This “RSV, Personal Size Reference Bible (Black)” is genuine leather, mildly textured, and easy to hold in my hand. It’s the perfect size for a handbag or briefcase when you’re on the go-or if you travel a lot, like I do. The spine is also pretty, so it looks just as pretty on the shelf!
I’m fairly new to the RSV (Revised Standard Version) but I’m impressed so far at its readability. I love the poetic text of the KJV, but when I want to study deeper or have a tired brain, this version uses simple wording.
The text is the traditional two-column design, leaving very little white-space for notetaking, but there are blank note pages in the back, along with a one-year Bible reading plan, an index, colorful full-page maps, etc. And the thumb-index is one of my favorite features, making it super easy to find a particular Bible book.
This Bible offers a lay-flat design, two satin ribbon bookmarks, a presentation page for gift-giving, and comes in a protective folding-box. If you prefer a smaller size Bible with the full Old and New Testaments, this is a good choice.
