Set Your Eyes Higher is a 40 day devotional to help with your anxiety and encourage you to focus on God. The author takes her experiences and uses them to point you back to the gospel. I really enjoyed this devotional and think it would be really good for teen girls!

I don’t usually read too many devotionals (I prefer commentaries with my Bible reading heehee) but I really enjoyed going through this devo book!! Whitney does a great job of backing up everything she says with scripture, and is very authentic with sharing her own experiences/struggles while at the same time speaking truth in love and pointing the reader to Jesus. I loved the overall theme of lifting our eyes up past the distractions/lies of the enemy, and setting them on our identity in Christ and the abundance that comes from a life lived poured out for Jesus.

I wish this book had more days! Finishing it felt bittersweet, but the beauty of a devotional like this is that it’s never really finished—it’s something I can return to whenever I need a reminder of God’s love and guidance (which, let’s be honest, is often). From day 1 to day 40, it felt like the author had me in mind, speaking right to my heart with encouragement and truth. I’ve already gifted this to half a dozen friends, and I plan to keep a stash on hand because it’s just that uplifting. Plus, it’s absolutely adorable—who says spiritual growth can’t come with such cute aesthetics?

Set your Eyes Higher is a 40 day devotional book to work on anxiety. The book has a great format of with a 2-3 page devotional, followed by suggested scripture reading and a prayer for you that relates to the day's topic. This beautiful hardback book is a friendly size filled with photos, wisdom and is aesthetically pleasing.

The book is divided into four themes. I am enjoying reading through each day and appreciate the themes presented. The style of the book is open and inviting. It will help anyone grow in their faith and make progress with anxiety. I highly recommend Set your Eyes Higher by Whitney Lowe. A great addition to your 2025.

This book is pretty topical, with only a couple verses that apply to the each day’s devotional (from various books and passages throughout Scripture). However, I really appreciated the ease of reading and the relevance of its topics. I always looked forward to using this each day, as her stories are intriguing, sometimes even funny, and most of the time, relatable. In a season of life where I felt like I didn’t have time or much mental energy to dive deeply into the Word or a homework-driven devotional, this was a great way to stay in the Word and keep the habit of having a quiet time. I loved the prayer prompts at the end of each chapter and the suggested extra passages to dive deeper.

I look forward to seeing what Whitney writes next, as she truly has a gift!

This a visually lovely book to hold and read. Small hardback, with beautiful pictures and text. Set out to read daily, or as and when you want too. I have massive issues with most faith books and neally always feel like throwing them across the room in all honesty! But this was an enjoyable reading experience. Felt like the most relevant and relatebale Christian book I have read so far.
