Charlotte's Webb by Charlotte S. Jaffe is such a wonderful book I love this book. This is definately one of my all time favorite book. This story is about friendship and love and respect. Wilbur the pig lives out at the barn with the other animals and they all become friends. Charlotte is a spider who is very wise and loyal and so undelfish to all of her friends. Charlotte and Wilbur developed a friendship that lived on after she dies through her children.

I would read this book to teach about love and friendship the importance of being a good friend to someone. Also teach the children not to be selfish toward one another.I would do a lesson on being Compassionate. Social,Emotional development. I would teach about the animals and farm life and insects.
