rushing through his veins but the plot has a purrrfect twist for that.
better compared sa last two installments. i just noticed na why can’t the author explicitly say na ‘di na virgin yung female lead niya unlike sa male lead na ilang beses na namention. been a while since i last read her stories but i remember seeing comments na her readers would always expect the female lead to be virgin kaya big deal pag ‘di na virgin yung fl.
The best book in the series!!!! Though, it would be best to have more moments with Erik and Aeris but everything was so good! Would love to have the physical books of this series!
medj nabagalan lg ak sa flow GRAAAAH pero bet ko siya kasi different sa naunang dalawang story na panget yung ekalal tas years later mag g-glow up siya
