Two elves, one human, and one mage linked by fate, but how?
A world where elves are slaves, humans are their masters, and mages rule from the background. In Elven The Awakened, the first book in the Elven Liberation series, immerse yourself in a world where children who are forced to be adults weave the beginning of change. The stars may guide, but their choices are their own.
Five hundred years ago, elven magic became chaotic and nearly destroyed the world of Vex'sar. The mage, Gor'del, was able to kill the elven leader and banish elven magic. Now, a new threat of elven magic is drawing near. Gor'del and his changeling companion, Morkar, are on the search for an elf known as “the awakened.” Only the awakened has the power to restore elven magic, and they must be stopped. As they search, Gor’del begins to realize that there is more to elven magic than he previously realized and that the awakened may be only a small piece to a much more complex puzzle.
Elven The Awakened, is the first book in the Elven Liberation series.
Praise for Elven The Awakened
"The Awakened by E.W. Crandall pulls you in with strong characters that are easy to identify with. I've read it twice because I enjoyed the plot and characters." - Stephen Deifel, Sci-fi author
"This story is an absolute twist on what we normally see from high fantasy novels with a very different framing of the elf/human relationship and plot creation. The world-building is exceptional - this is no easy task, especially for a first book. Further, the character development is on point with diverse and interesting nuances. This is a must-read for fans of high fantasy!" - Livvy Nicklaus, Social Media Influencer
E.W. Crandall is a master storyteller. Her characters are well-developed. I was engaged right from the beginning and the plot kept my interest well.
I loved the first 2/3 of the book and I would have confidently given this book 5 stars, but then there was some questionable content that detracted from the fantastic story. I just wish the few sexual encounters (not explained in detail) and the budding homosexual relationship were omitted so I could wholeheartedly recommend it.
This plot is clever and so well-written. This is definitely meant to be read as a series as the ending was a bit abrupt without full resolution. I listened to Elven Liberation and the reader was impressive, doing all the accents! 4 stars!

This book is well-written and interesting. I enjoyed reading it. I really like that there is no foul language. I look forward to reading the next book.
