Beth McCord, widely known as Your Enneagram Coach, shows how motherhood is divinely intended to be a transformative journey where moms not only help paint a portrait of their family, but also cultivate resilience, self-awareness, and deep connections with God, their spouse, and their children.
Beth McCord takes women on a transformative journey through motherhood, blending Enneagram wisdom with practical insights to foster authentic and healthy family dynamics. Beth unveils a guiding metaphor that brings clarity to the intricate art of diverse colors on a divine palette, graciously used by God to create the beautiful messiness of family life, all the while empowering and redeeming our contributions as parents. These colors represent the unique motivations and strategies reflective of each Enneagram Type.
God alone is the Master Artist intricately involved in every brushstroke, so moms can find rest and confidence in knowing that the outcomes of His masterpiece are in His capable hands. Gaining deeper understanding of their own inner world (and not just their kids', which is what many parents seek the most), The Enneagram for Moms will help
find healing for their emotional patterns and personality, allowing them to be healthy and positive influences in their children's lives;discover how their distinct shades already color their parenting approach;gain valuable tools to help their children navigate their own emotional landscapes with self-awareness and resilience;see themselves and their children as God intends, breaking free from the cycles of mommy shaming and mommy guilting; andrecognize that each child already possesses a unique blend of colors, reflecting God's infinitely beautiful design.
This essential resource speaks directly to the heart of every mother, caregiver, or concerned adult seeking guidance and peace. Moms no longer need to strive for perfection or conform to society's expectations or their own insecure standards of comparison. Instead, they can rely on God's providence and guidance as they navigate the beautiful messiness of family life.

“Your kids will not remember every story you read to them or every interaction or lecture you share with them throughout their lives, but they will vividly remember how you react when you stumble in front of them — and how you respond to their blunders as well.”
I am so invested in the Enneagram and learning how to be more fully who God created me to be. When it comes to parenting two boys who are very different from each other and me, I am always seeking to learn more about parenting then well. The Enneagram for Moms is a great primer for those not very familiar with Enneagram types. Beth McCord gives examples from her own life of how trying to parent as her type 9 self did and did not resonate with her children who were different types than her. As a type 9 myself, I found those examples very helpful as I thought through my own interactions with my kids.

Thank you Thomas Nelson and TLC Book Tours for the gifted copy.
Lots of encouragement but also non fluffy practicability. If you’re a seasoned enneagram enthusiast like myself there may be parts that you feel like you can skip over but if you haven’t thought about how your type may show up in patenting especially your steer and growth paths I wouldn’t skip over much even if you think you can.
Four and 1/2 stars. Read this book as a grandmother as the parenting journey never ends. Some helpful thoughts about the enneagram and how to use it to know myself and others better and to improve my relationships.
Love love loved this book! Not only is it a helpful tool for Mothers, it can be used for Fathers and any other relationships in your life. Using these tools to help you healthily interact in all relationships will make communication and understanding a more natural way of life. I recommend this book to all readers! I received this book through Goodreads.
While I’m not an enneagram expert or true enthusiast, but I do think it is relevant to many aspects of our lives. I really enjoyed reading about how I can healthily or unhealthily apply my type in parenting. Also the prayers for each type were a nice touch.
I found this book to be practical and helpful. It was not about typing your kids but understanding how your number impacts your parenting, which was helpful to read more about.
Very encouraging, affirming, warning, teaching, and an excellent resource to keep on hand for future reference into the nine types and parenting. Useful for self and spouse.
